Use Manual Dry instead of Sensor Dry
Samsung’s Sensor Dry cycles use metal bars inside the drum, near the lint-filter housing, to detect whether moisture remains in the load. A Manual Dry cycle, by contrast, runs until its selected time runs out. Samsung describes time adjustment as a feature available only on Manual Dry cycles that allow it.

If the dryer stops before clothes are dry
If you are trying to address unusually early stopping rather than choose timed drying, Samsung recommends cleaning the sensor bars. Residue on the bars can affect readings; wipe them with a soft cloth and a drop of dish soap, following the care instructions in your model’s manual. Cleaning is sensor maintenance, not a way to deactivate the sensor.
Samsung’s US troubleshooting guide also notes that Manual Dry cycles can help with mixed loads that stop before heavier items finish: it says, in that context, “Manual Dry cycles don’t have this problem since they dry the clothes until the time runs out.” See Samsung’s troubleshooting guide for clothes not dry after using a Samsung dryer.
Damp Alert does not turn Sensor Dry off
On supported Sensor Dry cycles, Damp Alert signals when the cycle is approximately 80 percent complete. It does not disable the moisture sensor or end the cycle automatically; the cycle continues unless you pause it. Availability and icon appearance can vary by model.
