Status: archival coverage. The prices below were reported on July 9, 2025, the second day of Amazon’s four-day Prime Day event, which ran from July 8 through July 11. They are not confirmed live offers for 2026. Check the Amazon deals page and the individual product listing before buying.
Engadget’s day-two roundup focused on recommended consumer technology and home products, not simply the biggest percentage discounts. The strongest choices depended on the product, generation, configuration and buyer—not the “up to 50 percent off” headline alone.

Apple AirPods Pro 2: best for iPhone users
At the reported $149 price, AirPods Pro 2 were one of the clearest Apple-focused picks. Their strongest advantages are integration with Apple devices, active noise cancellation, onboard volume controls and hearing-related functionality. They make the most sense for someone already using an iPhone, iPad or Mac.
#1 Best Overall
- 【2-in-1 Mopping and Vacuuming】 The ROPVACNIC Robot S1 integrates advanced electronically controlled mopping technology, significantly enhancing both cleaning efficiency and effectiveness, which makes your floors remain free from footprints, dirt, and dust throughout the day. It features an upgraded high-capacity water tank with a four-stage personalized water adjustment system, enabling it to address various stains across different settings according to user requirements.
- 【Comprehensive Intelligent Control】 Multiple Cleaning Modes, combined with personalized settings, allow you to easily accomplish various household cleaning tasks with zero effort from your smartphone. Moreover, by voice commands, you can start your cleaning while kicking back and relaxing (compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant). Enjoy an utterly hands-free cleaning experience.
- 【5200Pa Powerful Suction】A 3-point cleaning system coupled with strong suction ensures your floors are free from all dirt, dust, and crumbs for a thorough, superior clean. The highly passable compact design combined with 3-level suction facilitates cleaning in hard-to-reach areas where you can't, making it suitable for a wide range of surfaces from wood, and hard floors to low pile carpets.
- 【Smarter High Automation & Self-Recharge】 The robot aspiradora is equipped with an advanced high-coverage sensing system and multiple algorithmic data points, enabling autonomous completion of cleaning tasks—from scheduled starting, detecting obstacles, adjusting direction, and switching modes, to automatically returning to recharge. This hassle-free operation ensures a clean home when you return.

Its dual rotating electric side brushes sweep and collect hidden pet hair more efficiently throughout the house, saving you the hassle.
Android users can use them, but should not pay extra for Apple-specific integration they will not use. Check the exact generation and charging-case configuration before checkout.
Bose QuietComfort: best for long listening sessions
The Bose QuietComfort headphones were listed at $199, a stated 42 percent reduction. Engadget highlighted their comfort, noise cancellation, multipoint connectivity and claimed battery life of up to 24 hours. They are a sensible travel and office choice when comfort matters more than having the newest design.
Sony WH-1000XM5: still capable, but no longer current
The WH-1000XM5 appeared at $298, with a stated 25 percent saving. They remained a strong premium option for noise cancellation, sound quality, multipoint support and battery life, but Sony’s newer XM6 generation had launched by then. That makes the XM5 worthwhile only when the discount is large enough to compensate for buying the older model.

At $399, the USB-C AirPods Max were shown at 27 percent off. They suit buyers who specifically want over-ear Apple integration, but the source noted that the design was largely unchanged from the original generation. Compare them with newer alternatives before treating the discount as exceptional.
TV and streaming deals
Samsung The Frame: best for appearance
The 55-inch Samsung The Frame was listed at $798, a stated 47 percent saving. Its main appeal is the art-display design and wall-mounted look. It is not automatically the best picture-quality-per-dollar choice, so shoppers should evaluate brightness, panel characteristics, gaming support and room lighting as well as style.
Hisense CanvasTV: a lower-cost Frame-style alternative
The 65-inch Hisense S7N CanvasTV appeared at $898, down a stated 31 percent. The roundup highlighted its anti-glare treatment, art mode, 144Hz refresh rate and included slim wall mount. Match the exact generation and size: a different CanvasTV configuration may have different specifications or pricing.
Amazon Omni mini-LED Fire TV
Amazon’s 55-inch Omni mini-LED Fire TV was listed at $700, with a stated $120 saving. It was positioned as a higher-end Amazon-branded television, with QLED mini-LED technology, high peak brightness, 144Hz support and AMD FreeSync. It is a better fit for shoppers wanting gaming and brightness features than for someone choosing primarily on decorative design.
Fire TV Stick 4K Max and Fire TV Cube
The Fire TV Stick 4K Max was listed at $35, or $25 off. It supports 4K, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, HDR10+ and Wi-Fi 6E. The caveat is Amazon’s interface, which places substantial emphasis on Prime Video content.
Rank #2

