The proposed amenity has been described as the world’s highest indoor rainforest, but that record claim has not been independently verified—and the rainforest is not yet operating.
What is Tiger Sky Tower?
Tiger Sky Tower is a residential high-rise project by Tiger Properties in Business Bay, Dubai. The developer announced the project in 2024 with a cost of US$1 billion; that is an announced figure, not an independently audited final construction cost. Tiger Properties’ announcement and its project listing identify the development.
The Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) lists the tower at 532 metres (1,745 feet) and 116 floors, and says it is under construction. CTBUH cautions that project information can change before completion and confirmation. Its Tiger Sky Tower record is the source for those current project figures.
What rainforest and other amenities are planned?
Tiger Properties announced an internal rainforest at 447 metres (1,466 feet). It also listed an infinity pool at 431 metres and a restaurant at 439 metres. These are announced amenity elevations, not confirmation that the facilities have been built or opened.

New Atlas reported that the rainforest concept included walkways, small huts and a zip wire, while noting that details were limited. The developer’s announcement attributes this statement to Amer Waleed Al Zoubi, without specifying his role alongside the quotation: “Our project represents our unwavering commitment to setting new standards of luxury living in Dubai by being the world’s highest rainforest and most luxurious skyscraper in the UAE.” This is promotional language from the developer, not independent confirmation of a record.
Is it really the world’s highest internal rainforest?
That remains a developer claim about a planned feature, rather than a settled record. The available project listing and announcement do not establish independent record adjudication, and the proposed rainforest is not yet an operating amenity. It is therefore more accurate to describe Tiger Sky Tower as planned to host a rainforest at 447 metres than to state that it already holds a verified record.

When is Tiger Sky Tower expected to be completed?
CTBUH gives 2029 as the expected completion year. Tiger Properties’ 2024 announcement had specified handover in the second quarter of 2029. Both dates are forecasts; neither confirms an opening date or actual delivery.

Published descriptions do not establish the rainforest’s final design or operating requirements. The available sources do not specify its area, plant species, water source, humidity or temperature controls, maintenance approach, energy demand, or public-access arrangements. Nor do they provide environmental assessments or final design details for the zip wire. Those questions should remain open until project documentation or confirmed updates address them.
