Wespac Construction announced on October 1, 2026, that it promoted Tyler Mark from vice president to chief operating officer. The company says Mark will partner with its CEO and lead day-to-day construction operations, with priorities spanning project delivery, supply-chain and subcontractor relationships, project controls, and the internal capacity needed to scale.
What Tyler Mark’s COO role covers
Wespac describes the appointment as an operational leadership role across its construction work. Mark’s stated focus is to strengthen project-delivery workflows, relationships with suppliers and subcontractors, project controls, and internal operations as the company grows. The announcement does not specify a timetable, particular projects, or quantified targets for those priorities.

Who is Tyler Mark?
Wespac says Mark has held leadership roles at the company for 22 years and has worked in construction since 1998. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Arizona State University, graduating magna cum laude, according to the announcement.

His reported project experience includes commercial and multifamily development, higher-education housing, hospitality, tenant improvements, and high-end office projects. Wespac also says he helped develop and manage its Northern Arizona office in Flagstaff. Mark described that work as “a long and winding road,” adding that he was proud of the branch and what the company had accomplished together.
How the promotion fits Wespac’s growth strategy
The company presents the COO appointment as part of its effort to scale operations while maintaining project delivery. Wespac says its portfolio is worth more than $500 million. The announcement does not define whether that figure refers to active projects, backlog, cumulative work, or another measure, nor does it give a measurement date. It should therefore be read as the company’s stated portfolio figure, not as a clearly defined or independently verified financial metric.
Mark’s Northern Arizona and community connections
Wespac’s announcement says Mark has served on the Habitat for Humanity of Northern Arizona board since 2011 and is its current president. It also names his involvement with the Flagstaff Chamber of Commerce and Northern Arizona University’s Industry Advisory Board. Independent dated records support some of that institutional context: a 2020 City of Flagstaff agenda packet lists Mark as a Chamber board member and Wespac representative, and NAU’s 2024–2025 Construction Management annual report lists him on its Industry Advisory Board.

Wespac’s October 1 announcement names Mark as its new COO. However, the company’s About page appears to list David Hreha as COO while also including Mark among its leaders. That discrepancy may mean the page has not yet been updated; the specific promotion announcement is the newer source for Mark’s appointment.