The more powerful Fire TV Cube appeared at $90, a stated $50 saving. It adds a faster experience and Ethernet alongside 4K Dolby Vision, HDR10+ and Wi-Fi 6E support. Choose it when performance or wired networking matters; the Stick is the more economical upgrade for ordinary streaming.
Robot and cordless vacuum deals
iRobot Roomba combo: best for automated maintenance
The iRobot vacuum-and-mop combo was shown at $140, a stated 49 percent discount. It offered a water reservoir, Wi-Fi connectivity, app controls and scheduling. This kind of robot is designed to keep up with routine mess rather than replace manual deep cleaning.
Before buying, verify the precise model, mapping features, threshold clearance, pet-hair performance and whether self-emptying is included. Also price replacement brushes, filters, bags and batteries. A discount on the machine can be less attractive if consumables are expensive.
Dyson V15 Detect Plus: best cordless stick-vacuum pick
The Dyson V15 Detect Plus appeared at $570, a stated $180 reduction. Engadget identified it as a top cordless stick-vacuum choice, citing suction, relatively light handling, battery life and a laser-equipped cleaning head.
A cordless stick vacuum and a robot vacuum solve different problems. The Dyson is for hands-on spot cleaning, stairs and quick whole-home passes; the Roomba is for scheduled floor maintenance. Neither should be judged as a substitute for the other.
Apple, tablet and ereader deals
The base iPad with an A16 chip was listed at $280, down a stated $70. With 128GB of base storage, it was aimed at general apps, browsing, streaming and light productivity. Confirm whether a listing is Wi-Fi or cellular before comparing prices.
The Apple Watch Series 10 appeared at $280, a stated $120 saving. The cited advantages included faster charging, a slimmer design and broad fitness features. Compare the case size, connectivity and generation rather than assuming every Series 10 listing is equivalent.
The standard Kindle was shown at $85, $25 off. It was positioned as a budget ereader with 16GB of storage and faster operation than its predecessor. It is the better choice for readers who want long battery life and fewer distractions.
Rank #3

- Ultra-Slim Design: The 2.99-inch low profile allows the V2 robot vacuum cleaner to easily clean under beds, sofas, and other furniture

- Schedule Cleaning & Automatic Charging: V2 vacuum robot can run routine cleaning automatically based on preset schedule, it cleans up to 120 minutes on a single charge and automatically returns to the charging dock when the battery is low
The Kindle Scribe appeared at $260, down a stated $140. Its larger E Ink display supports reading and handwriting, with integrations involving Google Drive, OneDrive and Dropbox. It is worthwhile only if annotation or a large writing surface justifies the added cost; for ordinary reading, the standard Kindle is simpler and cheaper.

Deals that were notable—but not necessarily bargains
The roundup also mentioned a Nintendo Switch 2 bundle available through Amazon’s invitation-based ordering process. It was listed at the standard $500 price rather than as a conventional Prime Day discount. Limited availability can make a product worth knowing about, but it should not be described as a sale unless the price or bundle value is genuinely reduced.
Similarly, a large saving on an older model may be rational only below a particular price threshold. A newer generation, changed accessory bundle or subscription requirement can alter the calculation.

How Prime Day deals worked
Prime Day discounts were primarily intended for Prime members, with eligible member-only offers labeled as Prime-exclusive. In the 2025 event, discounts generally appeared automatically in the cart when the shopper qualified, although some Amazon promotions were available to nonmembers. New customers could use a 30-day Prime trial during that event, but trial eligibility, membership pricing and renewal terms can change.
Do not join Prime solely for one purchase unless the broader benefits justify the membership. Walmart, Target, Best Buy and manufacturer storefronts commonly run competing promotions around Prime Day. Compare the final price, delivery date, warranty and return terms rather than assuming Amazon is cheapest.
How to validate an Amazon deal before checkout
- Match the exact model: Check generation, model number, storage, screen size, color and included accessories.
- Inspect the seller: Confirm whether the listing is sold by Amazon, the manufacturer or a third party.
- Check the offer mechanics: Look for Prime eligibility, a manually selected coupon, quantity limits or account-specific terms.
- Compare the real reference price: A percentage may be calculated from MSRP rather than the product’s normal street price.
- Review condition and warranty: Make sure the item is new if that is what you expect, and verify return eligibility and warranty coverage.
- Calculate ownership cost: Include subscriptions, filters, bags, replacement parts and accessories.
- Check delivery and availability: A low price is less useful if stock is scarce or delivery does not meet your needs.
- Compare alternatives: Check Amazon against Walmart, Target, Best Buy and the manufacturer’s current price, without assuming identical policies.
Why old deal roundups can mislead
Prices can change by color, capacity and size; sellers can switch; coupons can disappear; and an offer can expire while an article remains online. A product recommendation may still be sound, but the same item may no longer be a good purchase at today’s price. Historical coverage should therefore be used as a record of what was offered—not as proof that the offer is currently available.
