GICON’s high-altitude wind tower in Schipkau, Brandenburg, reached its full planned height of 365 meters on September 28, 2026. That is the height to the rotor blade tip; the turbine’s hub sits at 300 meters. The topping-out milestone marks completion of the tower’s height, not a completed commissioning or proof that it is generating electricity.
Where is the 365-meter wind turbine?
The pilot is in Schipkau, in Germany’s Lusatia region in Brandenburg. GICON developed and built the project on commission from Germany’s Federal Agency for Disruptive Innovation (SPRIND). It is a single pilot installation, not a completed commercial wind farm. The Associated Press reported on the project’s location and development.
How tall is the world’s tallest wind turbine?
GICON says the installation measures 365 meters from the ground to the rotor blade tip, with a hub height of 300 meters. These figures describe different measurements: the hub is where the rotor connects to the turbine, while tip height includes a blade at its highest point. GICON announced the 365-meter milestone on September 29, 2026.
For scale, the 365-meter tip height is three meters below Berlin’s 368-meter television tower and above the Eiffel Tower’s 330 meters, according to Deutschland.de’s September 30, 2026 report. Height alone, however, does not establish how much electricity a turbine will produce or whether the design is commercially viable.

Has construction finished, and is the turbine operating?
The structure topped out on September 28, but final height is not the same as completion of all work or commissioning. In its September 29 notice, GICON said several more days of final work remained and that official commissioning was planned for November. The AP reported on October 1 that internal wiring remained and an inauguration was planned for November 19. Neither report establishes that the turbine was operating as of October 7, 2026.
Why build a wind turbine with a 300-meter hub?
The pilot is designed to test whether reaching stronger, steadier winds at greater heights can increase wind-energy yield. GICON estimates that its design could produce roughly twice the energy of a conventional turbine with the same rotor diameter. That is a projected benefit from the developer, not a result verified by operating data from this pilot.

GICON lists the pilot’s rated capacity as 3.8 megawatts (MW). Rated capacity describes the turbine’s output under specified operating conditions; it is not an annual-energy figure and does not mean the turbine will continuously produce 3.8 MW. Actual generation depends on wind and operating conditions, and no measured output from the pilot was established in the reports cited here.
What are the projected output and household estimates?
GICON’s July 16, 2025 construction announcement projected at least 18 million kilowatt-hours (kWh) of annual generation—enough, by the company’s estimate, for around 6,000 households. That projection is a forecast, not measured production.

- Build and experiment with a real, working 3-foot tall wind turbine to learn how wind is one of the most promising sources of clean, renewable energy available today.
- Single-piece blade construction for improved durability and better aerodynamics.
- Generate electricity to charge a battery and power a small model car.
- New weatherproof battery box can be left outside!
- Includes stakes to secure the turbine to the ground.
A separate Deutschland.de report from September 30, 2026 described the turbine as capable of supplying up to 7,500 households. These are differently attributed estimates, not a single confirmed household figure; neither is evidence of electricity already generated by the pilot.

GICON says the project is intended to help prepare the technology for scaling. The company estimates that up to 4,000 existing turbines at German wind-farm sites could potentially be retrofitted with its approach. That figure describes a potential market, not an approved or completed retrofit program.

The AP reported that GICON planned to use findings from the pilot to develop a wind farm with three to five extra-tall turbines. That, too, is a future plan rather than a built project. The pilot’s operating results will matter: the record height is an engineering milestone, but the central test is whether the design can reliably deliver the projected energy gains.

- Realistic Wind Turbine Model: This wind turbine model toy mimics a real wind turbine to scale, and the most interesting thing is that its blades can also turn.
- 21.65inch Large Size Model: Compared to other ordinary wind turbine models, this wind turbine model has a large size, which can be installed up to 55cm/ 21.65inch.
- Wind-up Wind Turbine: This windmill toy adopts wind-up design that enables the blades turn automatically after it gets winded up. To wind it up, we just need to turn its blades clockwise for several rounds.
- Learn While Playing: This model of a wind turbine is not only a toy, but also a scientific and educational tool. It can guide children to understand the role of wind and inertia more intuitively, and cultivate children's interest in science.
- Suitable for Multiple Occasions: Kids can play with this windmill toy on their own or DIY transform it in the company of their parents. Teachers can also use it as an improvised teaching tool in the classroom.
