To assemble Dummy 13, follow an illustrated guide in order, fitting the figure’s snap joints with steady pressure and checking each joint’s movement before adding the next part. The 26-step sequence covers the torso and head, upper legs, feet and ankles, arms, then hands and finishing pieces. Self-printed loose parts need cleanup before assembly; runner-based kits need their pieces separated first.
Find instructions that match your Dummy 13 parts
North Pole 3D Printing’s Dummy 13 Assembly Guide presents an illustrated five-page sequence and links to a walkthrough labeled as the official guide by Lucky 13 Toys. Joshua Makes’ Dummy 13 Assembly Instructions also provides instruction images and a PDF guide link.
Check the model version and any remix details before you begin. A search-indexed transcription of the Dummy 13 v1.0 listing describes it as a revised version dated September 13, 2024, but that version information comes from a secondary Scribd transcription rather than a directly opened creator page. Instructions for v1.0 may not match an older beta or a modified model. The transcription is available at Scribd.
Prepare the parts before fitting joints
For self-printed or loose parts
- Lay out the pieces and separate inner-frame parts from outer armor so you can identify and match them more easily.
- Trim leftover brim and strings from the prints. Clean edges help snap-fit joints seat properly.
- Compare each part’s shape and orientation with the guide before pressing it into place.
For a kit supplied on runners
Separate the pieces from their runners before assembly. The Rabchilla Creations Core Series kit listing describes one 1/13-scale product variant that ships on runners and recommends flush cutters or a hobby knife for clean removal. Those tools are optional conveniences for that starting condition, not requirements for loose or self-printed parts. Check the specific kit listing for its contents and scale.

How to assemble Dummy 13 in order
The illustrated guide groups its 26 steps into five sections. Work through them in sequence rather than fitting armor before the underlying frame is assembled.
- Torso and head (steps 1–7): Assemble the torso and head components shown in the guide, checking orientation before seating each joint.
- Upper legs (steps 8–12): Fit the upper-leg parts to the frame, supporting the pieces close to each joint as you press.
- Feet and ankles (steps 13–16): Assemble the feet and ankles in the illustrated orientation, then gently check their movement.
- Arms (steps 17–22): Fit the arm components in order, comparing each side with the guide before joining parts.
- Hands and finish (steps 23–26): Attach the hands and complete the remaining finishing steps shown in the guide.
At each step, support both pieces close to the joint and apply firm, steady pressure. Avoid twisting while pressing. After completing a section, move the joint gently through a small range before adding the next armor piece. The guide describes ordinary assembly as snap-fit and says it does not require glue, screws, or extra hardware.

What to do if a joint is too tight
Do not use a hammer or force a joint at an angle. Recheck the orientation against the instructions and make sure print residue is not obstructing the contact area. The guide recommends lightly filing or sanding that area, removing the resulting dust, then trying again while supporting the pieces near the joint.
The guide also notes that the flattened area on a ball joint is intentional and supports printing without supports; it says the flat does not prevent normal posing. These fit recommendations and the statement about the joint come from the guide publisher, not from independent testing.

Check kit and model differences
Dummy 13 builds can start with loose printed parts or pieces still attached to runners, and kits may differ in scale and included accessories. The material available here does not establish compatibility across every remix or seller. Use the instructions supplied with your specific model where possible, and compare its version, scale, part presentation, and accessories before applying a guide intended for a different variant.
Joshua Makes attributes the printable figure to Lucky 13 Toys under CC BY 4.0 and links to the model on Printables.
