K-Roc FX insulated metal panels
In a September 9 announcement, Kingspan described K-Roc FX as a fire-rated insulated metal panel system with a mineral-wool core. The manufacturer says the panels are available in 4-, 6-, and 8-inch thicknesses. Its stated wall ratings reach one hour with 4-inch panels, two hours with 6-inch panels, and three hours with 8-inch panels; for ceiling applications, it reports ratings up to two hours with 8-inch panels. The announcement says the system was tested to ASTM E119 and ULC-S101.

Vitro architectural glass news
Vitro’s September news included two distinct items: BirdSmart bird-safe glass received a 2026 Best of Products recognition, and the company reported expanded availability of its EcoArmor protective topcoat on Solarban 70 glass. The recognition and the availability update are separate claims; neither establishes that the product was selected for BD+C’s September roundup. A product recognition should also not be read as a comparative performance test.
