Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →If your Aiper Seagull Pro is not working, start by switching it off, clearing debris from its rollers and underside, checking that the filter basket is seated correctly, and fully recharging it with the supplied charger. Then test it in water. A flashing red light signals an error but does not identify the failed part; if the fault returns or the cleaner still will not move, contact Aiper support rather than opening the unit.
Start with safe checks
- Switch the cleaner off and remove it from the pool. Do not inspect the rollers while the cleaner is running.
- Clear visible debris. Check the wheels, drive rollers and underside for hair, string or other material. Remove it carefully; Aiper warns against using sharp tools near the roller surface.
- Check the filter basket. Make sure it is correctly installed and latched. A loose or incorrectly fitted basket can affect movement, while accumulated debris can reduce cleaning efficiency.
- Recharge fully. Use the Aiper-supplied charger and follow the charging checks below.
- Test in water. The rollers may not spin normally on dry land. Observe the cleaner in the pool rather than judging its drive operation on deck.
The Seagull Pro is a cordless robotic pool cleaner with floor, wall and auto modes, according to Aiper’s product page. Choose the mode suited to the cleaning task.
Flashing red light or one end lifting
Aiper says, “A flashing red light on the Seagull Pro is an error signal, not normal operation.” The indicator alone does not tell you whether the cause is a jam, a battery problem or a motor/drive fault.
With the cleaner switched off and out of the pool, clear debris from the wheels and underside and turn the wheels by hand to check for a jam. Recharge fully, restart, and see whether the red light returns. If it does—or the cleaner persistently tilts onto one end—stop troubleshooting and contact Aiper support.

Stuck or will not move
If the cleaner is briefly caught in a corner, wait a short time: Aiper describes an automatic escape routine. If it remains stuck, retrieve it and inspect its drive rollers for tangled hair, string or debris. Clear the material carefully, then check that the filter basket is correctly installed and latched.
Aiper’s Seagull Pro guide says, “If the Seagull Pro stops moving, check the filter basket and drive rollers first.” Test movement in water, since the rollers may not spin normally on dry land. If the cleaner remains still after 60 seconds in water, contact Aiper support.

Will not charge or runtime has fallen
- Switch the cleaner off before charging.
- Check the charging port for debris.
- Make sure the charger is properly connected and powered.
- Use the Aiper-supplied charger. If it is lost or damaged, request a replacement through Aiper support rather than substituting a generic charger.
Aiper’s guidance does not present the battery as a standalone user-replacement part. Do not open the cleaner or buy a generic replacement battery; contact Aiper if charging checks do not resolve the problem or battery performance remains abnormal.
Not cleaning properly or suction seems weak
Begin with a full charge and a clean, correctly installed filter basket. Aiper says debris buildup in the basket can affect suction and cleaning efficiency, and recommends cleaning it after use. Check these basic causes before concluding that the motor has failed.

First run or after unpacking
Before the first use, fully charge the cleaner and inspect its body and rollers for packaging foam or tape. Confirm that it is being used in the intended pool context, then select the floor, wall or auto mode that matches the task.
When to stop and contact Aiper
- The red error light returns after clearing debris, fully charging and restarting.
- The cleaner persistently tilts onto one end.
- It remains motionless after 60 seconds in water.
- Charging or runtime problems persist after checking the port and charger connection.
Do not force the cleaner over a strongly suctioning pool main drain: Aiper warns it can be pulled down and held against an uncovered drain. Aiper’s guide also advises that US pool drains have compliant anti-entrapment covers. For unresolved drive or battery faults, use Aiper’s support process instead of attempting an internal repair.

Parts and repair: verify before ordering
Aiper’s guidance directs battery-fault cases to support and says the battery is not replaced as a standalone part. Aiper also directs users to support for a replacement charger if the supplied one is lost or damaged. Its troubleshooting index lists a filter-basket replacement guide, but availability and compatibility of replacement parts are not established here. Confirm the exact Seagull Pro model and current availability with Aiper before ordering any part.
