Vivoo Smart Toilet is not a new toilet. It is a toilet-mounted urine-analysis accessory designed to provide hydration-related insights in the Vivoo mobile app after normal bathroom use. The current Vivoo storefront lists it at $99 as an “Early Bird” product, but subscription requirements, installation details, cleaning guidance, compatibility and independent accuracy data remain unclear.
That makes Vivoo potentially interesting for frictionless wellness tracking—but not a replacement for urine strips, clinical testing or medical advice.

What is Vivoo Smart Toilet?
Vivoo Smart Toilet appears to attach to an existing toilet bowl rather than replace the toilet, seat or plumbing fixture. Reporting from its CES 2026 announcement describes a sensor positioned inside the bowl, with a battery pack outside the water-contact area. The device is intended to collect or sample urine during ordinary use and send the resulting information to the Vivoo app.

Vivoo’s Android app describes Smart Toilet as a “toilet-attached wellness accessory” that passively measures hydration through urine analysis. In practical terms, “passive” means the user should not need to handle a test strip or deliberately collect a sample for every reading. It does not mean continuous monitoring, operation without power, or guaranteed results after every toilet visit.
#1 Best Overall
- EFFORTLESS CONTROL: The rotary knob on the side of the smart toilet bidet seat controls the rinsing modes; The remote control combines the other functions in a clear layout; You can remotely adjust the rinsing settings (regular, powerful, and massage cleaning), temperature settings (seat, water, and dryer air), and control the air dryer, night light, child mode, and SOS mode; Simple operation makes it easy to use even for children and the elderly
- ADJUSTABLE TEMPERATURE: The electric bidet toilet seat provides a clean and cozy experience even in cold winter with adjustable seat temperature, water temperature, and air temperature settings; Adjustable temperature range: Heated seat: OFF, 91.4 ℉, and 98.6 ℉; Warm water: OFF, 95 ℉, and 100.4 ℉; Air dryer: OFF, 91.4 ℉, 100.4 ℉, and 109.4 ℉
- CONSIDERATE DESIGN: Equipped with double nozzles, the device allows for posterior rinsing and feminine rinsing, which protects the health of families (available even during a power failure); The ABS nozzle has a self-cleaning function; The spraying angles and positions are designed for good ergonomics; The toilet seat also features an LED night light illuminating the bowl in the dark
- PREMIUM MATERIAL: Made of high-quality flame-retardant PP, the toilet seat prevents breakage and is solid and resistant to corrosion; Its surface is smooth without sharp points, edges, or corners, which is safe and easy to clean; Upgraded copper fitting not only perfectly fits the metal pipe to prevent leakage, but is also more durable and has a longer lifespan
- EASY TO INSTALL: Measuring 20" x 14.7" x 3.3", the installation of the toilet seat can be accomplished without professional assistance in the simple steps indicated in the instruction manual; The low-profile design makes it suitable for most home decor; Upgrade your existing toilet and make your choice with the VIVOHOME slow close toilet seat
The available public material does not establish whether the accessory fits most toilet shapes, whether installation is tool-free, whether it requires plumbing changes, or whether it works with all bowl designs. It also does not clearly document the wireless connection, phone requirements, waterproofing rating or household-user identification system.
Vivoo’s current product catalog shows the Smart Toilet with an “Add to cart” option, but the listing does not provide enough technical information to verify compatibility before purchase.
How the passive tracking process is supposed to work
- The user urinates normally.
- The toilet-mounted hardware captures or samples some of the urine.
- The device or a connected analysis system evaluates the sample.
- The result is transferred to the Vivoo mobile app.
- The app presents hydration-related feedback or trends.
Vivoo says results reach a smartphone in approximately two minutes. That is a company-published or reported result time, not an independent hands-on measurement. It should be understood as a post-visit result rather than “real-time” or continuous hydration monitoring.
The public documentation does not identify the precise chemical assay, biomarker, sample volume, calibration process or algorithm. Therefore, it is more accurate to say that Vivoo analyzes urine to produce a hydration-related wellness signal than to say that it directly measures total-body hydration.
What does it measure?
The current Smart Toilet description specifically focuses on hydration. Vivoo’s wider urine-testing platform advertises other parameters, including pH, magnesium, calcium, sodium, vitamin C, ketones, oxidative stress and protein, depending on the product.
Those capabilities belong to Vivoo’s broader testing ecosystem and should not automatically be attributed to Smart Toilet. A separate Vivoo product may use manual urine strips with a different testing process. Older Vivoo concept material also described an automatically aligned strip, optical reading and several health parameters, but that predates the CES 2026 passive-sensor positioning and should be treated as development history rather than a current specification.
Vivoo’s Smart Toilet blog material and Android app listing support the hydration-monitoring description. They do not establish that the toilet accessory performs every test offered through manual strips.

