How these 2026 picks were selected
These recommendations are based on Food Network’s February 5, 2026 U.S. comparison, which purchased and tested 15 ten-inch pans. Its evaluation included heat-distribution measurements and cooking tests with fish, pancakes, and frittatas. Food Network named Made In CeramiClad Best Overall, Tramontina Professional Best Value, Made In Non Stick Best Pro-Style, and the GreenPan GP5 Infinite8 set Best Set.
This article does not claim hands-on testing by this publication. Food Network’s test results provide the independent comparison here; current manufacturer pages provide construction, care, compatibility, and temperature specifications. Where those sources disagree, the more conservative model-page limit is used.
For shopping purposes, start with a 10-inch nonstick frying pan if you mostly cook for one or two people and want a versatile everyday size. A 10-inch pan is large enough for several eggs, a fish fillet, pancakes, or a small frittata without becoming as heavy or cumbersome as a 12-inch pan.
1. Best overall: Made In CeramiClad Non Stick Frying Pan
The Made In CeramiClad frying pan is the best premium ceramic option for cooks who want polished heat control and easy release without a PTFE coating. In Food Network’s testing, it was consistent with eggs, pancakes, fish, and frittatas, while also cleaning up easily.
- Coating: ceramic nonstick interior
- Construction: five-ply metal construction, according to Food Network and Made In
- Cooktops: gas, electric, and induction
- Oven limit: use the manufacturer’s lower listed limit of 500°F, rather than Food Network’s reported 550°F, unless the exact model manual confirms a different rating
- Cleaning: hand-wash only
- Manufacturing: Made In identifies the pan as made in the United States
- Price reference: the current product page showed a listed price of $149 when checked; prices can change
- Warranty: the product page presents a limited-lifetime warranty context; read the current warranty terms for exclusions and coverage
The five-ply body is the reason to consider CeramiClad over a very inexpensive coated aluminum pan: it is designed around substantial, even-heating metal construction rather than only a slick surface. That does not make the ceramic coating permanent or indestructible. Like other coated pans, its release performance can decline with overheating, abrasive cleaning, and everyday wear.
Buy it if: you use induction, care about even cooking, prefer ceramic, and are willing to hand-wash a premium pan.
Skip it if: you want dishwasher convenience, the lowest price, or a pan you can routinely heat aggressively and treat roughly.
2. Best value: Tramontina Professional Nonstick Restaurant Fry Pan
The Tramontina Professional 10-inch nonstick frying pan is the practical budget pick for gas, electric, and ceramic-glass stoves. Food Network praised its heavy-duty feel, long handle, everyday performance with foods such as eggs and pancakes, low price, and dishwasher compatibility.
- Body: heavy-gauge aluminum
- Interior: reinforced nonstick surface
- Handle: riveted cast-stainless handle with a removable silicone grip
- Cooktops: gas, electric, and ceramic-glass
- Induction: not compatible
- Oven limit: 400°F on the current manufacturer listing
- Cleaning: dishwasher-compatible according to the product information, although hand-washing is gentler on coated cookware
- Availability: the manufacturer’s 10-inch listing currently reports backorder status; check stock before planning around it
Its biggest advantage is that it offers useful everyday nonstick performance without asking you to pay for a stainless-clad body or a full cookware set. The trade-off is important: if you own an induction range, this is the wrong pick regardless of its price or test results.
The removable silicone grip is useful when handling a hot pan, but it also makes the exact oven instructions worth checking. Do not assume that every handle configuration, grip position, or accessory shares the same temperature rating.
Buy it if: you cook on gas, electric, or ceramic-glass and want the most affordable tested recommendation.
Skip it if: you have induction, need a higher oven rating, or need the pan immediately while the 10-inch listing is backordered.

