1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesTCL’s NXTFRAME is a real art-focused 4K television, but in the United States it is now sold as the NXTVISION A300W. Its matte screen, magnetic frame and included flush wall mount make it a convincing design choice; independent testing found weaker brightness, HDR impact and black levels than stronger alternatives. As of August 18, 2026, listed U.S. prices started at $699.99, though availability varied by size and retailer.
What happened to the NXTFRAME name?
TCL launched the NXTFRAME in 2024 as a conventional television designed to resemble framed art when idle. The U.S. A300W family was renamed NXTVISION in 2025, according to RTINGS’ review. Retailers and reviews may still call it NXTFRAME, so check the model number: the U.S. sizes are 55A300W, 65A300W, 75A300W and 85A300W. RTINGS tested the 65A300W and says its findings apply to the other listed sizes, but TCL cautions that features can vary by screen size.

This is not a dedicated digital picture frame. It is a 4K QLED smart TV with Google TV, art mode and a frame-inspired design, so it can switch between displaying artwork and showing ordinary TV, films, sports or games.
How does it create the framed-art look?
The A300W pairs an ultra-matte screen with an off-white bezel and a magnetic light wood-look frame. Art mode can display artwork, landscapes, personal photos and AI-generated images. The matte surface reduces direct reflections and gives images a more canvas-like appearance, while the included flush wall mount is meant to keep the set close to the wall. TCL describes the design and glare performance on its NXTVISION product page; glare reduction does not mean the TV becomes bright enough for every sunlit room.
#1 Best Overall
- Art Library & AI Art: The TCL NXTVISION Series art TV transforms an ordinary room into a gallery filled with art, memories, and personal style. Explore 350+ classic masterpieces and 100,000+ AI-generated artworks, or display your own photos when you’re not watching TV. Change the artwork to match the season, the occasion, or simply your mood—all with no subscription required.
- Ultra-Slim, Seamless Wall Design: Bring home the refined look of framed art with an all-in-one design that is just 1.1 inches thin. The included Flush Wall Mount keeps the picture frame TV close to your wall, while integrated components and thoughtful cable management minimize bulky boxes and visible clutter. Sleek from every angle, it blends naturally into the room.
- Off-White Bezel with Light Wood Frame: Thoughtfully designed to complement the way you live, this 55-inch TV pairs a soft off-white metal bezel with an included light wood magnetic frame, adding warmth without overwhelming the room. From modern minimalism to relaxed, nature-inspired interiors, it blends effortlessly into your décor. Simply snap on the frame to give your wall an instantly more polished look.
- Ultra Matte Display: Enjoy the artwork on your TV—not the reflections around it. The Ultra Matte screen minimizes glare from bright windows, overhead lights, and afternoon sunlight, allowing color, texture, and fine detail to remain the focus. Whether you’re displaying art or settling in for a movie, the picture remains clear and comfortable throughout the day.
- QLED 4K with HDR ULTRA: See your favorite art and entertainment come alive with brilliant color, striking contrast, and remarkable detail. QLED Quantum Dot technology, Dolby Vision IQ, and HDR10+ add depth and realism, while the TCL AiPQ Pro Processor intelligently refines every scene. From subtle brushstrokes to sweeping cinematic landscapes, this smart TV brings every image to life at its most expressive.
The screen’s finish is a design trade-off, not a guarantee that video will look like a painting. Matte treatment can reduce perceived contrast, and it does not replace the deep blacks or strong highlights sought for cinematic viewing.
What does it cost, and can you still buy it?

For context, TCL’s 2024 launch announcement listed original NXTFRAME prices of $1,499.99 for 55 inches, $1,999.99 for 65 inches, $2,499.99 for 75 inches and $3,999.99 for 85 inches. Those are historical launch MSRPs, not current street prices. At the time of the August 2026 listings, the smaller models were substantially below those launch figures, making current pricing more persuasive than the original “buy one now” framing. How good is it for everyday viewing?
Reflections and general viewing
RTINGS found the matte finish handles direct reflections well, and described the TV’s image processing as solid. The QLED panel can produce more vivid color than a basic LED set. These strengths suit a room where the TV’s appearance matters and ambient light is moderate or controlled.
Brightness, HDR and dark scenes
The larger concern is picture performance. RTINGS found poor SDR and HDR brightness, so the screen is a weak choice for a very bright room and HDR highlights lack impact. It has no local dimming, which limits black levels and dark-scene contrast. Color accuracy was also mediocre, so viewers seeking a particularly faithful filmmaker-intended image should look elsewhere. A matte surface can tame reflections, but it cannot compensate for insufficient brightness.

