Bosch announced a new two-rack 300 Series dishwasher on July 10, 2024, with a stated launch price of $699. The release describes Home Connect features and hands-free control with Amazon Alexa or Google Home, but it does not identify the dishwasher’s model number or establish its current price or availability.
What did Bosch add to the 300 Series dishwasher?
BSH Home Appliances Corporation announced the dishwasher in a release dated July 10, 2024, with a July 9 dateline from Irvine. Bosch described a two-rack design with a full stainless steel tub, available at launch in black, white, and fingerprint-resistant stainless steel. The release said it would be available through retailers nationwide at a $699 price point; that is the announcement’s launch price, not a current quote. Read Bosch’s announcement.
Cleaning, drying, and leak protection
- PrecisionWash: Bosch says its five-point system targets cleaning across the load.
- PureDry: The release names Bosch’s closed drying system.
- AquaStop: Bosch says the system shuts down the dishwasher and pumps out water if a leak occurs.
- Noise: Bosch described 300 Series operation as “as low as 48dBA.” This is the manufacturer’s stated figure, not an independent measurement.
These are Bosch’s product descriptions and claims; the announcement does not provide independent comparative test results.
Does the Bosch 300 Series dishwasher work with Alexa?
Yes. Bosch’s announcement says the dishwasher supports hands-free voice control with Amazon Alexa. Bosch’s current Home Connect guidance says a user needs an Alexa-enabled device and must activate Remote Start on the dishwasher before using voice control. Bosch gives this example command: “Alexa, tell My Dishwasher to run Auto in 2 hours.” See Bosch’s Home Connect dishwasher guidance.

Can I control a Bosch dishwasher with Google Home?
Bosch says the announced dishwasher works with Google Home, and its Home Connect feature page describes voice control through Google Assistant. You need a Google Assistant-enabled device, and Remote Start must be activated for voice control. Available commands and functions can depend on the connected model and setup.
What does Home Connect do?
Bosch describes Home Connect as a way to access dishwasher cycles and options, including Delay Start. Its guidance also covers Smart Cycle, push notifications, Favorite settings, and voice control. Exact cycles and options vary by dishwasher model, so not every feature should be assumed to apply identically to every 300 Series listing.

Detergent-tablet replenishment
Bosch says Home Connect can identify when dishwasher tablets are running low and support reordering through Amazon Smart Reorder. Its instructions call for connecting with Alexa and enabling the Dishwasher skill. Reordering is an optional replenishment feature, not a requirement for operating the dishwasher.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Is the announced two-rack model available now, and what is its model number?
The July 2024 release does not name a model number. Bosch’s current product pages list the SHE53CE5N and SHE53C82N as 300 Series dishwashers, but those listings do not establish that either is the two-rack dishwasher described in the announcement. Their configurations, prices, and availability should not be transferred to the unnamed launch model. Check with Bosch or a retailer for current stock and pricing, and confirm the model number and rack configuration before ordering.

How Bosch described the launch
Richard Tarrant, Head of Dish Care at Bosch North America, said the company was expanding its dishwasher lineup “to make high quality Bosch appliances more accessible to consumers.” He also described the new model as offering signature Bosch features at a more affordable price.
