The Yeedi 2 Hybrid was considered a capable budget robot vacuum in 2021, particularly on hard floors, but its mop is basic and its camera-based navigation does not prevent collisions with small obstacles. The €300 price reflects coverage from 2021—not a verified price or current offer—so any buying decision now depends on what it actually costs and whether it is still available.
What the Yeedi 2 Hybrid does—and what it doesn’t
The Yeedi 2 Hybrid combines vacuuming with a damp-cloth mopping function. It uses an upward-facing camera to map rooms rather than a laser navigation turret. The camera helps create a room map; it is not forward-facing object recognition, so mapping does not mean the robot can reliably spot cables, socks or other small items.

NextPit’s 30 April 2021 review lists a maximum suction rating of 2,500 Pa in Boost mode, a 430 ml dust capacity, a 240 ml water capacity, a 7.7 cm height and a claimed runtime of 200 minutes. These are specifications reported by that review, not independent measurements of real-world performance.
How well does it vacuum?
Vacuuming was the stronger part of the package in the 2021 reviews, especially on hard floors. NextPit reported strong pickup on PVC after several passes, while COMPUTER BILD found better performance on smooth floors than on carpet. In COMPUTER BILD’s 2021 test, the robot collected 82.1 grams from a 100-gram test mixture; that figure is the publication’s test result, not a guarantee for every home or surface.

Carpet was a weaker use case in the reported tests. NextPit noted weaker results on long-pile carpet, and COMPUTER BILD also found pickup less effective there. COMPUTER BILD reported that the robot lacked carpet detection, so it should not be assumed to recognize carpet and adjust its cleaning automatically.
Is the mopping useful?
The attached cloth provides light wiping, not powered scrubbing. NextPit’s reviewer described it as useful for collecting loose dirt left after vacuuming; both NextPit and COMPUTER BILD found it inadequate for stubborn or dried-on stains. Treat it as a small maintenance aid on suitable hard floors, not a substitute for manual stain removal or a dedicated scrubbing mop.
COMPUTER BILD reported that app-based no-go zones could help keep the robot off carpet during mopping. That is a user-set boundary, not automatic carpet avoidance.
How reliable are its navigation and app features?
The camera-based Visual-SLAM system can build a usable map without a laser turret. Reviews described app features including map-based cleaning areas, scheduling and controls; COMPUTER BILD also reported Alexa and Google Assistant voice control. Heise regarded the camera navigation and the robot’s low profile as advantages.

The bumper reacts when the robot makes contact, but reviews reported collisions or repeated bumping and weak responses to objects such as cables and socks. Map creation and room-level cleaning controls do not establish that the robot can identify small objects ahead of it. Clear loose items from its route and use app-defined boundaries where appropriate.
Who is it best suited to?
Based on the 2021 reviews, it is most plausible for someone who wants app-mapped vacuuming on mostly hard floors, has a relatively uncluttered layout, and is comfortable doing some manual preparation. Its low profile may also help it reach under furniture with sufficient clearance.
- More suitable: homes where hard-floor vacuuming is the priority and light, occasional wiping is enough.
- Less suitable: homes with substantial carpet, lots of cables or small objects, furniture that should not be bumped, or a need to scrub dried stains.
Does the €300 price still make sense?
The €300 framing is historical. NextPit reported a recommended retail price of €299.99 and temporary promotions as low as €219 in 2021. COMPUTER BILD and Heise also discussed pricing in their 2021 coverage. None of those reports establishes today’s price, stock, seller or condition, and Yeedi’s current lineup does not by itself confirm that the older model remains on sale.
If you find one listed now, judge it against its current price and condition rather than the old €300 headline. Compare the offer with your need for hard-floor vacuuming, carpet performance, obstacle avoidance and meaningful mopping; verify availability and seller details before buying. The official European manual lists side brushes and washable/reusable and disposable cleaning cloths among the package contents, but that does not confirm current availability or compatibility of replacement parts.
