Red Rocks Station’s plan calls for 20 townhomes at 1870 W Pleasant Street in Knoxville, Iowa, but the available city records do not confirm that townhouse construction has started. As of the City of Knoxville’s April 2026 planning documents, two five-unit buildings were proposed for one phase, while two more were identified as a future phase.
What is planned at Red Rocks Station?

Which buildings are proposed for the first townhome phase?
In the April 2026 documents, the owner intended to build two of the four buildings on Lot 2, east of the entrance driveway. The city’s summary labels these two five-unit buildings “Proposed Phase.” The other two five-unit buildings, on Lot 1, are labeled “Future Phase.” These labels reflect the status recorded in those documents; they do not confirm that either phase has since begun.
Has townhome construction started?
The reviewed city records do not establish a townhouse construction start date, construction schedule, or completion date. The City Council approved the Red Rocks Station Subdivision final plat on April 20, 2026, by unanimous vote. That approval is a subdivision action, not a construction-start announcement. How do the townhomes relate to the existing apartments?
The planned townhomes are distinct from the apartment phase. City documents describe a recently completed, three-story apartment building with 36 units and a parking lot on the property. Are townhome prices or leasing details available?
The cited city records do not state whether the townhomes will be sold or rented, or provide prices or availability dates. Ma’una Management has a public rental page for Red Rocks Station apartments at the West Pleasant Street address, but that page does not establish that the planned townhomes are listed or available.
