Find the exact oven model number and follow its user manual for door removal, glass-pane sequence, orientation and reinstallation. Do not apply one model’s illustrated steps to another. In many cases, you can clean between panes without removing the glass.
Before you remove any glass
Look up the oven’s exact model number and open its user manual. Samsung’s general guidance says to remove the door using the instructions in that manual, and its regional instructions caution that door and pane sequences vary by product and location. Samsung New Zealand notes that some doors have three or four glass sheets; that is an example of variation, not a universal count.
Plan for safe handling: Samsung warns that the door is heavy. If you do remove it, use a stable, protected work surface and get help if needed. Do not proceed if you cannot handle the door safely or the manual does not clearly cover your model.
Samsung also warns that damage caused by taking the door apart may not be covered by any remaining warranty. That is not the same as saying all warranty coverage is automatically void. Check the applicable warranty terms if coverage matters to you.

Clean between panes without taking the glass apart
Samsung’s US and Canada guidance describes cleaning through gaps and grooves at the bottom of the door; Flex Duo doors also have upper gaps for the other half. Follow your model’s manual and support instructions for access points. Samsung suggests using a long, thin, preferably flexible item wrapped in a cleaning cloth, secured so it cannot come loose, or an oven cleaning tool.
- Allow the oven and door to cool completely before cleaning.
- Wrap a suitable long, thin flexible aid in a cleaning cloth and secure the cloth firmly, or use an oven cleaning tool. Do not use the tool to pry apart the door or remove glass.
- Apply a baking soda and water paste or oven cleaner as appropriate for your model and the product label. Work gently through the access gap without forcing the aid or scratching the glass.
- Wipe away cleaner residue and dry the area. Do not leave moisture or cleaning material between the panes.
Samsung’s instructions identify a cleaning tool as optional help; it is not a glass-removal tool and is not stated to fit every oven door.

If the manual says to remove the panes
Follow the exact instructions for your model, including the specified sequence, support clips, markings and orientation cues. Samsung’s NV7000B built-in oven manual, for example, specifies removing covers and screws and reinstalling sheets in a particular order and orientation, with model-specific support clips and a “PYRO” mark. Those details illustrate why the manual matters; they should not be copied for a different oven.
- Confirm the manual matches the oven’s complete model number and market.
- Use the manual’s specified method to remove the door, then place it securely on a protected, stable surface.
- Remove only the parts and panes in the stated order. Keep track of each pane’s position and orientation as the manual directs.
- Clean using the method allowed by that manual. The NV7000B manual excerpt specifies soapy water and a clean cloth for its model.
- Reinstall every pane and component in the stated order and orientation, then refit the door by reversing the manual’s removal steps.
If any instruction, marking or pane position is unclear, stop rather than guess. A pane installed in the wrong position or orientation may not be safe.

When to contact Samsung or a qualified service provider
If your manual does not explain the procedure, you cannot safely handle the door, or you are uncertain about the pane order, contact Samsung support or a qualified appliance service provider. Samsung directs customers who cannot clean between panes themselves to support for out-of-warranty service. Ask about warranty implications before authorizing disassembly.
If a pane is cracked or needs replacement, identify the oven’s exact model and the pane’s position before ordering anything. The title “Samsung oven glass” alone is not enough to establish compatibility.