Why a urine reading is not the same as a medical hydration measurement
Urine concentration can provide useful context about recent fluid balance, but it is an indirect signal. Results may vary with the timing of the sample, recent drinking, diet, exercise, sweating, illness, medication and kidney function. A single unusually dark or clear sample can be misleading.
Vivoo’s app listing says the platform is intended for general wellness awareness and education and does not diagnose, detect or treat disease. Vivoo’s FAQ likewise says its specific-gravity and water measurements are not intended for medical use.
Smart Toilet should not be used to:
- Diagnose dehydration or determine its severity.
- Detect kidney disease or electrolyte disorders.
- Replace clinical urinalysis.
- Decide whether someone needs emergency treatment.
- Set fluid intake safely for people with heart, kidney, liver or endocrine conditions.
Concerning symptoms—including confusion, fainting, persistent vomiting or diarrhea, unusual thirst or other signs of illness—call for medical advice, not reliance on a consumer wellness score. Drinking more water is not always the right response; excessive fluid intake can also be dangerous in some circumstances.
How accurate is Vivoo Smart Toilet?
No independent validation study specific to Smart Toilet is identified in the available material. Vivoo’s main website promotes its broader testing platform with a claim of more than 96% precision, but that figure should not be transferred to this accessory. It may refer to different products, parameters or internal testing conditions.
A meaningful Smart Toilet accuracy assessment would need to disclose the exact analyte or proxy being measured, the reference method, sample size, participant characteristics, error margins and the conditions that produce failed or unreliable readings. Until that information is available, the safest description is that Vivoo markets Smart Toilet as a hydration-monitoring tool—not that its accuracy is independently established.
Factors that could affect a reading
Potential sources of variation include:
- Drinking a large amount shortly before urinating.
- First-morning urine versus later samples.
- Caffeine, alcohol, supplements or unusual dietary intake.
- Heavy exercise, sweating, fever, vomiting or diarrhea.
- Diuretics and other medications.
- Kidney, heart, liver or endocrine conditions.
- Very dilute urine caused by excessive fluid intake.
- Cleaning chemicals, toilet additives or residual bowl water.
- Menstrual blood or other contamination.
- An incomplete or poorly captured sample.
Vivoo’s general FAQ warns that antibiotics, diuretics, neuroleptic medication, painkillers and hormonal medications can affect Vivoo results. It is not yet clear whether every warning applies identically to Smart Toilet, so users should look for device-specific instructions.
Price, subscription and availability
The current U.S. Vivoo storefront lists Smart Toilet at $99 and labels that price “Early Bird.” The page appears to allow the product to be added to a cart, but it does not clearly state whether the price is permanent, when current orders will ship or whether a subscription is required.

A January 2026 CES report described the launch terms as:
- $99 introductory pricing.
- An expected eventual price of $129.
- A reported $6-per-month subscription.
- Expected shipping in March 2026.
Those figures came from secondary launch coverage and should not be treated as confirmed current checkout terms. If the reported $6 monthly fee applies, the first-year total would be $171 before tax ($99 plus 12 months at $6). Confirm the recurring charge, cancellation terms and the features that stop working without it before ordering.
Vivoo’s separate Hydration Test strips are listed at $19.99 for 30 tests when available, with subscription options also displayed. The collection page currently marks that product as sold out. Manual strips require the user to collect and test urine; Smart Toilet is intended to automate the process, so the two products are not interchangeable.
Battery life and unanswered hardware questions
CES coverage reports a manufacturer claim of more than 1,000 measurements, with the battery pack located outside the bowl. There is no independent battery test or clearly published official manual in the available sources.
Before buying, confirm:
- How the battery is recharged.
- How long charging takes.
- Whether readings are possible while charging.
- Whether the battery is replaceable.
- How low-battery warnings appear.
- Whether the sensor is waterproof or only splash-resistant.
These details matter more in a bathroom than a headline battery estimate. A device that requires removal for charging or is vulnerable to ordinary cleaning could be considerably less convenient than the concept suggests.

