Those are manufacturer descriptions, not independent proof of which appliance makes the best crust. Choose based on the rice you want to make
Persian-style rice commonly involves a crisp bottom crust, tahdig, as well as separate, tender grains. A dedicated Persian cooker is designed and marketed around that crust-focused use. A general-purpose cooker instead emphasizes programs for different grains or textures. The best fit depends on which capability matters most to you; the available manufacturer information does not support an independent performance ranking.
Dedicated Persian cookers: prioritize tahdig control
Pars says its automatic Persian rice cooker has a customizable timer so cooks can adjust the crust to their preference. It also lists automatic shutoff and keep-warm. Sadaf describes its automatic cooker as suitable for Persian tahdig and other Persian dishes. Neither product page establishes a tested comparison of crust quality, so treat these as relevant features and maker claims rather than a guarantee of results.
General-purpose cookers: prioritize menu options
Zojirushi’s catalog lists MICOM models with long- and short-grain, premium, congee, mixed and quick-cooking options. Its IH+MICOM family lists regular, softer and harder white-rice settings. These menus may suit households cooking several rice styles, but the cited catalog does not establish equivalent tahdig results or make these dedicated Persian cookers.

Match capacity to your household and batches
Pars offers a wider listed range, from 3 to 25 cups, while Sadaf lists 4-, 10- and 15-cup versions. Zojirushi’s cited catalog includes models listed at 5.5 and 10 cups. These figures are not automatically comparable: manufacturers may define a rice-cooker cup differently, and a stated cup capacity is not the same as servings of cooked rice.

- Check the maker’s cup definition and whether the capacity refers to uncooked rice.
- Choose for your usual batch rather than the largest occasion; confirm whether your chosen model cooks the smaller quantities you need.
- For Sadaf’s 4-cup model, the maker describes the size as suitable for 1–2 servings. Treat that as its guidance, not a general serving conversion.
Check voltage before buying
Electrical compatibility can rule out an otherwise suitable cooker. Pars lists 110V operation, Sadaf specifies 110–120V AC/60Hz, and the cited Zojirushi models are listed at 220–230V. Do not assume that a product sold in one market will work safely or correctly in another, or that a plug adapter changes voltage. Verify the exact model’s voltage and frequency against your household supply and confirm local availability before purchase.
Inspect the pot, cleaning instructions and accessories
Pars and Sadaf describe removable nonstick pots. Sadaf also lists a scoop, measuring cup and detachable cord; Pars lists measuring lines, a removable cord and an instructional booklet. These details can make setup and serving easier, but do not substitute for checking the manual for cleaning limits, replacement-part availability and compatibility.

Care instructions are model-specific. For the Tefal RK7405TH, the manufacturer says its removable nonstick bowl is dishwasher-safe and suggests wiping the inner surface with a little oil after repeated dishwasher washing. Do not apply that advice to another cooker unless its own manual permits it; coatings and care requirements vary.
Use water guidance as a starting point, not a universal ratio
Rice variety, rinsing, soaking and the cooker program all affect the amount of water and cooking time. Tefal’s RK7405TH guidance gives one measuring cup of white rice to one and a half measuring cups of water as a guide, while noting that rice types call for different amounts and times. That is a model-specific starting point, not a rule for Persian rice or every cooker. Follow the selected appliance’s manual and adjust for the rice you use.

- Spread rice evenly over the bowl surface and do not exceed that model’s marked 10-cup line.
- Tefal says soaking washed rice for about 20 minutes may help address sticking.
- Empty the condensation collector after use.
- If steam leaks, stop the cooker, unplug it, and check the lid, valve and gasket fit as its instructions direct.
- Do not use the appliance with a damaged power cord; Tefal says to have it replaced by an approved repair center.
A practical buying checklist
- Decide whether crust control or menu flexibility matters more. For tahdig-focused cooking, compare dedicated models’ timer and crust-related controls; for varied rice dishes, compare the general-purpose menus you will actually use.
- Choose a batch size. Check the manufacturer’s cup definition, the smallest practical batch and the capacities offered for the exact model.
- Confirm electrical fit. Match voltage and frequency to your location and verify regional availability.
- Review pot and care details. Check whether the inner pot is removable, how it must be cleaned, and what accessories are included.
- Read the model manual before cooking. Use its measuring lines, water guidance, operating instructions and troubleshooting steps rather than transferring another model’s settings.