- Superior Nonstick Performance: Featuring a reinforced coating, our pots and pans set offers exceptional durability and effortless food release, making cleanup easier.
- Special Texture Design: Crafted with one-of-a-kind exterior texture for standout visual appeal. The exclusive surface detailing delivers a premium look and complements any kitchen setting.
- Easy Clean: Hand washing is highly recommended for effortless care. Just wipe clean with a paper towel or rinse quickly under running water.
- Silicone Sealed Glass Lid: Lids of the pots have silicone edge that creates a tight seal to lock in moisture and flavor, allows you to monitor cooking without lifting, and protects against chipping for added safety
- Set Includes: 8'' frying pan, 9.5'' frying pan, 11'' frying pan, 2-qt saucepan with lid, 2.5-qt stockpot with lid, 4.5-qt stockpot with lid, 7-qt stockpot with lid, 4.5-qt sauté pan with lid, ladle, slotted spatula, spatula, tongs, pasta server, steamer, 7*pan protectors.
3. Best pro-style conventional nonstick: Made In Non Stick Frying Pan
The Made In Non Stick Frying Pan is the choice for cooks who prioritize maximum slickness and induction flexibility over a ceramic-coating preference. Food Network found that it produced even pancakes and released fish and frittatas easily.
- Construction: five-ply stainless-clad body
- Surface: professional-grade conventional nonstick coating
- Cooktops: gas, electric, and induction
- Oven limit: 500°F
- Cleaning: hand-wash only
- Utensils: Made In does not recommend metal utensils
- Availability: the product page showed the pan as sold out in the crawled view; verify current stock
This is the better match than CeramiClad when the main goal is effortless release from delicate foods. Conventional nonstick surfaces generally feel slicker than ceramic surfaces, especially when cooking eggs or sliding a frittata from the pan. The compromise is coating preference: Made In’s current product page describes an FDA-approved nonstick surface but does not establish a PFAS-free claim. Do not infer that it is PFAS-free from the general term nonstick.
Buy it if: you use induction or another compatible cooktop and want a highly slick pan for delicate foods.
Skip it if: you specifically want a ceramic or PFAS-free product claim, use metal utensils routinely, or need a pan that is currently guaranteed to be in stock.
4. Best ceramic set: GreenPan GP5 Infinite8 Ceramic Nonstick Frypan Set
The GreenPan GP5 Infinite8 set is the best route for shoppers who want multiple ceramic nonstick sizes and induction compatibility rather than one premium skillet. Food Network selected it as its top set after testing and noted its ceramic surface, dishwasher compatibility, induction readiness, and reported oven rating of up to 600°F.
A set can be better value than buying several pans individually, but it also increases the chance that you will own sizes you rarely use. Check the included diameters, lids, storage requirements, and return policy before buying. The exact GP5 product page or manual should be the authority for its oven limit, dishwasher instructions, and the rating of any lid or handle.
GreenPan markets its ceramic cookware as PFAS-free. That is a manufacturer claim and should be attributed to the specific product or collection. GreenPan’s current Valencia Pro documentation supports the brand’s ceramic positioning, induction-ready Magneto base, hard-anodized body, and a 600°F oven claim for the pan, but Valencia Pro specifications should not automatically be transferred to the GP5 Infinite8 set.

Ceramic is also not synonymous with the slickest possible cooking surface. Food Network’s testing notes acknowledge that ceramic can feel less slippery than traditional nonstick. For many cooks, that is an acceptable trade-off for the coating preference and set format; for very delicate eggs, a conventional nonstick pan may release more effortlessly.
Buy it if: you want a coordinated ceramic set, cook on induction, and value having several sizes.
Skip it if: you only need one pan, expect traditional nonstick levels of slipperiness, or cannot confirm the exact GP5 model’s current specifications.

Other strong options worth considering
OXO Ceramic Professional Non-Stick 10-Inch Frypan: a sensible induction alternative
The OXO Ceramic Professional 10-Inch Frypan is a strong current single-pan alternative, especially for an induction kitchen. OXO lists a diamond-reinforced ceramic coating, hard-anodized body, heavy-duty induction base, dishwasher safety, and oven safety up to 600°F. The product page also makes PFOA-, lead-, and cadmium-free claims.

HexClad 10-Inch Hybrid Frying Pan: for searing and utensil tolerance
The HexClad 10-Inch Hybrid Frying Pan is best treated as a searing-oriented alternative rather than the default choice for the slickest egg pan. HexClad describes a tri-ply aluminum-core construction, stainless-steel ridges, a TerraBond ceramic nonstick coating, induction compatibility, dishwasher safety, metal-utensil safety, and oven safety up to 900°F.
These are HexClad’s claims. They should not be presented as independently verified durability results, and a high oven rating does not mean that repeatedly empty-heating the pan on the stovetop is safe or beneficial. The ridged hybrid surface can offer a different balance between browning, protected coating areas, and release, but it may not feel as slippery as a conventional nonstick pan for eggs.
Buy it if: you want hybrid construction, use induction, value the manufacturer’s metal-utensil claim, and cook foods where browning matters.

Which type of nonstick pan should you choose?
Traditional nonstick or PTFE-style coating
Choose a conventional nonstick pan when easy release is the priority. It is particularly useful for eggs, pancakes, fish, and frittatas, where sticking can ruin the shape of the food. The Made In Non Stick is the pro-style choice in this comparison.
The important limitation is care. Conventional nonstick is not a license for empty preheating, extreme stovetop temperatures, metal-tool abuse, or automatic broiler use. Follow the exact manual and replace the pan when its coating is visibly damaged or its release performance has materially deteriorated.
Ceramic nonstick
Choose ceramic when you prefer a ceramic surface or want a product whose manufacturer makes a PFAS-free claim for that particular model. The Made In CeramiClad is the premium single-pan recommendation, while the GreenPan GP5 is the set recommendation.

