Xiaomi’s Mijia Fresh Air Pro AC Simple White 1.5 HP is a real China-market product launched on October 21, 2024. It was reported with 30-second cooling, 60-second heating, fresh-air ventilation, filtration, and Xiaomi smart-home integration through HyperOS. However, the headline figures do not mean an entire room cools or heats in that time, and international availability of this exact model remains unverified.
Launch date, model and price
The product is a wall-mounted split air conditioner sold under Xiaomi’s Mijia sub-brand. Launch coverage identified it as the Mijia Fresh Air Pro AC Simple White 1.5 HP, introduced in China on October 21, 2024. Reported availability began at 8 p.m. China Standard Time.

The reported standard price was CNY 3,999, reduced to CNY 3,599 during the introductory promotion. Those figures describe the China launch and should not be treated as a current international retail price.
Xiaomi uses similar names—including Fresh Air, Air Conditioner Pro, Pro Eco, SkyFlow and Fresh Air Conditioner Pro—for different models and markets. Buyers should therefore verify the complete model number rather than relying on the phrase “Mijia Fresh Air Pro” alone.

Launch reporting and China-market specifications
What “30-second cooling” actually measures
“30-second cooling” is an outlet-air performance claim, not a promise that a room reaches its target temperature within half a minute. For a related global Mijia Air Conditioner Pro Eco 3.5 kW model, Xiaomi says an Intertek test reduced the indoor outlet temperature below 19°C within 30 seconds when the outdoor dry-bulb temperature was 35°C and the indoor conditions were 27°C dry-bulb and 19°C wet-bulb.
Actual room cooling takes longer and depends on room size, insulation, glazing, sun exposure, starting temperature, airflow, setpoint, installation quality, refrigerant charge and outdoor conditions. A Malaysia-market Mijia model uses a different 30-second threshold—below 24.5°C at fan speed 7—showing that the phrase is not one universal performance standard across Xiaomi’s range.

What “60-second heating” means
The same qualification applies to the heating claim. Xiaomi’s current global page for the related 3.5 kW model says the indoor outlet temperature can exceed 37°C within one minute, under specified conditions of 7°C outdoor dry-bulb, 6°C outdoor wet-bulb and 20°C indoors.
This describes the temperature of air leaving the indoor unit. It does not establish that the room, furniture and occupants become comfortable within 60 seconds. Heat-pump output and efficiency also decline as outdoor temperatures fall, and defrost cycles can temporarily interrupt warm airflow.
The −35°C heating and 65°C cooling claims
China-market launch coverage reported an operating range of −35°C for heating to 65°C for cooling. That is an attention-grabbing range, but the available material does not establish whether those figures are normal operating limits, protection limits, or marketing-range figures.
They also do not show:
- Heating capacity at −35°C
- Efficiency or power consumption at that temperature
- How often defrosting occurs
- Whether the system can maintain a selected indoor temperature continuously
- How long it can operate at the stated extremes
Xiaomi’s official global page for a related Mijia Air Conditioner Pro Eco 3.5 kW lists a different broad range of −32°C to 60°C. Its FAQ gives a narrower normal operating range of 18°C–43°C for cooling and −20°C–24°C for heating. These figures may reflect different models, regions, rated conditions or definitions, so they should not be merged into one specification.
Xiaomi’s FAQ also warns that heating efficiency declines substantially below −7°C and describes defrosting that can pause heating for approximately 10 minutes every 30–60 minutes on the referenced model. Anyone in a severe-winter climate should obtain capacity-at-temperature data from a local installer and plan backup heat rather than relying only on the −35°C headline.

“1.5 HP” is a regional air-conditioner capacity designation, not a direct statement that the unit consumes 1.5 mechanical horsepower. The reported 16–20 m2 recommendation is also only a starting point. Ceiling height, insulation, window area, orientation, climate, occupants, appliances and whether the space is open-plan can materially change the required capacity.

