Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

The Brieftons 10-Blade Spiralizer is the best spiralizer overall in the current comparison: Food Network named it Best Overall after testing 10 models, citing even zucchini spirals, the only cleanly processed sweet potato, stable suction, and ten labeled blades. Hamilton Beach is best for electric batches, OXO for compact storage, and KitchenAid for existing mixer owners.

Food Network updated its recommendations on February 5, 2026, while Good Housekeeping supplies an independent laboratory comparison from January 11, 2024. The cited testing belongs to those publishers; ResearchCore did not physically test the products.

Key takeaways

  • Food Network’s February 5, 2026 guide names the Brieftons 10-Blade Spiralizer the best overall spiralizer after testing 10 countertop, handheld, and electric models.
  • The Brieftons is the strongest choice for blade variety and hard vegetables; Food Network reports that it was the only tested machine to process a sweet potato cleanly.
  • The Hamilton Beach Electric Spiralizer is the best option for large batches because its motor does the work and its finished spirals fall into a 6-cup bowl.
  • The OXO 3-Blade Hand-Held Spiralizer is the best space-saving choice, but handheld spiraling is slower and more physically demanding than powered preparation.
  • The KitchenAid Spiralizer Attachment makes the most sense for someone who already owns a compatible KitchenAid stand mixer; current KitchenAid specifications differ from the five-blade configuration reviewed by Food Network.

Brieftons 5-Blade Countertop Vegetable Spiralizer and Veggie Noodle Maker | Japanese 420-grade steel blades, for zucchini pasta, sweet potato, carrot & beet noodles, strong suction pad, 4 recipe eBooks
  • MAKES ZUCCHINI NOODLES AND VEGGIE PASTA IN MINUTES: This vegetable noodle maker turns zucchini, carrots, sweet potatoes, beets, cucumbers, squash, and more into spiral noodles and ribbons with no electricity needed. Swap the carb-heavy pasta on your plate for fresh zoodles, sweet potato noodles, and beet ribbons. A 4-cup serving of zucchini pasta is about 60 calories and 8g carbs versus roughly 800 calories and 160g carbs for regular pasta, so it is an easy way to eat lighter.
  • 5 LABELED JAPANESE 420-GRADE STAINLESS STEEL BLADES: Each blade is clearly labeled so you grab the right cut every time: 2mm angel-hair, 3mm spaghetti, 5mm fettuccine, 5.5mm pappardelle, and a flat ribbon slicer. The 420-grade stainless steel stays sharp and rust-resistant through daily use. Soft produce works with any blade; the 5mm and 5.5mm blades handle the hardest vegetables like raw beets and butternut squash.
  • DISHWASHER-SAFE, BPA-FREE BODY - BUILT FOR WEEKNIGHT MEALS AND MEAL PREP: The body is BPA-free white ABS plastic and the blades are food-safe Japanese 420-grade stainless steel, all dishwasher safe on the top rack only (avoid high-heat cycles). As a quick zucchini noodle maker and vegetable noodle maker, it spiralizes dinner in minutes and portions out batch meal prep: zucchini pasta, sweet potato noodles, squash spaghetti, and ribbon salads, with even strands that cook at the same rate.
  • OVERSIZED SUCTION PAD WITH ON/OFF LEVER: The oversized suction pad has a lever you turn counter-clockwise to engage, locking the spiralizer to flat, hard, non-porous surfaces like granite, marble, tile, and glass so it will not slide mid-use. Flip the lever back for quick release when you are done. While other brands use small, weak suction cups, our veggie spiralizer can lift an 11-pound marble cutting board. The horizontal tabletop design keeps it steady while you crank.
  • WORKS ON FIRM PRODUCE AT LEAST 1.5 INCHES WIDE: This veggie spiralizer handles zucchini, sweet potatoes, carrots, beets, cucumbers, squash, potatoes, apples, onions, daikon radish, parsnips, turnips, rutabaga, bell peppers, radishes, kohlrabi, and pears. Consistent spiral sizes help vegetables cook evenly and look stunning on the plate. It does not work on celery, thin carrots, eggplant, cauliflower florets, or spongy and excessive-seed produce.

Best spiralizers compared

Product Best for Blades in cited review Power and output Main limitation
Brieftons 10-Blade Spiralizer Best overall; varied cuts and hard vegetables 10 Manual crank; countertop suction base Large footprint and strenuous hand-cranking
Hamilton Beach Electric Spiralizer Large batches and avoiding manual cranking 3 Electric motor; included 6-cup bowl Fewer blade options; motor body needs separate cleaning
OXO 3-Blade Hand-Held Spiralizer Small kitchens, drawers, dorm rooms, and occasional use 3 Manual handheld tool; output handled directly Slow and tiring for large quantities
KitchenAid Spiralizer Attachment Existing KitchenAid stand-mixer owners 5 in Food Network’s reviewed configuration Stand-mixer motor; storage case included Requires a compatible KitchenAid mixer; current SKUs vary

Why is the Brieftons 10-Blade Spiralizer the best overall?