Hybrid nonstick
Choose a hybrid pan when you want some combination of a coated cooking surface, exposed stainless ridges, browning potential, and a manufacturer claim that metal utensils are acceptable. HexClad fits this use case. It is a compromise design, not automatically the best option for every food or cooking technique.
Cooktop compatibility matters more than many buyers expect
| Pan | Induction | Reported or listed oven limit | Dishwasher position |
|---|---|---|---|
| Made In CeramiClad | Yes | Use the manufacturer’s lower listed limit: 500°F | Hand-wash only |
| Tramontina Professional 10-inch | No | 400°F | Dishwasher-compatible listing; hand-washing is gentler |
| Made In Non Stick | Yes | 500°F | Hand-wash only |
| GreenPan GP5 Infinite8 | Food Network reports yes | Food Network reports up to 600°F; verify the exact GP5 manual | Food Network reports yes; verify the model instructions |
| OXO Ceramic Professional | Yes | 600°F manufacturer claim | Dishwasher-safe manufacturer claim |
| HexClad Hybrid | Yes, according to the product design | 900°F manufacturer claim | Dishwasher-safe manufacturer claim |
Induction is the clearest dividing line. Tramontina’s 10-inch Professional pan is not induction-compatible, while the Made In, GreenPan, OXO, and HexClad options above are described as induction-ready or compatible. If you are replacing a gas range with induction, check the exact model rather than assuming that every pan in a brand’s range will work.
Oven ratings also require care. A pan body, lid, silicone grip, removable handle, and collection may have different limits. A manufacturer’s 600°F pan rating does not automatically apply to a lid. Likewise, a high oven rating does not override instructions against broiler, open-flame, or empty-pan use.

