The Adelaide 36ers were scheduled to host Melbourne United on Wednesday, 7 October 2026, for the Born to Build Construction Industry Round. The club announced a 7:00pm ACDT tip-off, partner activations in the ORB and a half-time Tradie Race. The round was presented by Master Builders SA, with Sterling Homes and SGP Civil also named as partners.
What the Born to Build round was about
In its pregame announcement on 6 October, the 36ers described the round as a celebration of South Australia’s construction and trade industries. Born to Build is a joint initiative of Master Builders SA and the South Australian Government, intended to showcase construction career opportunities and encourage the next generation of tradies.
Master Builders SA was the presenting partner. The club also identified Sterling Homes and SGP Civil as long-term partners. The announcement framed the event around career pathways available to young South Australians and the diverse opportunities in construction.
What fans were told to expect at the game
The scheduled fixture was Adelaide 36ers versus Melbourne United on Wednesday, 7 October 2026, with a 7:00pm ACDT tip-off. The club said tickets were limited when it published its announcement the previous day.

Adelaide 36ers CEO Nic Barbato said the partnership was a way to highlight construction opportunities for young people. He also compared apprenticeships with the development of the club’s Development Players, pointing to learning practical skills and building a foundation through experience.
