Cyber Monday 2024 was December 2, 2024. The prices below are historical offers and are no longer presented as live deals. For construction sites, rental properties, homes, and small businesses, the best value depended on coverage, power, storage, installation, and subscription costs—not simply the largest advertised discount.
The strongest documented offers included the Arlo Pro 5S 2K three-camera bundle for $200, Blink Outdoor 4 for $40, Reolink Argus PT 4K with solar panel for $100, and Reolink Duo 3 PoE for $126. These prices were reported on December 2, 2024, and should be treated as an archived deal record.

Which deal made sense for each buyer?
For construction sites and large properties
The Reolink Duo 3 PoE was the most installation-oriented option. Power over Ethernet can provide both network connectivity and power through one cable, making it suitable for a permanent building, workshop, warehouse, or jobsite office where Ethernet can be run safely. It is not the simplest choice for a renter or temporary installation. A PoE camera also needs compatible network hardware and a recording destination if continuous local footage is required.
#1 Best Overall
- ENDLESS POWER FROM SOLAR ENERGY: Just 45 minutes of direct sunlight powers the camera for a full day of use, while the built-in battery lasts up to 180 days on a single charge during cloudy days. Solar charging requires temperatures above 32°F.△
- EASY WIRE-FREE INSTALLATION: Place the Tapo SolarCam C402 KIT where you need it without relying on nearby outlets. Install the camera and solar panel together or separately using the included 13 ft cable for flexible placement.
- PRIORITIZE WHAT MATTERS: Set activity zones to monitor specific areas for motion or people. Free person and motion detection helps reduce unwanted alerts and notifies you when activity is detected.
- VERSATILE VIDEO STORAGE: Store footage locally via a microSD card (up to 512GB)* or via cloud with a Tapo Care cloud subscription. Tailor your security to suit your needs, whether indoor or outdoor, you have the storage option you need.
- FULL-COLOR 1080P, DAY AND NIGHT: See clearly in low light with a large-aperture lens and built-in spotlights. Capture full-color night vision up to 30 ft away to monitor for possible intruders or motion.
The five-camera Blink Outdoor 4 system offered a much simpler way to cover gates, driveways, equipment areas, and entrances. Its low historical price worked out to $32 per camera before considering storage or subscription costs. That calculation should not be confused with five-camera simultaneous recording: battery cameras are generally designed around motion-triggered clips rather than guaranteed 24/7 recording.
For renters or temporary coverage
The single Blink Outdoor 4 was easier to install than a wired PoE system and was positioned as a budget wireless outdoor camera. Its advertised features included 1080p live view, infrared night vision, two-way audio, enhanced motion detection, and battery life of up to two years. The battery estimate was a manufacturer claim, not a guarantee; frequent motion, cold weather, weak Wi-Fi, and higher recording activity can reduce runtime.
For locations without an outlet
The Reolink Argus PT 4K combined wire-free installation, 4K/8MP video, color vision, smart detection, multiple recording options, and a 6W solar panel. It was the strongest documented solar deal, but “solar-powered” does not mean maintenance-free. The panel needs suitable placement, and the camera can still lose charge during shaded, cloudy, or high-activity periods.
For indoor monitoring
The five-camera Blink Indoor system was aimed at multi-room monitoring and included customizable motion alerts and two-way audio. It made more sense for a large home, rental property, or small office than for an exterior construction site. For one room, the deal archive also reported a Blink Mini 2 at $19 and a Wyze camera at $10, but the available records do not identify enough exact model, retailer, former-price, or offer-term information to verify those as complete deal recommendations.

- Outdoor 4 is our most affordable wireless smart security camera yet, offering up to two-year battery life for around-the-clock peace of mind. Local storage not included with Sync Module Core.
- See and speak from the Blink app — Experience 1080p HD live view, infrared night vision, and crisp two-way audio.
- Two-year battery life — Set up in minutes and get up to two years of power with the included AA Energizer lithium batteries and a Blink Sync Module Core.
- Enhanced motion detection — Be alerted to motion faster from your smartphone with dual-zone, enhanced motion detection.
- Person detection — Get alerts when a person is detected with embedded computer vision (CV) as part of an optional Blink Subscription Plan (sold separately).
For premium features
The Arlo Pro 5S 2K three-camera bundle offered 2K video, color night vision, indoor/outdoor flexibility, and enhanced zoom at a historically reported $200. It was the most compelling documented premium bundle, but the hardware discount does not eliminate recurring costs. Buyers should check the plan for the exact camera generation and confirm which recording, person, vehicle, package, or other smart-detection features remain available without payment.
For pan-and-tilt coverage
The TP-Link Tapo 2K outdoor camera included 360-degree horizontal coverage, a 130-degree vertical range, color night vision, two-way audio, and an alarm. Pan-and-tilt is useful when a user actively wants to reposition the view, but a fixed wide-angle camera may be better for continuously watching a doorway. A moving lens can be pointed away when an event occurs.
Deals reported but not fully verifiable from the surviving record
Tom’s Guide’s November 2024 deal archive recorded a Wyze camera at $10, a Blink Mini 2 at $19, Arlo discounts reaching 77%, and broader Ring, Blink, and eufy promotions. The accessible record does not establish the exact model, retailer, bundle contents, or complete terms for each item. Those entries should therefore be treated as historical deal signals, not precise buying recommendations.
An eufy SoloCam S220 was also reported at $230 with a $100 saving at Best Buy, according to the available eufy deal reference. Because the accessible information does not establish whether this was a single camera or a bundle, its exact former price and included equipment cannot be confirmed here.