Coating language is often more confusing than it needs to be. PTFE is a fluoropolymer within the broader PFAS chemical group. The German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment says properly used PTFE cookware is not expected to cause adverse health effects, but strongly overheated empty cookware can reach approximately 360°C and release hazardous gases. Gas and induction can heat a pan quickly, so an unattended empty pan is a poor practice on either cooktop.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration says some PFAS are approved for use in nonstick cookware coatings and that the polymerized coating contains a negligible amount of PFAS capable of migrating to food. That guidance does not mean every product has the same formulation or that all marketing terms are interchangeable.
- PFOA-free means the product does not contain or use PFOA as claimed. PFOA is one chemical within the wider PFAS family.
- PFAS-free is a broader claim, but it must be tied to the exact product and manufacturer documentation.
- Ceramic does not automatically prove that every pan marketed as ceramic is identical, permanent, or superior for every cooking task.
- Hybrid describes a construction and surface arrangement, not a guarantee of indestructibility or superior release.
GreenPan and HexClad make PFAS-free ceramic-related claims in their current product materials, while OXO makes PFOA-, lead-, and cadmium-free claims for its Ceramic Professional pan. Made In’s conventional Non Stick page does not establish a PFAS-free claim. The safest way to compare these labels is to read the documentation for the exact model, not to generalize from a brand name or the word ceramic.
None of these pans should be described as toxic-free, indestructible, or guaranteed to last a particular number of years. Intended use and correct temperature control matter more than a simplistic ceramic-versus-PTFE label.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsHow to make a nonstick pan last longer
- Do not heat it empty. Add food, oil, or another appropriate cooking medium soon after placing the pan on the burner. This is especially important with PTFE-coated cookware.
- Stay at low to medium heat for ordinary nonstick cooking. Nonstick pans are designed to reduce sticking, not to replace a dedicated high-heat searing pan. Follow the model manual if it gives different instructions.
- Do not use the broiler or an open flame unless the exact product instructions explicitly permit it. An oven-safe rating is not blanket approval for every heat source.
- Use silicone, nylon, wood, or another approved utensil. HexClad says its hybrid pan is metal-utensil safe, but that is a manufacturer claim rather than independent durability evidence. For the Made In Non Stick, follow the manufacturer’s no-metal-utensil recommendation.
- Avoid cooking sprays. Food Network recommends avoiding them because residue can build up and affect a coated surface.
- Hand-wash when practical. Tramontina, GreenPan, OXO, and HexClad list dishwasher compatibility or safety for the relevant products, but harsh detergent, high heat, and contact with other dishes can shorten the useful life of a coating. Made In CeramiClad and Made In Non Stick require hand-washing according to their current product information.
- Use gentle cleaning tools. Avoid abrasive pads and aggressive scouring that can wear the surface or leave scratches.
- Replace the pan when the coating is visibly damaged or release has materially declined. Do not continue treating a badly worn pan as if it were new.
What to look for before buying
1. Your cooktop
Confirm induction compatibility first. A pan that works on gas, electric, and ceramic-glass may still fail to heat on induction. This single check rules out the Tramontina Professional 10-inch for induction users.
2. Your preferred release behavior
For the slickest handling of delicate foods, choose the Made In conventional Non Stick. For a ceramic surface, choose CeramiClad or the GreenPan GP5 set. Expect ceramic to feel somewhat less slippery in exchange for that coating preference.
3. Your cleaning routine
If dishwasher use is non-negotiable, favor the Tramontina, GreenPan GP5, OXO, or HexClad products whose current information supports dishwasher use. Even then, hand-washing is the better longevity strategy for coated cookware.
Best Value
- Reinforced die-cast aluminum construction ensures long-term durability and reliability while maintaining a lightweight design, bringing convenience to your cooking experience.
- A top-level, harder granite material featuring 10x ultra non-stick performance to make your daily cooking safer and healthier.
- Recommend to hand wash the cookware as it is effortless to clean. Wipe it with a paper towel or rinse it with water.
- Heats up quickly and evenly with an extended bottom design on all cooktops, including induction.
- Carote provides 12 months warranty from the date of purchase. Please don't hesitate to reach out if any quality problem. You will be guaranteed to get satisfying solution.
4. Your oven needs
Read the exact product page and manual. Use 500°F for CeramiClad because that is the lower current manufacturer figure, not the higher test-source figure. Do not apply a pan rating to a lid, silicone sleeve, or removable grip without confirmation.
5. Whether you need one pan or a set
A single 10-inch pan is usually the more economical choice if you mainly cook breakfast or small meals. The GP5 set makes more sense when you regularly need different diameters and have enough storage space to keep them from rubbing against one another.
6. Availability and price
Check the live listing immediately before purchase. Made In’s traditional Non Stick pan appeared sold out in the product-page view used for this comparison, and Tramontina’s 10-inch Professional listing reported backorder status. The CeramiClad page showed $149 at the time checked, but prices and promotions are volatile.
Final recommendations by use case
| If you… | Choose… |
|---|---|
| Want the best premium ceramic single pan | Made In CeramiClad |
| Want the least expensive tested recommendation for a non-induction stove | Tramontina Professional |
| Want maximum slickness and induction flexibility | Made In Non Stick |
| Want several ceramic pan sizes | GreenPan GP5 Infinite8 set |
| Want a current ceramic alternative with induction and a 600°F manufacturer oven claim | OXO Ceramic Professional |
| Want a hybrid pan for browning, induction, and claimed metal-utensil tolerance | HexClad Hybrid |
The best choice is the one whose limitations fit your kitchen. CeramiClad is the most balanced premium recommendation, Tramontina is the value choice only for non-induction cooktops, Made In Non Stick is the release-focused option, and GreenPan GP5 is the most convenient path to a ceramic set. Whichever coating you choose, moderate heat, no empty preheating, gentle utensils, and model-specific care instructions will do more for useful service life than a broad marketing label.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best nonstick pan overall in 2026?
The Made In CeramiClad Non Stick Frying Pan is the best overall premium ceramic choice. Food Network found it consistent with eggs, pancakes, fish, and frittatas. It works on induction and other common cooktops, but the manufacturer lists hand-washing and a 500°F oven limit.

A free scan shows the junk files, broken settings and background clutter dragging Windows down - then fixes them in one click.Free scan · Windows 10 & 11Can I use the Tramontina Professional pan on induction?
No. Tramontina’s 10-inch Professional Nonstick Restaurant Fry Pan is not induction-compatible. It is intended for gas, electric, and ceramic-glass cooktops. Made In, GreenPan GP5, OXO Ceramic Professional, and HexClad options in this guide are described as induction-compatible, subject to the exact model.
Are PTFE nonstick pans safe to use?
Official guidance does not treat properly used PTFE cookware as inherently dangerous. The German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment warns against heating an empty PTFE-coated pan because severe overheating can release hazardous gases. Use low to medium heat for ordinary nonstick cooking and follow the product manual.
Is ceramic nonstick safer than traditional nonstick?
Not automatically. PFOA is one chemical within the broader PFAS family, so PFOA-free does not necessarily mean PFAS-free. Some manufacturers make PFAS-free claims for specific ceramic products, but those claims should be checked against the exact model’s documentation.
Is HexClad the best pan for eggs and delicate foods?
HexClad is worth considering when you want a hybrid surface, induction compatibility, browning potential, and the manufacturer’s metal-utensil and high-oven claims. It is not necessarily the best pan for the slickest egg release, and its durability claims should be treated as manufacturer claims rather than independent test results.
