A 51 mm measurement alone does not guarantee that a bottomless portafilter will fit. Check your espresso machine’s exact model and the portafilter’s lug arrangement before buying. De’Longhi’s Rosewood Bottomless Portafilter DLSC085 is specified for all La Specialista and Dedica Maestro models—not every De’Longhi machine.
How to tell whether a 51 mm portafilter fits
- Find your machine’s exact model number. Check the label on the machine or its documentation; a family name such as Dedica is not specific enough to establish compatibility.
- Match that model to the portafilter’s own compatibility listing. Do not rely on 51 mm diameter by itself.
- Check the lug arrangement. Some De’Longhi 51 mm fittings use two lugs and others use three. A merchant’s fit guide says these arrangements are not interchangeable, so confirm the configuration for your specific machine before ordering.
- Check what is included. Verify whether the portafilter comes with a basket and whether the listing identifies compatible basket types.

These are separate product-code and regional listings; do not assume their model lists or included parts are interchangeable. De’Longhi’s mention of IMS baskets also does not establish that every 51 mm IMS basket fits every 51 mm machine.
What the fit guide says about two-lug and three-lug models
The merchant guide groups these machines as 51 mm three-lug fittings: Dedica EC680, EC685 and Dedica Arte EC885. It groups Stilosa EC260, ECP3420, EC155 and BCO430 as 51 mm two-lug fittings. The guide says the two types are not interchangeable. Since this grouping is merchant guidance, confirm the exact model and fitting with the product seller or the machine’s documentation before purchase.

The cited product listings and fit guide do not provide independent comparative testing of extraction results, durability or value.
