A genuine deal should identify the retailer, exact model or SKU, configuration, current price, reference price, stock status, terms and expiration date. A search-result snippet or recycled headline is not enough.
Oura Ring Gen 3 at $249: plausible, but not automatically a bargain
The $249 figure has been reported for the Oura Ring Gen 3, including historical Best Buy coverage, and a secondary deals database recently listed a Gen 3 Heritage model at that price. Those sources do not prove that a new, in-stock, properly warranted ring is available today.

Oura also says promotions generally cannot be combined or stacked. Therefore, do not assume that a $249 Gen 3 listing is an official Oura offer or that it includes a membership.
Check these details on the listing
- It must say Oura Ring Gen 3, not Ring 4.
- Identify the design: Heritage and Horizon models differ in appearance and availability.
- Confirm size, finish and whether the ring is new, refurbished, used or marketplace stock.
- Check battery condition, included charger and whether a sizing kit is available.
- Read the retailer’s return policy and warranty rather than assuming Oura’s standard terms apply.
- Budget separately for the recurring Oura Membership unless the listing explicitly includes it.
Verdict: Gen 3 may suit a buyer who wants the lowest hardware price and accepts older technology and a membership requirement. It is a weak buy if the battery is degraded, warranty coverage is unclear or Ring 4 is only modestly more expensive. Treat $249 as a price to verify, not a confirmed current deal. LG C4 OLED at 45% off: do not publish the percentage without the exact TV
LG’s current promotions page advertises selected OLED savings, including discounts of up to $700, and notes that prices and availability vary by model, retailer, location and inventory. That does not verify a current August 2026 promotion for an LG C4 at 45% off.

The 45% figure appears connected to older or different promotions. LG’s November 2024 announcement described discounts of up to 45% on selected large TVs, including an 83-inch C4. A separate LG promotion result referred to a 77-inch C5. Mixing those claims produces a misleading headline: a C4 is not a C5, and an 83-inch discount does not establish the same percentage for a 42-, 48-, 55-, 65- or 77-inch model.
Before calling an LG OLED deal genuine
- Record the complete model suffix and screen size.
- Compare the current selling price with a realistic recent selling price, not just an inflated MSRP.
- Confirm whether the discount requires a coupon, membership, trade-in or retailer-specific promotion.
- Check delivery, installation, wall-mounting, haul-away and return fees.
- Review the retailer’s return window and warranty coverage.
OLED TVs offer excellent contrast and are often attractive for movies and gaming, but a bright room may favor a mini-LED or QNED alternative. Buyers who display static content for long periods should also consider burn-in risk and the retailer’s handling of panel problems.
Verdict: buy only when the live page shows the exact C4 size, sale price, reference price, retailer and terms. Otherwise, describe this as an unconfirmed or historical claim—not “45% off LG C4.” Compare any clearance C4 with a newer C5, an LG B-series OLED and similarly priced mini-LED sets.

Instant Pot Duo for $70: the model name is incomplete
“Instant Pot Duo” can refer to multiple capacities, generations and configurations. Duo, Duo Plus, Duo Crisp and retailer-exclusive bundles may include different programs and accessories, so a $70 price means little without the model number.
A valid deal report should specify the quart capacity, exact model, included accessories, normal recent selling price, shipping cost, warranty and whether the item is new, refurbished or open-box. It should also explain whether $70 is an automatic markdown or requires a coupon, app activation or membership.
Verdict: no reliable current $70 Duo listing was verified. Do not substitute a different Duo variant to make the headline work. If a listing appears, compare it with the Duo Plus, Duo Crisp and similarly sized multicookers, and avoid any offer that omits the model number or warranty.

“25% off winter fashion” is not a complete deal
A category-wide fashion claim cannot be checked without a named store and eligible products. By August 18, 2026, “winter fashion” could mean previous-season clearance, early fall/winter inventory or a recycled promotion.
Confirm the retailer, promo code, end date, minimum spend and exclusions. Determine whether the discount applies to coats, boots, sweaters, thermal layers and accessories, or only selected styles. Check whether sale, premium and new-arrival items are excluded, whether US shipping applies and whether discounted goods are final sale.

- Open the exact product page, not a search result or generic category page.
- Match the model, size, color, capacity and configuration to the advertised item.
- Apply any coupon and confirm the final price in the cart.
- Check seller identity, condition, stock status and delivery location.
- Add shipping, taxes, installation, membership fees and required accessories to the total.
- Read return, warranty and final-sale language.
- Save the price and terms with the date checked; promotions may change without notice.
Bottom line
The Oura Ring Gen 3 at $249 is the only claim with credible historical support, but it is not confirmed here as a current official promotion. The LG C4 percentage is probably conflated with an older, larger-screen or newer-model offer. The Instant Pot and winter-fashion claims cannot responsibly be recommended without exact listings and terms.
