Its pre-assembled frame, wraparound mesh ventilation and removable canvas panels make it suited to short stays where portability matters. The main trade-off for glamping use is important: CanvasCamp says the Compact Series is not compatible with a wood-burning stove.
What kind of tent is the Mouflon?
CanvasCamp identifies the Mouflon as model MFL. Its distinguishing design pairs an unfolding frame with canvas that unzips to reveal mesh around the tent. The flysheet can also be used as a shade tarp or outer shell, according to the manufacturer. That makes the tent adaptable for ventilation and shade, but its modest floor area and 130 cm listed height make it a compact shelter rather than a space for standing comfortably inside.

How setup and ventilation work
Unfolding frame
CanvasCamp describes the frame as pre-assembled: unfold it and lock it into position. The company advertises setup in about one minute; that is a manufacturer claim, not an independently timed result. The listed package includes the tent, pegs and poles, with the product description also identifying an aluminium frame, two coated steel awning poles, guy ropes, forged steel pegs and storage bags. Check the regional listing for the included items before ordering.
#1 Best Overall
- 🏕️ 200GSM POLY-COTTON CANVAS – BREATHABLE, WATERPROOF & UV-RESISTANT: Premium 200GSM poly-cotton canvas breathes naturally to prevent condensation, resists UV degradation, and carries nano-tech waterproof treatment for all-weather protection. Gets better with age — unlike polyester tents that degrade over time.
- 🔥 STOVE JACK INCLUDED – 4-SEASON CAMPING READY: Built-in stove jack allows you to run a wood-burning stove through the tent wall for genuine winter warmth. Seal when not in use for three-season camping. The breathable canvas and stove combination creates comfort no synthetic tent can match.
- 🛡️ SEWN-IN GROUNDSHEET + MESH WINDOWS + ROOF VENT – COMPLETE PROTECTION: Removable sewn-in groundsheet seals against moisture, insects, and cold ground air. Mesh windows and roof vent promote cross-ventilation on warm days. Unzip the groundsheet for an open canopy or remove entirely for ground-contact camping.
- ⚙️ GALVANIZED STEEL POLES – STABLE IN ALL CONDITIONS: Corrosion-resistant galvanized steel frame provides structural rigidity for wind stability. Heavy-duty stakes and full guy line system included. Setup approximately 15 minutes with included tool kit and 2 people.
- 📦 COMPLETE KIT IN WEATHERPROOF CARRY BAG – EVERYTHING INCLUDED: Canvas tent, sewn-in groundsheet, stove jack, mesh windows, roof vent, galvanized steel poles, tool kit, heavy-duty stakes, guy lines, and weatherproof carry bag all included. Fits 2-4 people. Compact 13×11×11in packed size.
Canvas, mesh and flysheet
Unzipping the canvas exposes mesh around the tent, allowing airflow while helping keep insects out. The flysheet can serve as a shade tarp or outer shell. CanvasCamp describes the fabric treatment as intended to repel water and resist UV fading, mould and rot while remaining breathable; the listings do not establish how the tent performs after extended use.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Rain protection and groundsheet
The tent has a tub-shaped PVC rip-stop groundsheet that CanvasCamp describes as waterproof. The manufacturer lists a 310 mm water column for the coated canvas and more than 3000 cm for the groundsheet. Treat those values as the company’s published specifications: they do not, by themselves, establish performance in particular weather or replace sound pitching, guying and site selection.
Who is it suitable for?
The Mouflon makes the most sense for campers who value a quick-deploy frame and flexible ventilation, and who can work within a small floor area. Although CanvasCamp lists capacity for three, the 4 m² Canadian-listed footprint is a tight space to share; sleeping mats and personal gear will need to fit within that area. Measure intended bedding before buying, since the published floor dimensions—not the capacity label—are the useful check for layout.
It is a poor match if you need standing headroom or want a tent designed for a wood-burning stove. CanvasCamp explicitly says its Compact Series is not compatible with a wood-burning stove because the interior is too compact for safe and comfortable use. Do not use an indoor stove or open flame in the tent.

What to check before purchasing
- Confirm the measurements and included accessories on the listing for your country; regional pages use different units and may have different terms.
- Compare the stated floor area, height, capacity and packed weight with your sleeping setup and transport limits.
- Review current price, availability, shipping estimate, warranty and return terms on the applicable regional product page; these can change.
- Do not infer stove compatibility from the word “glamping.” CanvasCamp rules out a wood-burning stove for this Compact Series tent.
At the time the US listing was checked in 2026, it showed $499, “In Stock,” and shipping in 1–3 business days. Those were time-sensitive US listing details, not a guaranteed current price or delivery estimate. CanvasCamp’s US listing also states a 60-day return policy and limited lifetime warranty; read the current regional terms for conditions and coverage.
