IndexBox forecasts global cement-based grouts to grow 4–6% annually from 2026 through 2035, with its market index reaching about 155 by 2035 (2025 = 100). That is a publisher forecast, not a verified outcome: the indexed material does not provide enough underlying data or methodology to reproduce it independently. Construction of data centers and semiconductor fabs offers a plausible source of demand for precision grout, but available sources do not quantify how much those projects buy.
How big is the cement-based grouts market forecast to be?
IndexBox’s 2026 forecast page estimates a global compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 4–6% for cement-based grouts from 2026 through 2035. It gives a baseline CAGR of 5.0% and a market index of roughly 155 in 2035, with 2025 set to 100. The index expresses projected relative growth, not a dollar market size. IndexBox does not expose enough of its underlying model in the indexed material for readers to independently recalculate the projection. IndexBox’s cement-based grouts forecast.
Why another forecast gives different numbers
Market Research Future reports a broader “cementitious grout” market of USD 12.02 billion in 2025 and USD 16.83 billion in 2035, with a 3.42% CAGR. Its report was last updated April 6, 2026. The differing growth rates and dollar figures should not be treated as direct contradictions: the reports’ product definitions, geographic coverage and market-sizing methods are not shown to be aligned. Do not combine the IndexBox index with Market Research Future’s dollar estimates as if they described the same measured market. Market Research Future’s cementitious grout market report.
What is cement-based grout used for?
In construction, cement-based precision grout fills the space beneath or around equipment supports, base plates and anchorages, transferring load to a foundation. Manufacturer materials describe non-shrink formulations intended for machinery foundations and plates, with placement by pouring or pumping depending on the product.

#1 Best Overall
- Concrete patch filler seals cracks and holes in exterior or interior concrete and masonry surfaces
- Concrete sealer is ready to use – needs no mixing or additives making projects easy
- Flexible adhesive is low in odor, cleans up easy with water and provides a 24 hour return to service time
- Provides a durable, long-lasting concrete crack repair that resists gasoline, salt, grease or oil when cured
- Versatile concrete patch and repair may be painted with latex or oil-based paints
For example, Sika describes its US SikaGrout-928 as a hydraulic cement-based, mineral-aggregate non-shrink precision grout for machines and plates. Its stated placement methods include pouring and pumping; the product page lists ASTM C1107 and US Army Corps of Engineers CRD C621 requirements for specified consistencies and working time. These are product-document claims, not an independent performance assessment. SikaGrout-928 US product page.
Sika’s GCC-region SikaGrout-114 AE page describes a free-flowing cementitious non-shrink precision grout for machine foundations and base plates, lists 25 kg and 40 kg bags, and states ASTM C1107 compliance. Those details apply to the cited GCC product page; they do not establish availability or approvals in other regions. SikaGrout-114 AE GCC product page.

- FOR EASY REPAIRS — It's the ideal concrete patch repair mix, neatly fixing cracks and spalls so your property looks like new. It's even textured for a more seamless blend with the existing structure
- TOUGH AND DURABLE — Formulated to avoid shrinking or cracking, the ready-to-use premixed cement patch offers good adhesion and high strength so your slabs, walls & walkways/sidewalks perform as good as ever
- EASY CLEANUP — Sika concrete patch is acrylic-based, so once application is done, it cleans up using only water. No need for special cleaners and chemicals
- GREEN — It follows regulations concerning the use of volatile organic compounds (VOC), helping to keep the air we breathe cleaner and fresher
- A BREEZE TO USE — Minimal prep is required, since it comes premixed. Just use a putty or trowel to spread where repairs are needed. It takes only a few hours to set and about a day for a full cure
Will semiconductor fabs and data centers increase grout demand?
They could contribute to demand because facilities contain equipment and support systems that may require precision grouting. But the available construction figures are not grout purchasing data, and no semiconductor-specific cement-based grout market share or demand figure is established in the cited sources.
What the construction numbers do—and do not—show
- The Cement Institute reports that data-center construction grew 32.3% in 2025 and used more than 2 million metric tons of cement. That is an estimate of cement use, not a measurement of grout consumption. The Cement Institute’s data-center construction page.
- An American Cement Association-hosted forecast PDF assumes 180 new data-center facilities annually over the following three years toward 6,000 total facilities, and projects 17.8% growth in real spending. These are forecast assumptions and projections, not measured grout demand. American Cement Association-hosted construction forecast.
- Global Market Insights discusses data-center construction alongside cementitious grout uses such as base plates and anchoring. That supports a possible application link, but does not quantify grout purchases attributable to data centers or semiconductor fabs. Global Market Insights’ cementitious grout market analysis.
The distinction matters: a rise in facility construction or cement consumption cannot be converted into a grout-market growth rate without project-level data on grout specifications, quantities and procurement. The IndexBox forecast may reflect a broader set of drivers; its headline growth estimate does not establish what share comes from fabs or data centers.

How to compare non-shrink precision grouts
There is no universal best grout for a machine foundation or base plate. Start with the engineer’s specification and the current regional product data sheet, then compare products on the conditions that affect placement, acceptance and service.
- Application and load: confirm that the product is intended for the equipment support, base plate or anchorage in the project design.
- Standard and approvals: check the exact standard, edition and consistency or working-time conditions required. A product’s stated compliance does not automatically satisfy every project specification.
- Placement and flow: verify whether the grout is designed to be poured or pumped and whether its flow consistency suits the geometry and access available.
- Working time and strength development: compare the stated placement window and early as well as final strength against installation and loading schedules.
- Dimensional stability and fresh behavior: review shrinkage or expansion behavior, bleed or segregation limits, and aggregate size where these affect the application.
- Site conditions and logistics: check temperature and curing conditions, packaging, and local availability. Values and package formats can vary by region and product version.
For semiconductor fabs and data centers in particular, the cited manufacturer pages establish precision-grout applications but do not establish cleanroom suitability or qualification for a specific facility. Follow the project design documents, local approval requirements and current regional technical data sheet rather than inferring suitability from a market trend or product category.
