Best Food Processor and Juicer Combos: How to Choose the Right Setup

A food processor-and-juicer combo may be one appliance with an extractor attachment or a set of separate machines. Compare the exact bundle, juicing method, usable capacity, cleanup, and local warranty before buying.

There is no single food processor-and-juicer setup that suits every kitchen. If you want both functions on one motor base, the Magimix 5200XL with Juice Extractor is a documented example; if you want simultaneous use or a juicer that is not offered in a compatible local bundle, compare separate appliances. The right choice depends on the exact included attachments, the kind of juice you make, usable capacity, cleanup, storage, and regional warranty—not wattage alone.

What does “food processor and juicer combo” mean?

The phrase can describe different arrangements, so check how many motor bases are involved and whether the juicing parts are actually included.

  • One processor with a juicer attachment: A single motor base drives the food processor and an extractor kit. Magimix Australia’s 5200XL Mirror Chrome + Juice Extractor is one example. See the Australian product listing.
  • A processor with a citrus press or juicer attachment: Bosch UK lists citrus presses and juicers in its food-processor attachment guide. That does not establish that every model or package includes them; confirm compatibility and box contents for the exact model. See Bosch’s UK food processor range.
  • A multi-appliance set or product range: A food processor and a separate juicer may be sold as distinct appliances. Panasonic’s catalogue illustrates this arrangement; check whether a listing is a bundle or simply a range of separate products. See Panasonic Australia’s food-preparation catalogue.

These configurations are not interchangeable. A single-base attachment system may reduce the number of appliances, while separate devices can be used at the same time. Neither arrangement is automatically the better performer.

Decide what you will actually make

Food processors commonly handle chopping, slicing, shredding, and pureeing; some also knead dough. Juicing is a separate job, and the right attachment depends on the produce you use.

For occasional citrus

For non-citrus juice

Consumer NZ distinguishes citrus presses from centrifugal juicer attachments for other fruit and vegetables. Its guide describes centrifugal extraction as quick, with frothier juice. Those are general descriptions, not a controlled comparison of specific combo products. Read Consumer NZ’s food processor buying guide.

Attachment designs can also target different ingredients. Treat these as the manufacturer’s intended uses, not independent evidence of yield or nutritional quality.

Compare capacity, accessories, and motor specifications

Look beyond the bowl’s headline volume

Consumer NZ’s guide, updated in August 2026, says most food processor bowls hold 1.5–4 litres of solid food and that maximum liquid capacity is usually lower. Magimix Australia lists the 5200XL’s total bowl size as 3.6 litres and its usable capacity as 1.8 litres. These figures show why it is worth comparing usable quantity with your usual batch size rather than relying on the largest number on a product page.

Check the exact accessory set

Confirm that the box includes the blades or discs needed for your processor jobs and the juicing attachment you intend to use. For an accessory sold separately, verify the exact model compatibility and the additional cost in your market. Category pages and broad product-family descriptions do not prove that a particular regional package contains every listed attachment.

Use wattage as one specification, not a verdict

Cuisinart describes food processor motors in a 250–1,300 W range and suggests at least 550 W for hard ingredients or dense dough. Bosch lists examples ranging from 700/800 W to up to 1,250 W. These are manufacturer specifications and guidance, not comparable performance tests. Consider motor power alongside blade design, capacity, controls, and the tasks you plan to do. Read Cuisinart’s food processor buying guide.

What the Magimix 5200XL example includes

Magimix Australia describes its 5200XL Mirror Chrome + Juice Extractor as an 8-in-1 food processor with an extractor kit. The manufacturer lists slicing, grating, whisking, kneading, blending, chopping, citrus pressing, and juicing. Its Australian product page gives reference 85520AU, a 3.6 L total bowl, 1.8 L usable capacity, 1100 W, a weight of 11.0 kg, a 30-year motor warranty, and a 3-year spare-parts warranty. It also says removable parts are dishwasher safe and describes three nested bowls. These are regional manufacturer specifications and claims, not independent test results or universal warranty terms.

The product description says, “Transform your food processor into a powerful juicer with the included Juice Extractor:” The detailed specifications above are for the Australian listing. Magimix’s UK range page separately says the 5200XL Premium includes a Juice Extractor kit and lists a 3.6 L bowl and 1100 W. Bundle names and included parts can differ by region; confirm the local model, box contents, and warranty before buying. See Magimix UK’s food processor range.

When a separate juicer makes more sense

Compare separate appliances if you want to run the processor and juicer at the same time, regularly juice and do not want to assemble an attachment, or cannot find a suitable compatible bundle in your country. A separate setup also lets you choose each appliance for its own functions, but it may take more counter and cupboard space. There is no independent comparison here establishing that separate machines produce better juice or offer better value.

For another processor family to investigate, Bosch UK lists the MultiTalent 8 with a 3.9 L bowl, 1.5 kg dough capacity, and up to 1,250 W, and the MultiTalent 3 with a 2.31 L bowl, 0.8 kg dough capacity, and 700/800 W. Bosch’s attachment guide lists citrus press and juicer options, but check whether the specific model supports the desired attachment and whether it is included or sold separately.

Check cleanup, storage, and local ownership details

  • Cleaning: A juicer assembly adds parts to rinse, clean, and store. Consumer NZ notes that dishwasher-safe bowls and attachments can make cleaning easier. Check the manual for dishwasher guidance on every part of the exact model.
  • Storage and footprint: Measure available counter and cupboard space, including room for the motor base, bowls, discs, and juicer parts. Check whether the package includes storage for attachments rather than assuming it does.
  • Noise and practical use: Consider when and where you will use the appliance, and check for model-specific information relevant to your kitchen; the cited specifications do not establish comparative noise levels.
  • Warranty and replacement parts: Verify local warranty terms and whether replacement parts are available in your market. Do not transfer a warranty or bundle specification from an Australian or UK listing to another country.
  • Price and availability: Compare current local prices for the complete package, including any separately sold attachment. Regional listings do not establish a single worldwide price or bundle.

A practical way to choose

  1. List your regular jobs. Separate processor tasks from juicing, and note whether you mostly press citrus or make juice from other produce.
  2. Choose the arrangement. Look for an integrated attachment if you want one motor base and will use both functions. Compare separate machines if simultaneous use or a dedicated juicer matters more.
  3. Verify the exact package. Match the model number and regional listing to the included blades, discs, bowls, and juicing parts. Confirm compatibility for any separately purchased attachment.
  4. Match capacity to your batches. Compare usable bowl capacity and any stated liquid limit with what you prepare, rather than judging by total bowl volume alone.
  5. Assess the daily burden. Check cleaning instructions, storage, footprint, noise information, replacement-part access, and local warranty.
  6. Compare the complete local cost. Include required accessories and compare like-for-like packages; do not treat motor wattage as a quality ranking.

Consumer NZ’s buying guide states it covered 18 new and 14 discontinued models in its 2026 guide, updated in August. That coverage is useful context for shopping, but it does not establish a winner among current processor-and-juicer combinations.
