Match speed and user-weight limits to your use
Check the manufacturer’s published minimum and maximum speeds, then choose for your intended use: slow walking while working, brisk walking, or something more vigorous. Use the stated maximum user weight as a limit, not a performance estimate. Motor horsepower does not establish a product’s user-weight rating.
Measure the operating and storage footprint
Check both the machine’s operating dimensions and its folded or storage dimensions. Confirm that it can fit where you intend to use and store it, whether that is beneath a standing desk, bed, or sofa. Machine weight, transport wheels, and a folding hinge matter if you will move or stow it regularly.

Decide whether incline or handrails matter
Incline can add workout variation, while a handrail may provide support. Both can change a pad’s dimensions and intended use. Confirm whether incline is fixed or adjustable, its range, and the handrail configuration rather than relying on a broad product label.
Consider noise and handling in context
