The Construction-Grade Dump Truck Woodworking Plan is for a tabletop wooden toy truck with a lifting dump bed, swinging tailgate, and a support that holds the bed up. WOOD Magazine featured it in Issue 215 (November 2012). The publisher lists the finished truck at 6 inches high × 6 inches wide × 14 5/8 inches long.
What the plan builds
WOOD Magazine describes the truck as a tabletop model for hauling gravel, sand, dirt, or debris. Its dump box lifts, the tailgate swings open, and a drop-down support holds the raised box in place. The support can also prop the box up for display. It belongs to a series of wooden construction vehicle models.
The plan was featured in WOOD Issue 215, November 2012. The current plan page was updated January 9, 2024.
Finished dimensions
WOOD Magazine and WOOD Store list the finished dimensions as 6 inches high × 6 inches wide × 14 5/8 inches long. WoodworkersWorkshop lists 5.875 inches high × 6.25 inches wide × 14.625 inches long. The listed lengths agree, but the distributor’s width is a quarter inch greater; the sources do not explain the difference. If fit or display space matters, use the publisher/store dimensions as the primary reference and account for the discrepancy.

Plan formats and project kit
WOOD Store lists the plan under product code GR-00947 and offers a selectable format. WoodworkersWorkshop lists paper and downloadable PDF versions. Its #31-series PDF listing says the plan includes building instructions, finishing guidelines, and scaled templates printable on letter-size paper.
WOOD Store also lists a separate Construction-Grade Dump Truck Project Kit. The kit description says it contains specialty parts and hardware for one truck, but not lumber. The plan and kit are sold separately.

WoodworkersWorkshop names a table saw, band saw, and other common workshop tools. The product pages reviewed do not provide a complete bill of materials, cut list, detailed assembly sequence, or safety guidance. Do not treat the brief tool listing as a complete preparation checklist; consult the selected plan for the full requirements and instructions before starting.
