The 2024 early Black Friday home and furniture offers have expired. The sale coverage is still useful as a record of which retailers ran promotions, when they ran them, and which home categories were included—but none of those dates or discounts should be treated as live today. The evidence here is primarily about U.S. retailers; it does not establish availability in other countries.
What the 2024 early Black Friday coverage included
The promotions covered more than large furniture. Retailer announcements and dated shopping coverage included furniture for living rooms, bedrooms, dining areas, offices, and outdoor spaces, alongside decor and household goods. The specific examples below are historical; a reported discount or sale window does not establish a current price or current stock.
- Furniture: sofas, chairs, beds, nightstands, storage pieces, dining and living room furniture, patio furniture, and adjustable office furniture.
- Home and seasonal goods: decor, bedding, throws, lighting, kitchen products, small appliances, holiday trees, bathroom furniture, mattresses, and kitchen carts.
USA TODAY’s dated roundup identified furniture offers from Joybird, Wayfair, Pottery Barn, West Elm, Frontgate, Target, FlexiSpot, La-Z-Boy, and others. Tom’s Guide’s November 5, 2024 Home Depot article covered selected offers in appliances, decor, bathroom furniture, mattresses, and kitchen carts. These are examples from shopping coverage, not a complete retailer inventory or independent price-history analysis. USA TODAY’s roundup and Tom’s Guide’s article provide the dated context.
How the major retailer sale dates differed
Retailers did not share one early Black Friday schedule. The table separates the announced windows and conditions rather than treating every promotion as a single sale.

The dates and offer descriptions in this table are historical announcements. Retailer announcements establish what the company said it planned to offer, not whether a particular item remained available throughout the window or whether a markdown represented a saving against a consistent historical-price baseline.
How to read the reported furniture discounts
USA TODAY’s 2024 roundup reported specific furniture offers and prices across retailers, including seating, bedroom pieces, storage, dining and living room furniture, patio products, and adjustable office furniture. Those figures belong to that dated article and should not be repeated as current prices. The source set does not establish a consistent price-history method for comparing markdowns across brands, so a larger percentage-off claim alone cannot show which item offered better value.

For an individual item, the useful comparison is the same product’s current price, delivery charge and timing, return conditions, and eligibility for any promotion. Those details can vary by item and seller, and the historical coverage does not establish today’s terms.