Fresh-air ventilation and filtration
Unlike a conventional split AC that primarily recirculates indoor air, the reported Fresh Air Pro includes an independent fresh-air function rated at 60 m3/h. Launch coverage also reported four-layer HEPA filtration, ion purification and claims of:
- 99% removal of bacteria, viruses and pollen
- 93% removal of formaldehyde
- 99% removal of PM2.5, carbon monoxide and TVOCs in the fresh-air function
These are product or launch claims, not independently validated results in the available material. “Removal” is meaningful only alongside details such as the pollutant concentration, particle size, airflow rate, test chamber, filter stage and operating mode.

A 60 m3/h fresh-air rate may be useful in a bedroom or small office, but it is not the same as whole-home ventilation. Nor should a carbon-monoxide removal claim be treated as a substitute for combustion-safety measures, correctly designed ventilation or a certified carbon-monoxide alarm. Buyers should confirm the exact intake arrangement, filter replacement schedule and installation requirements before purchase.

Reported China-market features include Xiaomi HyperOS Connect, Mijia/Xiaomi Home app control, Xiao AI voice commands, NFC tap-to-control, OTA firmware updates and automatic adjustments through Xiaomi’s Lingyun AI Engine.
The system also offers airflow modes intended to reduce direct drafts, including ceiling, carpet and surround airflow. These comfort modes may appeal to bedroom users who dislike a strong stream of cold air.
HyperOS compatibility does not automatically mean universal Matter, Apple Home, Google Home or Alexa support. App functions, language, voice assistants, cloud services and firmware availability can depend on the model’s market, Xiaomi Home account region and network configuration. Xiaomi’s related global model uses 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and is not compatible with 5 GHz-only networks.

This is a split-system air conditioner, not a plug-in appliance. Installation normally involves refrigerant lines, condensate drainage, electrical work, outdoor-unit mounting and a suitable wall penetration. A fresh-air model may require additional planning for the intake opening and airflow path. The China launch report’s suggestion that major ductwork may not be required is product-specific and should not be generalized to every installation.
Importing the China model can create additional risks:
- Electrical compatibility: confirm voltage, frequency, current requirements and local code compliance.
- Refrigerant and servicing: verify the refrigerant, tools and qualifications available to local HVAC technicians.
- Warranty: a China-market warranty may not be valid where the unit is installed.
- App region: a China device may require a China Xiaomi Home region and may lose features on another account region.
- Firmware and language: updates, menus and voice control may be restricted by market.
- Filters and parts: establish how replacement filters and service components will be obtained.
- Outdoor placement: confirm structural support, clearances, drainage and exposure to weather.
Is the Mijia Fresh Air Pro available outside China?
The launch describes a China release. The reviewed material does not establish a current official US purchase page, US warranty or broad international availability for this exact Fresh Air Pro 1.5 HP model.
Xiaomi does sell related global models under the Mijia Air Conditioner Pro Eco name, including a 3.5 kW model and a 2.6 kW model in some markets. They may have different capacities, operating ranges, electrical specifications, features and room-size recommendations. The global 2.6 kW specifications page lists 220–240 V/50 Hz operation and a recommendation of approximately 10–20 m2, making it unsuitable for many markets unless electrical and regulatory compatibility is specifically confirmed.

Who should consider it?
The product could be attractive to Xiaomi users in a supported market who want one wall-mounted system combining cooling, heating, fresh-air intake, filtration and smart-home control. Its reported capacity and room-size recommendation make it more appropriate for a small bedroom, office or similarly sized enclosed room than for a large open-plan area.
It is a more questionable purchase as an import. The apparent savings can disappear after shipping, professional installation, electrical adaptation, local code work and replacement parts. App-region restrictions and unavailable warranty service may also outweigh the convenience of Xiaomi integration.
Most importantly, the −35°C claim alone is not enough evidence to select this as a sole heating system for severe winter conditions. Ask for heating capacity and efficiency at the local design temperature, confirm defrost behavior, and compare it with a locally supported heat pump that has established service coverage.
Verdict
Xiaomi did launch the Mijia Fresh Air Pro AC in China in October 2024, and its headline features are supported by reported China specifications and related official Xiaomi testing. But “30-second cooling” and “60-second heating” describe outlet-air tests, not whole-room results, while the −35°C and 65°C figures cannot be treated as universal rated performance. Outside China, buyers should verify the exact model, local certification, electrical requirements, installer support, warranty, filters and Xiaomi Home compatibility before considering an import.