- One Unified Security System, Powered by 1st-Gen aosuBase: 32GB of local storage comes ready to use, holding about 120 days of loop recording. No subscription required. Connect up to 4 cameras to one base with a stable wireless connection and centralized local storage. Recordings saved to aosuBase are event-based, triggered by detected activity.
- Multi-Cam Live View for All-at-Once Monitoring: Watch up to four live camera feeds simultaneously in the aosu app and monitor multiple areas on one screen without opening each camera individually. Live View is available through the aosu app only; the base does not support HDMI or TV output.
- 360° Coverage with Pan, Tilt, and Smart Auto Tracking: Pan and tilt to see all around your property. When activity is detected, the camera automatically follows people and other movement to keep the action in view while recording, giving you a more complete view of what happens around your home.
- 2K (3MP) Clarity with Full-Color Night Vision: Capture clear details in 2K and zoom in up to 6x for a closer look. Built-in spotlights enable full-color night vision, helping you see important color details like clothing and vehicles after dark. For more discreet monitoring, switch to infrared mode for black-and-white night vision without visible lighting.
- Quick Setup with a Pre-Paired System: Connect aosuBase to your router's LAN port with the included Ethernet cable. Cameras connect wirelessly to aosuBase instead of your home Wi-Fi. The system comes pre-paired, so simply power on the cameras and complete setup in the app without pairing each camera one by one. The cameras are designed to work with the included aosuBase, and add-on cameras connect through the base as well.
How to judge a security-camera deal
1. Choose the right installation type
- Indoor: Usually intended for sheltered locations and often easiest to power from an outlet.
- Outdoor: Requires weather protection, suitable mounting, and a power adapter rated for the installation.
- Battery: Easiest to install but requires charging or battery replacement and is usually optimized for motion clips.
- Solar-assisted: Reduces charging but depends on sunlight, placement, weather, and activity.
- PoE: Best for permanent installations where Ethernet can be run; it requires more planning than Wi-Fi.
- Doorbell: Must fit the door frame and may depend on existing wiring, a chime, or a particular mounting arrangement.
2. Compare storage, not just camera price
Live viewing may work without a subscription while cloud recording, longer video history, person detection, vehicle detection, package alerts, or pet detection may require payment. Local-storage designs can use a microSD card, hub, base station, or NVR. Check whether storage is included, whether recording is continuous or motion-triggered, and how long footage is retained.
A cheap camera with a required monthly plan can cost more over one or three years than a costlier camera with usable local storage. Do not call a product “subscription-free” unless the specific recording and detection features you need work without recurring payment.
3. Treat advertised discounts carefully
A 60% discount is calculated from the advertised former price, which may be a reference price rather than the product’s normal lowest market price. The $200 Arlo bundle and $40 Blink Outdoor 4 were attractive historical prices, but the percentage alone does not prove either was the year’s best value. Compare bundle contents, storage, required accessories, and ongoing plans.
4. Match resolution to the scene
1080p is often adequate for basic alerts and nearby activity. 2K can provide more detail, while 4K or higher can help with distant scenes but uses more bandwidth and storage. Resolution alone does not guarantee identification: lens quality, lighting, field of view, compression, camera height, and placement matter just as much.

5. Check Wi-Fi and weather conditions
An outdoor camera can fail because the signal is weak at the mounting location. Test Wi-Fi coverage before drilling or mounting, particularly around detached garages, gates, workshops, and construction-site perimeters. For outdoor use, confirm the IP weather-resistance rating, operating temperature, mounting requirements, direct-sun exposure, and whether the power supply is outdoor-rated.
6. Secure the account and protect privacy
Enable two-factor authentication where available, use a unique password, review account permissions, and update firmware. Indoor cameras deserve additional care: use privacy modes or physical shutters where offered, and avoid placing cameras in bedrooms or other sensitive areas. A visible camera can deter some unwanted activity but can also be tampered with, so secure mounting and overlapping coverage may be worthwhile.
Bottom line
As a historical Cyber Monday 2024 record, the best documented choices were the Arlo Pro 5S bundle for premium multi-camera coverage, Blink Outdoor 4 for low-cost wireless coverage, Reolink Argus PT 4K for solar-assisted outdoor use, Reolink Duo 3 PoE for permanent high-resolution installations, and Tapo’s 2K pan/tilt camera for movable coverage. None of these old prices should be treated as current in 2026. For any present purchase, verify the exact model, bundle, retailer price, storage method, subscription terms, power requirements, and weather rating before ordering.
