The Xiaomi Microwave Oven is a 20L, 700W countertop unit with two rotary knobs, five power levels, a separate defrost mode, a timer of up to 35 minutes, and a removable glass turntable. Xiaomi markets it with “360° surround heating,” which it attributes to the turntable and a design it calls “3D circulating reflection.” That is the manufacturer’s own explanation. Xiaomi’s product materials do not give a heating-time figure, and no independent heating-uniformity test was found, so the “360°” wording should be read as a product claim rather than a measured result.
Core specifications
According to Xiaomi’s official global product page and its support FAQ (the page is undated; it was reviewed on 8 October 2026), the unit has the following specifications:
- Capacity: 20L
- Cooking power: 700W
- Controls: two rotary knobs, one for time and one for power
- Power levels: five
- Defrost: a separate, independent defrost mode
- Timer: up to 35 minutes
- Turntable: removable glass
- Interior: described by Xiaomi as nano-coated, with the turntable removable for cleaning
Outer dimensions, weight, supply voltage and plug type are not part of the material reviewed for this article. Check them against the manual for your exact unit before buying or installing.
What “360° surround heating” means
Xiaomi says the glass turntable combined with “3D circulating reflection” produces “360° 3D heating.” Rotating the food is a common way to reduce cold spots in a microwave, and the turntable is the part of that claim a buyer can see directly. The reflection design is described only in Xiaomi’s own words.

What is not established is how much more even the heating is than other 20L or 700W microwaves. No laboratory measurement, comparative test or independent review of heating uniformity was found. The claim also does not say how quickly food heats. Treat it as a description of the design, and judge the result on your own food.
Power levels and defrost in practice
The product page gives two examples of how the power levels might be used: a low setting for softening butter, and a high setting for soup or sauce. These are manufacturer suggestions, not tested cooking times. For defrosting, use the separate defrost mode rather than a power level, since Xiaomi lists it as its own function.

Safety and placement
Xiaomi’s safety notes are specific, and they matter more than the heating claims for everyday use:
- Do not use metal utensils, including those with gold or silver edges. Xiaomi’s page states this “to avoid damage to the microwave oven or any danger.”
- Do not run the oven empty.
- Do not heat oil or fried food.
- Pierce foods such as potatoes, chestnuts and sausages before heating.
- Monitor food wrapped in paper or plastic while it heats.
- Keep at least 5cm of clearance at the sides, 10cm at the back and 20cm above.
- Do not place objects on top of the oven.
- Do not place the oven in a cabinet for use. The page states: “Do not place the microwave oven in a cabinet for use.”
Read the manual that ships with your unit, since regional versions can differ in their wording and requirements.

Two China-market reports describe 20L MIJIA microwaves with different prices and labels. They are dated and regional, so they do not describe the current global product or any current offer.

The 2025 report describes an energy-saving edition, so its label and price apply only to that edition. Neither report establishes that the models are identical to the global Xiaomi Microwave Oven.

- Regional availability: confirm the unit is sold new through Xiaomi’s official store or an authorised retailer in your country. Current stock and listings were not verified for this article.
- Current price: prices quoted in 2023 and 2025 are historical China-market figures, so check the live price for your market.
- Energy label: if an energy-efficiency grade matters to you, confirm it for the exact variant you are buying.
- Dimensions and clearances: measure the counter space and the 5cm, 10cm and 20cm clearances before delivery, since the unit cannot go in a cabinet.
