The YETI Roadie 32 is a capable wheeled cooler for day trips, tailgates and road travel, but its wheels solve only part of the carrying problem. It weighs 24.50 lb empty, takes up a defined footprint in a vehicle, and still has to be lifted over steps or into a trunk. Its strongest case is for buyers who can roll it most of the way and have measured space for its shape.
What you get—and what the numbers mean
YETI lists the Roadie 32’s empty weight as 24.50 lb. Its exterior measures 21.3 × 16.1 × 18.3 inches; the interior measures 15.7 × 8.6 × 13.5 inches. Those interior dimensions matter as much as the headline capacity: a long or bulky item may not fit even when the cooler’s quart rating sounds sufficient. Check the planned load’s shape and your vehicle’s cargo opening against the manufacturer’s specifications.

T3 describes it as a 32-quart cooler that can hold up to 50 cans or more than 30 lb of ice. Those are the review’s capacity figures, not a promise that every combination of cans, ice and food will fit. Packing layout and the space taken by cooling material affect usable room. T3’s review also reports the model launched in April 2024.
Rolling is easy; lifting is still part of the job
The wheels and extending handle make the Roadie 32 useful when the route is mostly level and the cooler can be rolled close to where it is needed. In Tom’s Guide’s test, the tester found the wheels stable and the handle smooth to extend and retract. The same account notes a practical drawback: there are no carry handles for lifting it over steps. That matters at stairs, vehicle sills and other points where rolling stops being an option. A full cooler will weigh more than its listed empty weight.

Tom’s Guide reports that its 32-quart Roadie kept contents ice-cold for over three days in that publication’s testing. Treat this as a result under its test conditions, not a guaranteed duration for every trip: results can depend on the starting temperature of the contents, ice load, ambient conditions and how often the lid is opened. Measure your vehicle before buying
YETI says the Roadie 32 is designed to fit many mid-to-full-size sedan trunks, hatchbacks, small SUVs and under most truck tonneau covers. “Many” and “most” are not a fit guarantee for an individual vehicle. Compare the exterior dimensions with both the available cargo area and the narrowest opening the cooler must pass through; also allow for its shape and the room needed to position it.
In a vehicle, the cooler’s 21.3 × 16.1-inch footprint and 18.3-inch height may be more useful planning figures than its 32-quart capacity. If you cannot roll it all the way to the cargo space, account for the lift as well as the fit.

Leak resistance, dry ice and care
YETI describes the Roadie 32 as leak-resistant, not completely leakproof. If you need a container that can be relied on to prevent all liquid from escaping, that distinction is important. YETI also says the cooler is compatible with dry ice and explains that pressure must be released for dry-ice use; follow the current manufacturer guidance rather than sealing it as if it were an ordinary ice load.

For cleaning, YETI’s product information recommends soap and warm water. The manufacturer lists a five-year warranty. Review the Roadie 32 product page for current warranty terms and care instructions.

One Dry Goods Basket is included, and YETI says the cooler can accommodate two. The Roadie Wheeled Cooler Divider, Roadie Wheeled Cooler Cup Caddy and YETI Ice Block are listed as separate accessories. Confirm model compatibility and current availability with YETI before ordering. The company also says replacement parts are available through its outfitter team, but does not enumerate every part or publish prices on the product information cited here.

Price context and who should buy it
T3 reported recommended launch prices of $375 in the US, £350 in the UK and A$500 in Australia for the model’s April 2024 launch. These are historical launch figures, not current prices. Check the price in your market before deciding whether the rolling format and build suit your budget.
The Roadie 32 makes the most sense for someone who will roll it regularly, values a compact hard cooler with wheels, and can manage occasional lifting. It is a less natural fit if you must carry a heavy load up stairs, have a tight vehicle opening, or require a fully leakproof container. Weigh the convenience of moving it against its 24.50 lb empty weight and the dimensions of both the cooler and the items you plan to pack.
