A listed price does not show what it will cost to get a refrigerator into your kitchen and ready to use. Compare the same model and delivery address across retailers, then account for these items:

Lowe’s
Lowe’s says a new refrigerator connector may be required and sold separately. Basic installation is available only in select markets. For its delivery team to connect the refrigerator, a working shut-off valve must be within six feet; the team cannot connect copper waterlines. Haul-away costs extra. Confirm current requirements and charges with your local store or in your cart.

Check Costco’s published return and warranty terms
Costco’s official major-appliance return policy, published March 3, 2026, says refrigerators over 10 cubic feet may be returned within 90 days after receipt. The policy has terms and limitations, so review it for the order you are placing. Costco’s appliance page says it extends the manufacturer warranty to two years on major appliances; its official policy explains that Costco may meet its second-year obligation through repair, replacement, or a refund up to the purchase price.

Measure and prepare before scheduling delivery
A refrigerator that fits the kitchen opening can still fail to make it through the delivery route. Before choosing a model or booking installation:
- Measure the opening’s height, width, and depth, allowing for the clearances required by the model.
- Measure doorways, hallways, stairs, and turns along the route from the entrance to the kitchen. Compare those measurements with the refrigerator’s delivery dimensions.
- Confirm the required electrical outlet and, for models with water dispensers or ice makers, the water source and shut-off valve.
