Pierce and Keely Brosnan’s Malibu estate, known as Orchid House, was presented in a 2020 Architectural Digest tour as a Thai-inspired, oceanfront home with carved doors, teak floors, open living spaces and extensive leisure amenities. The $100 million figure was its reported asking price in 2020—not a confirmed sale price or a current valuation.
Orchid House at a glance
Real-estate agent Chris Cortazzo described Orchid House as a one-acre property on Broad Beach, with about 117 feet of beach frontage and a main house of approximately 12,500 square feet. His 2020 Architectural Digest tour also described four bedrooms in the main house, an outdoor guest house and three kitchens. These are figures presented during the tour, not independently verified current measurements.
The design is Thai-inspired, with the tour crediting architects Ross and Ralph Anderson. Its central idea is a close connection between the house and the Pacific: living spaces, the kitchen and the primary bedroom all make the ocean part of the view and daily setting.
How the home’s design comes together
Carved entry and open living spaces
The entrance is marked by hand-carved doors inspired by Thailand. Inside, the living and dining areas share an open floor plan, with Brazilian teak floors. Cortazzo characterized the interior as a blend of French style and casual Asian influences—a description of the home’s aesthetic, rather than a formal architectural classification.

Kitchen and ocean-facing breakfast area
The tour shows a kitchen with teak cabinetry and crystal-quartz countertops, opening toward a breakfast area oriented to the ocean. Together, these spaces extend the home’s open-plan arrangement beyond the formal living and dining rooms.
Primary bedroom and bathrooms
The primary bedroom is described with scissor-truss ceilings, multiple fireplaces and a balcony facing the Pacific. Teak and onyx details appear in the bathrooms, carrying the material palette into the more private rooms.

- Wellness spaces: a gym and a spa with a sauna, steam room, and hot and cold plunge pools.

- Guest accommodation: a separate guest house, in addition to the main residence.
The tour’s descriptions provide a snapshot of how the property was presented in 2020; they do not establish the home’s present condition or confirm that every feature remains unchanged.

What the $100 million figure means
Architectural Digest and the Los Angeles Times reported in September 2020 that the property was listed for $100 million. That is a historical asking price, not evidence Orchid House sold for that amount. The available sources do not establish a completed sale, a current listing price or a present-day valuation.

A September 2026 report said the Brosnans intended to leave the property after wildfire close calls, earthquake concerns and financial pressure. The report quoted Pierce Brosnan discussing the decision, but it does not establish that a sale was completed or specify a final move date. The reported intention to leave is distinct from the 2020 listing history.
