System One announced on October 5, 2026, that it acquired Aucoin Telecom & Utility Construction, LLC. System One says Aucoin will work closely with Mountain Ltd., its telecommunications engineering services division, to offer customers services spanning engineering through construction. Aucoin founder Joe Aucoin will remain president; the deal terms were not disclosed.
What System One’s acquisition announcement says
System One describes Aucoin as a regional infrastructure services provider serving energy and telecommunications markets. The announced rationale is to pair Mountain’s engineering capabilities with Aucoin’s construction and field services in a broader, turnkey offering. That is the companies’ stated positioning; the announcement does not report post-acquisition results or set out a detailed integration plan.

The announcement says the companies will work closely together to extend delivery from engineering through construction, but does not specify how projects, teams, or customer accounts will be integrated.
Leadership and deal terms
Founder Joe Aucoin will remain president of Aucoin. Mountain president April Metivier described construction capability as increasingly essential for telecom engineering firms and said the acquisition would give Mountain a “true full-service, turnkey solution.” Aucoin said joining System One would expand the services it can offer while preserving the reliability and accountability customers expect. Both comments are statements by company executives in the acquisition announcement, not independent assessments of market conditions or future performance.