The Brieftons is the best overall spiralizer for shoppers who want the broadest selection of cuts and the strongest cited performance on both soft and hard produce. Food Network reported long, thin, even zucchini spirals and said the Brieftons was the only machine in its testing to process a sweet potato cleanly.

Ten labeled blades are easy to switch, making the Brieftons more versatile than the three-blade Hamilton Beach and OXO handheld in the cited comparison. A side handle helps the user push hard vegetables forward while turning the crank. The suction cups and backup lever help keep the unit fixed to the counter, an important advantage when processing dense produce.

The Brieftons also includes a small cleaning brush, a blade caddy, and a canister for storing blades or noodles. Brieftons’ official product page describes ten stainless-steel blades, a large suction pad with an on/off lever, a catch container with lid, and BPA-free plastic construction.

Food Network reports dimensions of 11.8 by 8.3 by 6 inches and a weight of 3.5 pounds. Those specifications make the Brieftons substantially more suitable for a permanent countertop spot than for a small drawer. Food Network also cautions that hand-cranking can be strenuous, especially when the vegetable is hard or the batch is large.

Choose the Brieftons if: you want the widest range of manual cuts, reliable counter stability, and the best cited performance for vegetables such as sweet potatoes. The Brieftons 10-Blade Spiralizer is the most natural fit for that job.

Is the Hamilton Beach Electric Spiralizer best for large batches?

The Hamilton Beach Electric Spiralizer is the best spiralizer for large batches or for cooks who do not want to hand-crank vegetables. The motor works similarly to a food processor: install the cone-shaped blade, guide the produce with the pusher, and let the machine create the spirals.

According to Food Network’s 2026 review, finished spirals drop into an included 6-cup bowl rather than onto the counter. The bowl is useful when preparing several vegetables or when the spiralized food needs to be collected before cooking. The unit measures 7.8 by 6.7 by 9.5 inches, weighs 3.7 pounds, and has three blades.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Removable Hamilton Beach parts are reported as dishwasher-safe and nest inside the unit for storage. The motorized body is not submersible, so cleaning requires wiping the body separately and keeping water away from the motor housing. The trade-off for electric convenience is less blade variety than the Brieftons and the need to accommodate another appliance on the counter.

Choose the Hamilton Beach if: speed, reduced hand effort, and a dedicated collection bowl matter more than having ten different blade options. Food Network’s tested Hamilton Beach review supports that use case, but current price and stock should be checked before purchase.

Is the OXO 3-Blade Hand-Held Spiralizer best for a small kitchen?

The OXO 3-Blade Hand-Held Spiralizer is the best compact spiralizer for small kitchens, occasional use, dorm rooms, and anyone who wants a tool that can live in a drawer. Food Network reports that the three cutters are color-coded and that the food-holder cap gives extra support as the vegetable becomes short.

The handheld design is particularly useful when storage space is more important than speed. OXO’s current product page says the open-blade design accommodates long vegetables such as zucchini and round vegetables such as potatoes. The food holder protects hands near the end of the vegetable and doubles as a storage cap.

Food Network reports dimensions of 3.25 by 3.25 by 5 inches and a weight of 8.48 ounces. OXO’s current official page lists different dimensions—3.5 by 3 by 3 inches—so the discrepancy should be treated as a difference between source versions rather than silently combined. OXO currently describes the handheld tool as stainless steel and dishwasher-safe.

Good Housekeeping’s January 11, 2024 laboratory review provides a useful size limitation: the OXO handheld worked particularly well on produce no wider than 2.5 inches. Food Network also warns that manual spiraling takes more time and can become strenuous. A handheld spiralizer is therefore better for one or two servings than for a large meal-preparation session.

Choose the OXO if: compact storage, straightforward cleanup, and small quantities matter more than motorized speed. The OXO 3-Blade Hand-Held Spiralizer is the most practical of these four for a crowded kitchen drawer.

Is the KitchenAid Spiralizer Attachment worth it?

The KitchenAid Spiralizer Attachment is worth considering when you already own a compatible KitchenAid stand mixer and want powered preparation without buying a separate countertop motorized appliance. The attachment uses the mixer’s power hub and weight to prepare produce quickly and consistently.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Food Network named the KitchenAid the best mixer attachment and reviewed a configuration with five blades and a storage case. The attachment is designed for people who will use their existing mixer rather than for shoppers seeking a standalone spiralizer. Someone without a compatible KitchenAid stand mixer would need to buy the mixer as well, making this a poor value for spiralizing alone.

Current KitchenAid information requires careful SKU checking. KitchenAid’s official page for the 7 Blade Spiralizer Plus with Peel, Core and Slice describes a current seven-blade model with ten accessories, including spiralizing, slicing, peeling, coring, and produce-skewering accessories. The Food Network review’s five-blade configuration and the current seven-blade product are not necessarily the same SKU.

