The correct part and safe replacement procedure depend on the dryer’s full model code and whether it is a resistance-heated electric dryer or a heat-pump model. Identify the exact model and check its Samsung manual and repair guide before diagnosing, ordering parts, or opening the appliance.
Find the full model code and the matching repair guide
Record the complete model code from the dryer’s rating label; do not rely on a product-family name or a partial code. Use that exact code on Samsung Support to locate the model’s manual and repair information. Samsung publishes guides for specific models, and available files can differ by model, region, and revision. For example, UK support pages show repair-guide file metadata dated July 7, 2025, and September 8, 2026; those dates describe files on those pages, not a universal revision for Samsung dryers worldwide.
Check that the guide applies to your exact model and market. If you cannot find a matching guide, ask Samsung or an authorized service provider to confirm the correct instructions rather than applying a procedure found for a similar-looking dryer.
Confirm the fault before buying an element
A heating element produces heat in compatible resistance-heated electric dryers, so a failed element is one possible explanation when a dryer tumbles but does not heat. The symptom is not proof: the available model-specific repair references do not establish that every no-heat complaint is caused by the element. Follow the diagnostic guidance for your exact model before ordering a part. Do not replace an element solely because the dryer runs without heat.

Verify compatibility before selecting a replacement
DC47-00019A is identified by a third-party model repair reference as a replacement element for compatible models, including the Samsung DV45H7000EW/A2. That example does not make the part universal across Samsung dryers. Confirm the complete model code and current fit information with Samsung or a parts supplier before purchasing; a partial model match is not enough.

When to proceed—and when to stop
