Bosch’s VISIMOW18V range adds camera-based navigation and wire-free setup, but the VISIMOW18V-100 is a semi-automatic mower for lawns up to 100 m²—not a fully unattended machine. Bosch displayed it at £392.75 on its UK site on 4 October 2026. Whether it suits your garden depends on its area and layout, and on whether you are happy to carry the mower back to storage and charge its battery between sessions.
What the Bosch VISIMOW18V range includes
Bosch lists two models in the range: the VISIMOW18V-100 and VISIMOW18V-200. The number in each model name reflects its recommended maximum lawn area, rather than a measured guarantee of performance in every garden.

What its AI navigation does—and does not establish
Bosch describes the mower’s SmartVision system as using a wide-dynamic-range camera and AI grass detection to navigate around obstacles, adapting to changing light. The manufacturer also says the mower can work without installation wires, a charging station or a docking station. Bosch describes a three-button Quick Start taking roughly 25 seconds.

- 🌿 Designed Robot Mowers
- This large robot lawn mower cover is designed for Bosch VISIMOW18V-100 and many similar robotic lawn mowers with charging stations. It helps cover the mower and dock area for outdoor backyard, garden, patio, and lawn storage. Please measure your mower and charging station before purchase.
- ☔ 600D Outdoor Protection
- Made with 600D Oxford fabric, this robotic mower cover helps protect against sun exposure, light rain, dust, leaves, grass clippings, and everyday yard debris. The weather-resistant design is suitable for daily outdoor use, but it should not be submerged or used as a storm-proof cover.
- 📏 Large Size & Measure First
Those are Bosch’s feature descriptions, not independent measurements of navigation accuracy or obstacle avoidance. The mower uses a random cutting pattern, with AutoMow for area coverage and SpotMow for patches of about 2 m². A wire-free setup avoids laying boundary wire, but it should not be confused with a system that maps a garden or returns itself to a dock.
It is semi-automatic, not a dock-and-charge robot
Bosch calls both models semi-automatic. The mower must be carried into storage and its 18V Power For All battery charged between mowing sessions. In practical terms, the no-dock design removes a permanent charging station from the garden, but leaves the owner responsible for moving the machine and managing charging.
That distinction matters if you want a mower that can work and recharge without intervention. The VISIMOW18V may suit someone who prefers a simpler setup and does not mind handling the mower after a session; it is a less natural fit if automatic return, docking and charging are essential requirements.
Check your lawn’s area and layout before choosing
Lawn area and cutting width
Start with the area of grass you intend to mow. Bosch recommends the 100 model for up to 100 m² and the 200 model for up to 200 m². The larger model also has a wider cut—18 cm rather than 16 cm—while both share the same listed 20–60 mm cutting-height range. A wider cutting path is a specification difference, not evidence by itself of a particular time saving.

Slopes and narrow passages
Bosch says the mowers can manage slopes up to 35%. For narrow connected passages, the manufacturer specifies a minimum width of 120 cm and a maximum length of 150 cm. Check the actual route between lawn sections against both limits; a passage that is long enough or wide enough on its own may still fall outside Bosch’s stated dimensions if the other measurement does not fit.
Grass height and lawn edges
Bosch recommends starting with grass no taller than 80 mm and removing no more than 20 mm in a session for best results. It also says the mower leaves an edge about 100–150 mm wide, which may need to be trimmed separately. If a neat finish right up to borders is important, account for that additional edging work.

On 4 October 2026, Bosch’s UK product page displayed prices of £392.75 for the VISIMOW18V-100 and £480.10 for the VISIMOW18V-200. These are time-sensitive UK listings, not fixed or guaranteed prices; check Bosch’s current listing before buying. The available information does not establish a matched Segway model price for a like-for-like comparison.
Bosch or Segway: what can be compared fairly?
Bosch’s range and Segway Navimow’s 2026 announcement describe different approaches to navigation. Bosch presents the VISIMOW18V as a camera-based, wire-free mower with no charging or docking station. Segway’s announcement describes its H2 range’s EFLS LiDAR+ as combining solid-state LiDAR, Network RTK positioning and vision. Those are manufacturer descriptions; they do not establish which system navigates more accurately in a given garden.

It therefore cannot support a claim that Bosch beats Segway, or identify a tested winner. Compare the specific models you are considering on stated lawn capacity, setup and charging requirements, cutting width, navigation approach and current local price.
Quick Recap
Who the VISIMOW18V-100 is best suited to
- Consider it if your lawn is within Bosch’s 100 m² recommendation, you want to avoid installation wires and a permanent docking station, and you are comfortable carrying the mower into storage and charging its battery between sessions.
- Look at the VISIMOW18V-200 instead if your lawn is larger than 100 m² but within Bosch’s 200 m² recommendation; it has the range’s wider 18 cm cut.
- Check the fit carefully if your lawn includes slopes, connected passages, tall grass or edges that require a close finish, using Bosch’s stated limits and recommendations above.
- Consider another type of mower if unattended mowing, automatic docking and charging, or independently verified navigation performance are deciding factors.