The public product information does not provide detailed cleaning instructions. It is not safe to assume that bleach, toilet tablets, acids, descalers or other common bowl-cleaning products are approved for use around the sensor.
Vivoo should clarify:
- How often the device must be cleaned.
- Which cleaners are safe.
- Whether the sensor contacts urine, toilet water or both.
- How biological residue is removed.
- Whether sample-contact parts are replaceable.
- How the device is removed for deep cleaning.
- Whether hard-water buildup can affect readings.
- Whether cleaning chemicals can cause false or failed measurements.
- Expected service life and warranty coverage.
Compatibility is similarly underdocumented. Check the product manual and measure the toilet before purchase once the manufacturer publishes supported bowl shapes, dimensions and installation requirements. Also confirm iPhone and Android support, wireless protocol, required phone distance, account requirements and whether installation affects flushing or routine scrubbing.

Shared bathrooms and user attribution
A household device needs a reliable way to determine whose sample it has measured. No available source explains whether Vivoo Smart Toilet:
- Requires users to select themselves in the app.
- Uses phone proximity, a wearable or another identity signal.
- Separates household members algorithmically.
- Records anonymous events.
- Can prevent one person’s reading being assigned to another.
Until Vivoo documents this, precise multi-user tracking should be considered unverified. The issue is especially important for caregivers, families and shared bathrooms. A product designed around one private toilet may be much less useful when several people use the same fixture.

Privacy and sensitive bathroom data
Urine-derived information is intimate even when presented as general wellness data. The Vivoo app and account structure should be evaluated before purchase, especially by users who do not want biological information stored in a cloud-connected service.
Questions to ask include:
- What data leaves the sensor?
- Are raw measurements uploaded, or only interpreted scores?
- How long is information retained?
- Can an account holder delete and export the data?
- Does the app support household sharing?
- Which analytics or service providers process the information?
- Does the privacy policy specifically cover Smart Toilet?
Vivoo’s FAQ says the company follows HIPAA compliance standards. That wording should not be converted into a claim that the consumer product is a HIPAA-covered medical service. The Google Play listing reports that the developer does not share data with third parties and that Health Connect data is not shared with third parties. These are company or developer disclosures, not an independent privacy audit.
Who is Smart Toilet for?
It may suit you if you:
- Want routine-based wellness tracking with minimal effort.
- Dislike handling urine strips.
- Already use the Vivoo app.
- Want trends rather than clinical answers.
- Have a private, compatible toilet.
- Accept possible subscription costs and app dependence.
It is probably a poor fit if you:
- Need medically reliable hydration assessment.
- Have kidney, heart, liver or endocrine disease.
- Want a one-time purchase with no recurring fee.
- Share a bathroom and need dependable user attribution.
- Do not want sensitive bathroom data stored in an app.
- Use aggressive cleaners or toilet tablets.
- Rent and cannot install accessories.
- Expect comprehensive urine biomarkers rather than hydration-focused feedback.
- Require independently validated performance.
Alternatives to consider
| Option | Best for | Main trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| Manual urine hydration strips | People who want control over when a test occurs | More effort and recurring consumables |
| Water-intake tracking app | Building drinking habits and reminders | Tracks intake behavior, not urine-based signals |
| Smart bottle or wearable | Activity and hydration routines | Does not directly analyze urine |
| Clinical testing | Symptoms or medical decisions | Requires professional assessment |
| Basic urine-color observation | A free, rough habit cue | Subjective and affected by many factors |
For many healthy people who simply forget to drink, an intake-tracking app may solve the underlying problem with less hardware and less privacy exposure. For a medical concern, professional testing is the appropriate alternative—not a more sophisticated consumer score.
Questions to answer before ordering
- Is the $99 Early Bird price still available?
- Is the reported $6 monthly subscription mandatory?
- Which features stop working without the subscription?
- Has the product shipped, and what is the current delivery estimate?
- Does the hardware fit your toilet’s shape and dimensions?
- Is it compatible with your phone?
- How are readings assigned in a shared household?
- What does the sensor measure chemically?
- What Smart Toilet-specific validation data is available?
- Which cleaners are approved?
- How is the sensor removed for deep cleaning?
- What happens when a sample is contaminated or unusable?
- Can your data be deleted and exported?
- What are the warranty and return terms?
Verdict
Vivoo Smart Toilet’s appeal is reduced friction: it attempts to turn an ordinary bathroom visit into an automated hydration check. The current product listing suggests a $99 purchase price, while CES reporting adds a possible $6 monthly subscription and a claimed battery life exceeding 1,000 measurements.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesBut the product should be viewed as an early wellness accessory, not a diagnostic smart toilet. The most important ownership details—installation, toilet compatibility, cleaning, household attribution, subscription terms, privacy handling and device-specific accuracy—are not fully documented publicly. If convenience is worth that uncertainty, Smart Toilet may be worth investigating. If medical reliability, transparent total cost or proven validation matters most, wait for clearer documentation or choose a more appropriate alternative.
