Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu reportedly asked officials and contracting agencies to accelerate construction in Amaravati, setting a target of ₹2,000 crore in work execution each month. The report said ₹1,345 crore worth of work was executed in the previous month.
What Naidu reportedly directed
At a review meeting with officials and representatives of contracting agencies at his Camp Office on Tuesday, 6 October 2026, Naidu called for faster execution, stronger planning and better coordination. The reported monthly target is a value of work executed, not a stated project budget or payment figure. The numbers and directions below are reported by National Revealed; they have not been independently confirmed in project accounts.
Reported progress and workforce scale
The report put the previous month’s executed work value at ₹1,345 crore, compared with the ₹2,000-crore monthly target Naidu reportedly set. It attributed to Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister P. Narayana the figures of 152 projects taken up in the capital region and around 41,000 workers engaged. The report did not provide project-by-project schedules, budgets, or workforce records.

Naidu reportedly called for speeding up the Outer Ring Road and coordinating with the Central government to move the work forward.

The review also covered the Secretariat towers and Assembly building. Naidu reportedly stressed timely completion and quality execution, and called for the buildings’ designs to have an iconic character.

Naidu reportedly raised the need for modern skills training for construction personnel, using the National Academy of Construction as a model. The report did not specify a training programme, schedule, or number of workers to be trained.
