Xiaomi’s Chinese store currently displays RMB 2,499 for the white model, observed on October 8, 2026; prices and stock can change. Its “three-fold” smoke-purification description refers to product-reported airflow mechanisms, not independently verified performance. Before considering one for a renovation, check the exact model, cabinet and vent dimensions, and local installation support.
Which Xiaomi Mijia Smart Range Hood S2 is this?
This is the Mijia Smart Purifying Range Hood S2, listed in Chinese as 米家智能净烟机 S2. It is not the separately listed Mijia Smart European Style Range Hood S2. The two names are similar, but they refer to different products; specifications for the European-style model should not be applied to the purifying model. Xiaomi’s store listings identify the variants: Mijia Smart Purifying Range Hood S2 and Mijia Smart European Style Range Hood S2.
What does “3-fold smoke purification” mean?
A December 2023 product report describes three airflow approaches: a four-cyclone vortex, rearward airflow stated as 12 m/s, and a front-mounted BLDC fan intended to form an air curtain. The report calls these patented technologies, but the figures and efficacy are not independently verified here. Treat “three-fold” as Xiaomi’s reported design description, not proof of a measured smoke-capture outcome in a particular kitchen.
Reported features and specifications
| Feature | What product reporting says |
|---|---|
| Smoke sensing | Real-time PM2.5 monitoring and automatic activation above a threshold (Xiaomi for All, 2023) |
| Motor and pressure | DC variable-frequency motor rated up to 2,400 rpm and maximum static pressure of 900 Pa (Xiaomi for All, 2023) |
| Filter and maintenance | Oil-free mesh and an intelligent self-cleaning function for fan maintenance (Xiaomi for All, 2023) |
| Controls | Xiaomi Home app, Xiaoai speaker control, and gesture operation are reported (Xiaomi for All, 2023) |
These are reported product features, not results from independent testing. The cited coverage does not establish noise levels, a standardized airflow measurement, cleaning intervals, or how well the hood performs with different duct layouts.

Price: launch figure versus current Chinese listing
The RMB 2,899 figure was the hood-only China launch price reported in December 2023. The “$404” in the launch-era headline was a conversion associated with that price at the time, not a current exchange-rate conversion. Xiaomi’s official Chinese store displayed RMB 2,499 for the white Mijia Smart Purifying Range Hood S2, alongside RMB 3,299 as a comparison price, when observed on October 8, 2026; the listing can change and does not establish sales or shipping outside China.
A separate December 2023 report gave a suggested retail price of RMB 4,199 and a launch price no higher than RMB 3,699 for an S2 hood-and-cooktop bundle. That was a historical bundle offer, not the hood-only launch price. See IT之家’s bundle report and Xiaomi’s current Chinese listing.

- [DUAL-INTAKE RANGE HOOD, 20% MORE AIRFLOW] This 30 inch wall mount range hood pulls air from both sides to move 20% more air than single-intake models. With 580 CFM of suction, it clears smoke, steam, and grease fast - from searing steaks to stir-fry night - keeping your kitchen air fresh.
- [QUIET 40 dBA VENT HOOD, COOK, TALK, ENTERTAIN FREELY] This quiet range hood runs as low as 40 dBA on low and stays under 65 dBA on high. A noise-dampened motor and streamlined airflow keep your kitchen calm while it works, so family time, phone calls, and your favorite show never get drowned out.
- [DISHWASHER-SAFE BAFFLE FILTERS, SKIP THE GREASE SCRUB] Two removable stainless steel baffle filters trap grease before it coats your cabinets or countertops. Pop them out in seconds - no tools needed - then toss them in the dishwasher or wipe clean. Snap them back and your vent hood is ready to go: clean-up in minutes, not a weekend project.
- [PREMIUM BRUSHED STAINLESS STEEL, DUCTLESS-READY DESIGN] The brushed stainless steel finish resists fingerprints and smudges, and the sleek pyramid silhouette fits both modern and traditional kitchens. Need a ductless range hood? Add the optional carbon filter kit (sold separately) for apartments, condos, or any kitchen without exterior venting.
- [1-9 MIN DELAY SHUT-OFF, AUTO PURGE OF ODORS AND STEAM] Finish cooking and let the hood do the rest. Set the delay shut-off for 1 to 9 minutes and this wall mount range hood keeps running to clear lingering steam and stubborn smells - fish, curry, hot pot - so your kitchen smells fresh again by the time you put the pots away.
Installation and compatibility checks
The product report says a triple-layer exhaust pipe is included, while check valves and extended decorative covers are available as additional items. It does not give exact compatible accessory part numbers or a complete set of installation dimensions. Cabinet configuration and vent-opening dimensions affect fit, so confirm the current manual and compatible parts with Xiaomi or a qualified local installer before ordering.
- Confirm the exact purifying S2 model rather than relying on the overlapping “European Style S2” name.
- Measure the cabinet opening, vent location and duct route, then compare them with the current product manual.
- Ask which check valve, decorative cover and duct parts are compatible, and whether they are included or sold separately.
- Verify local electrical requirements, duct rules, warranty coverage and service availability; the sources reviewed do not establish these for markets outside China.
The reported hood-and-cooktop interconnection applies to specified Mijia cooktops introduced after 2020, according to the bundle report. It describes automatic hood activation while cooking and shutdown three minutes after the cooktop is switched off. That condition should not be taken as universal compatibility with every Xiaomi cooktop.

What to verify before comparing it with another hood
Start with the product variant and installation dimensions. Then compare airflow and pressure only when the measurement basis is the same, and check noise, cleaning requirements, duct and cabinet fit, included accessories, app or voice-control compatibility, price date, warranty and local service. The cited material does not provide a like-for-like independent performance comparison for this model.
The sources reviewed describe a China-market launch and Chinese store listing. They do not establish current international distribution, local warranty or electrical and duct compatibility, or current Amazon availability. A current local retailer listing alone should not be treated as proof that the unit fits a particular kitchen or is supported locally.
