If your Samsung front-load washer is leaking, inspect the door seal folds for trapped hair, thread, or lint before assuming the seal needs replacing. If the rubber is torn or otherwise damaged, Samsung US recommends contacting support to request service. The correct replacement seal depends on your washer’s complete model code and market; there is no universal Samsung gasket part number.
Check whether the door seal is causing the leak
Samsung’s US troubleshooting guidance says to inspect the rubber gasket on front-load models. Carefully fold back the seal and check beneath its folds for foreign material or visible damage. Even a strand of hair or thread can contribute to a leak. Follow Samsung’s Samsung washing machine leak troubleshooting guidance for this initial check.
Water that drips from the door after you open it can be normal. Samsung distinguishes that from water dripping while the door is closed, which counts as a leak.
If you find debris but no damage
Remove foreign material and clean the seal according to the cleaning instructions for your washer and region. Samsung’s cleaning guidance covers inspection and routine cleaning, not a universal seal-replacement procedure. For example, its Hong Kong door-seal cleaning instructions note that models, sequences, and settings can vary by location; consult your product manual if the instructions do not match your washer.

If the seal is torn or damaged
Samsung US directs owners with a damaged door seal to its support center to request service. Cleaning will not repair damaged rubber. Use the washer’s exact model support page to find applicable guidance, or contact Samsung service before proceeding with a repair.
Find the correct replacement seal for your washer
A washer door seal may also be called a door boot seal, gasket, or diaphragm. It is model-specific, so identify the complete model code from the machine label before looking for a replacement. Check the Samsung support page for that exact model and market, and confirm that any model-specific manual or parts lookup identifies the seal as compatible.

- Record the full model code. Use the label on the washer rather than relying on a shortened model name.
- Open the matching regional Samsung support page. Use it to locate the product manual and any repair or service guidance for your exact model. Samsung model pages, such as the WW70T554DAN1FH support page, illustrate where model-specific documentation is listed; that page is not evidence of fit for another washer.
- Verify fit before ordering. Confirm the replacement is listed for the full model code and relevant market. Do not infer compatibility from a seal number shown in a video or repair tutorial.
For example, a third-party tutorial from Frigidaire Appliance Parts covers a particular Samsung front-load configuration and seal, DC64-02805A. AppliancePartsPros also published a video about Samsung seal DC64-00802B on September 22, 2016. These are examples for particular repairs, not proof that either part fits your washer.
Should you replace the seal yourself?
Replacing a door seal is a repair task, and the correct procedure depends on the washer configuration. Samsung’s US leak page recommends service when the seal is damaged; it does not provide a generic DIY replacement sequence. Likewise, cleaning instructions should not be treated as removal-and-installation directions.

Use the manual or service guidance for your exact model to determine whether replacement is appropriate and what procedure applies. Samsung’s regional support pages can list model-specific documents—for instance, its WW11DG5B25AE support page lists a repair guide modified in May 2025—but that listing alone does not establish that the guide covers door-seal replacement. If the correct procedure is not documented for your washer, contact Samsung support or an appropriately qualified appliance technician rather than applying steps from a different model’s tutorial.
