For V60, choose a kettle with a gooseneck spout if you want more control over how quickly and where water pours. Add electric temperature control if setting a particular brewing temperature matters to your routine. The options below differ in features and capacity; available manufacturer information does not establish a tested overall winner, current prices or stock.
What matters in a V60 kettle
Spout control
A gooseneck spout is designed to make a narrow, controlled pour easier. Hario says the slim spout on its V60 Buono stovetop kettle helps control the amount and speed of water poured, while Fellow describes the Stagg EKGโs precision gooseneck as intended for slow pouring. These are manufacturer descriptions, not independent flow-rate measurements.
Temperature settings and holding
Spout shape and temperature control are separate features. Fellow lists variable, to-the-degree temperature control for the Stagg EKG, and Brewista describes temperature control on the Artisan. The cited Hario stovetop model is described for pour control, not electric temperature adjustment. Brewista says the Artisan can hold a selected brewing temperature for up to 60 minutes; that is a manufacturer specification, not an independently tested result.
Capacity and regional version
The cited Fellow US product page lists a 0.9 L Stagg EKG, while Hario lists a 1 L stovetop Buono. Product families and regional versions may differ, so check the exact listing for capacity, voltage and plug before buying. The cited Fellow US page specifies 110โ120 V; that specification should not be assumed for a model sold elsewhere.

- Choose by temperature needs: If you want to select a brewing temperature, compare electric models whose exact listings explicitly document that feature. Do not infer it from a gooseneck spout or from the Buono name alone.
- Choose by pouring and capacity: All four options are described by their makers as gooseneck or controlled-pour kettles. The cited capacity figures are 0.9 L for the Stagg EKG US listing and 1 L for the cited stovetop Buono; verify the particular version you are considering.
- Choose by workflow: Brewistaโs stated hold function may suit a slower or multi-cup routine. Fellow product pages distinguish features among Stagg EKG variants, so do not assume scheduling or other variant-specific features are present on every EKG.
- Choose by power and warranty: Check voltage and plug for your location. Warranty coverage also depends on generation: Fellowโs warranty page lists first-generation Stagg EKG among products with a one-year standard warranty.
- Consider other uses and budget: If you will also use the kettle for tea or general boiling, include those needs in your decision. Current prices and stock have not been established here, so value cannot be compared reliably.

- Confirm the full model name and whether it is electric or stovetop.
- For an electric kettle, verify temperature control, hold or scheduling features, capacity, voltage and plug on the listing for your region.
- Check the product generation and applicable warranty terms, particularly for a Fellow Stagg EKG.
- Compare current price and availability at the seller; neither is established by the manufacturer specifications cited here.
Manufacturer specifications explain intended features, but they do not prove that one kettle produces better V60 coffee than another. Choose according to the controls and capacity you need rather than treating any model as a universal winner.
