Then check the matching Samsung manual before attempting a model-dependent procedure or ordering a part. Samsung’s U.S. guidance offers useful checks for filling, draining, spinning, and leaks, but washer designs and code meanings vary by model.
Identify your model and the problem
Find the model code on the washer’s product label, then use Samsung’s U.S. washer support page to locate the matching manual, warranty information, or repair options. Samsung also provides a model-specific support page for the WA54CG7550AVA4; it is an example, not a substitute for the manual for your washer.
Write down the exact error code or describe the blinking lights, as well as what the washer was doing when the issue began. Samsung’s error-code guide covers fill, drainage, overflow, door, voltage, suds, and unbalanced-load issues. Treat a code as a clue, not proof that a particular component has failed: Samsung notes, “Samsung has many different makes and models of washers,” and meanings can vary by model.
If the washer will not fill
Begin with the water supply and hose connections rather than assuming an internal part has failed. Samsung’s water-fill guidance supports these checks:

- ✔✔【DIY INSTALLATION】▶Disconnect the power before installing this part. The installation needs to use Phillips head screw driver and channel locks. You can find the repair video on YouTube and follow it to install DC31-00054D Drain Pump, as there were plenty of do it yourself videos on there that helped guide you on the repair. Remove the plastic cover of the pump filter, then remove the 2 screws at the back. Remove the hose from the drain pump assembly and pull it out from the bottom of the washer (be careful not to cut the wire). Easy to install ,just remember which connector plugs in to which terminal
- Confirm the hot and cold hoses connect to their matching inlets.
- Make sure both supply valves are open.
- Look for kinks or damage in the hoses.
- Check the inlet connections for debris, following the manual for your model.
If the washer continues filling without stopping, turn off the water valves and request service. Do not keep running the washer in that condition.
If the washer will not drain or spin
A washer may not reach the spin step if it cannot drain. Samsung’s spin troubleshooting guide recommends checking the drain hose for kinks or damage and confirming its routing and installation against the model’s instructions. Incorrect placement can contribute to siphoning or other drain problems. The error-code guide can also help interpret a drainage code, but a persistent fault needs model-specific diagnosis.

Do not assume a no-spin symptom means the motor has failed. Check whether water remains in the tub, and consider load balance if the washer indicates an unbalanced load. Untangle and redistribute the laundry, then restart the cycle. If the same indication returns after balancing, consult the manual or arrange service.
Use calibration only if your manual specifies it
Calibration steps and button combinations depend on the model. If your washer’s manual provides a calibration procedure, Samsung says to empty the washer first. If the tub still does not spin during the supported calibration, Samsung directs owners to request service. Do not try a button sequence found for a different washer.

Do not apply front-load filter instructions automatically
Samsung’s cited spin guide says pump filters are found on front-load models. A top-load washer may not have the same filter or access procedure. Only follow filter instructions if the documentation for your exact model confirms that the feature is present.
If the washer leaks
First identify where water appears and check for visible hose damage or a loose connection without opening the washer. Samsung’s leak guidance describes draining water, removing and cleaning a pump filter, inspecting the impeller, and reinstalling the filter—but that procedure applies only to designs with that filter. Use it only when your model’s documentation confirms the feature and procedure. If the leak continues after the applicable basic checks, request service.

Pulled off the plastic cover for the PX3516-01 drain pump filter and then the 2 screws behind that. Removed the hoses on the drain pump assembly and pulled it out the bottom of the washer, being careful to not cut the wires (taped the sharp edges of the washer metal). When to stop troubleshooting and request service
Keep troubleshooting to reversible checks that match your model’s documentation. Use Samsung’s repair options or contact a qualified service provider when a fault persists after the recommended checks, when continuous filling occurs, when a latch is damaged, or when the washer still will not spin after the manual’s supported steps.