KitchenAid says the attachment connects to any household KitchenAid stand mixer power hub. The KitchenAid operating manual instructs users to secure the attachment with the attachment knob and use the provided skewer. Removable blades and accessories may go on the dishwasher’s top rack, while the attachment body should be wiped clean and must not be washed or immersed.

Which spiralizer is easiest to clean?

The easiest spiralizer to clean depends on whether you prefer dishwasher-safe removable parts or the fewest parts to wash. Food Network reports that Hamilton Beach removable parts are dishwasher-safe, OXO’s handheld is dishwasher-safe, and KitchenAid removable accessories are top-rack dishwasher-safe. The Hamilton Beach motor body and KitchenAid attachment body must be cleaned separately and must not be immersed.

Model Cleaning information Storage detail
Brieftons Food Network reports hand-washing in its evaluation; a small cleaning brush is included. Blade caddy and noodle-storage canister.
Hamilton Beach Removable parts are reported dishwasher-safe; motor body is not submersible. Removable parts nest inside the unit.
OXO handheld OXO lists dishwasher-safe construction. Cutters stack and the food holder works as a storage cap.
KitchenAid Removable blades and accessories are top-rack dishwasher-safe; wipe the main body. Storage case included in the cited configurations.

Thin vegetable strands can lodge around blades, so cleaning soon after use is preferable regardless of model. Dishwasher-safe does not mean every component is dishwasher-safe: motor housings and attachment bodies require the product’s stated hand-cleaning method.

Are handheld or countertop spiralizers better?

Handheld spiralizers are better for limited quantities and minimal storage, while countertop spiralizers are better for stability, speed, and repeated use. The OXO handheld is the compact choice, whereas the Brieftons provides more control and blade variety and the Hamilton Beach removes most manual effort.

Priority Best match Why
Small drawer or occasional use OXO handheld Compact, lightweight, and easy to store.
Hard vegetables Brieftons Stable suction and side-handle support; strongest cited sweet-potato result.
Large batches Hamilton Beach Electric motor and 6-cup collection bowl.
Existing KitchenAid setup KitchenAid attachment Uses the stand mixer’s motor without adding a separate motorized base.
Many cut styles Brieftons Ten labeled blades in the cited review.

What did the independent testing cover?

Food Network reports that it reviewed manuals, assembly, care, extra functions, zucchini, sweet potatoes, spiral consistency, required manual pressure, waste, hand-washing, and dishwasher cleaning of heat-safe parts while assessing 10 countertop, handheld, and electric spiralizers. Its testers wrote, “We assembled 10 different countertop, hand-held and electric spiralizers, to assess the benefits (and downsides) of each type and the performance of multiple brands.”

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Food Network also stated, “Next, we attempted to spiralize both zucchini and sweet potatoes, to see how they handled both hard and soft veggies, how consistent the spirals were, how much manual pressure was required, and how much waste was left afterward.” Those distinctions matter because zucchini is relatively easy to spiralize, while sweet potatoes and other dense vegetables demand more stability and force.

Good Housekeeping’s January 11, 2024 laboratory comparison evaluated ease of use, cleaning, soft and hard produce, waste, sturdiness, and storage. Good Housekeeping selected an OXO tabletop spiralizer as Best Overall, the OXO handheld as Best Handheld, Paderno as Best for Easy Storage, and KitchenAid as Best Spiralizer Attachment. Those awards are useful independent context, but the four recommendations here follow Food Network’s current title-aligned set.

How should you choose a spiralizer?

  1. Choose the produce first. For zucchini and other soft vegetables, all four formats can be useful. For sweet potatoes, prioritize a stable countertop design and reduced hand strain.
  2. Decide whether you want manual or powered preparation. Handheld and crank models require physical turning; Hamilton Beach and KitchenAid use motors to reduce or remove hand-cranking.
  3. Match blade variety to your cooking. The Brieftons has ten blades in the cited review, Hamilton Beach and OXO handheld have three each, and Food Network’s KitchenAid configuration has five. Current KitchenAid models may differ.
  4. Plan where the output will go. Hamilton Beach includes a 6-cup bowl. Handheld output is managed directly by the user, while a countertop manual model may need a tray or bowl placed underneath.
  5. Measure storage and counter space. The OXO handheld is the smallest option in the cited dimensions; the Brieftons is a larger countertop appliance with a blade caddy.
  6. Check the exact product configuration. KitchenAid blade counts and included accessories vary by model, and current prices, stock, and retailer availability can change after publication.

Bottom line

Buy the Brieftons 10-Blade Spiralizer for the strongest all-around combination of blade variety, stability, and cited hard-vegetable performance. Buy the Hamilton Beach Electric Spiralizer for motorized batch preparation, the OXO 3-Blade Hand-Held Spiralizer for a small kitchen, or the KitchenAid Spiralizer Attachment if a compatible KitchenAid stand mixer is already part of your kitchen.