- [A TV your room won't resent — slim metal frame, 1.1 inches thin, hangs flush against the wall straight out of the box] This picture frame TV was designed for the wall first. A black metal front frame and ultra-slim 1.1" profile sit nearly flush with your wall using the included wall mount — no gap, no black plastic bulk, no afterthought. For living rooms where the details matter, the hidden cable management design lets it blend in naturally, rather than standing out awkwardly.
- [Put your world on the big screen — play your own music albums and photo collections straight from USB] Plug in a USB drive and this wall art tv becomes yours in a way streaming never quite manages — your own playlist filling the room, your holiday photos on a 55" screen, your kids' recital on something that actually does it justice. Supports MP3, WMA, JPEG, PNG, HEIF, and more. With exclusive low-blue-light and low-flicker technology, your family can enjoy extended viewing without eye fatigue.
- [Colors that look honest, contrast that holds up — QLED 4K with Dolby Vision IQ and 93% DCI-P3] Quantum Dot color covers 93% of the DCI-P3 cinema color space — skin tones look human, landscapes look real, and nothing is oversaturated. Dolby Vision IQ reads the ambient light in your room and adjusts the picture automatically, so a bright afternoon and a dark movie night both look exactly right without touching a single setting.
- [By day, it serves as your personal art gallery for elegant ambient display. By night, it evolves into a thrilling gaming kingdom for the whole family] Powered by premium FreeSync Premium Pro technology, it immerses you and your family in a vibrant, fluid gaming wonderland full of joy and magic. Its 240Hz motion acceleration also puts you and your friends right at the center of the soccer field, delivering a front-row viewing experience for all the big games.
- [Nothing gets left behind — AV composite input works with legacy consoles, DVD players, and cameras] This art TV includes a composite AV input via 3.5mm adapter, so older game consoles, DVD or VHS players, and camcorders connect without adapters or compromise. Pair that with 4 HDMI ports (one with eARC for your soundbar), 2 USB ports, and optical audio out — and every device you own has a home, whether it's a decade old or brand new.

TCL lists 4K QLED, Google TV, an AIPQ PRO processor, Dolby Atmos support, art mode, AI art and a flush wall mount. Its page advertises up to 144Hz native refresh and Game Accelerator 240, but says Game Accelerator 240 depends on specific resolutions and compatible hardware; features also vary by screen size. Read the specifications for the exact size rather than assuming every A300W variant has identical capabilities.
RTINGS reports that the tested model has four HDMI ports, including two with HDMI 2.1 bandwidth, supports 4K at 144Hz and 1080p at 240Hz for gaming, and provides advanced Dolby and DTS audio passthrough through eARC. Those test-specific details should be checked against the particular size and devices in your setup. The high refresh-rate figures do not mean motion is best in class: RTINGS found slow pixel transitions, making it a less compelling dedicated gaming display despite its modern inputs and refresh support.

What should you know before mounting it?
The included flush wall mount supports the gallery-like appearance, but it does not make installation effortless. A large panel needs secure support and careful alignment; cable routing and the positions of studs and power outlets affect how clean the finished wall looks. The 65-inch version is listed at about 1.1 inches deep, but a slim profile does not remove the practical work of mounting and connecting it.
- Check wall construction and stud locations, and confirm that the mount can be secured as required.
- Plan where power and signal cables will run before positioning the TV.
- Confirm whether the selected package includes the stand you need. Table feet are not necessarily included; Best Buy’s listing says its stand is sold separately.
- Check current accessory availability if you need tabletop legs or a movable floor stand. TCL’s 2024 announcement gave launch MSRPs of $149.99 for matching table feet and $699.99 for a movable floor stand; those historical prices do not establish 2026 availability.
If you are not comfortable handling and aligning a large wall-mounted panel, consider professional installation rather than assuming the flush mount will be a quick DIY job. The Best Buy 65-inch listing includes product and accessory information.
Is NXTFRAME Pro the same TV package?
No. TCL’s 2024 launch announcement positioned NXTFRAME Pro as a separate, more expensive configuration, with a Bang & Olufsen/TCL-engineered audio system and launch prices from $1,999.99 to $4,999.99. It also discussed separate table feet and a movable floor stand. Do not assume the standard A300W listing includes Pro audio hardware or those accessories; verify the exact product package.

How does it compare with Hisense CanvasTV and Samsung The Frame?
| Alternative | Where it has an edge | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| Hisense CanvasTV | RTINGS found it brighter and generally more suitable for daytime viewing than the TCL. | Choose based on the exact size, price and platform you want; no universal price comparison is established here. |
| Samsung The Frame | RTINGS found it brighter and more color-accurate, with a more established art-TV proposition. | It is generally more expensive, although promotions can narrow the gap. RTINGS found the TCL may have lower input lag for gaming. |
| TCL A3G Designer Series (2026) | Best Buy listed the 55-inch at $499.99 and 65-inch at $649.99 on August 18, 2026, with a newer TCL art-TV design and similar Google TV, art-library, AI-art and flush-mount concepts. | Those are dated retailer prices, and the A3G is a different product line; compare exact features, sizes and styling before choosing. |
RTINGS’ comparative findings are in its NXTFRAME review; the dated retailer price observations for competing models were on Best Buy’s lifestyle-TV page. The A3G deserves particular attention before buying an A300W: its observed 2026 prices were lower than the listed A300W prices for the comparable 55- and 65-inch sizes, though the two lines should not be presumed identical.
Who should buy the TCL NXTVISION A300W?
- Choose it if the TV will be a prominent part of a room and its framed-art appearance matters more than leading picture performance.
- It makes more sense in moderate or controlled light, where its limited brightness is less troublesome.
- It suits buyers who want a matte screen and included flush wall mount, and who are prepared to verify the stand or installation needs.
- Casual gamers may appreciate the refresh-rate and input features, provided they do not expect the fastest pixel transitions.
- It is easier to recommend at a substantial discount from its 2024 launch pricing than near its original MSRP.
Who should skip it?
- Skip it for a bright, sunlit room if you need strong daytime brightness.
- Choose a different TV if deep blacks, impactful HDR or especially accurate color are priorities; the A300W is not an OLED-like contrast experience.
- Competitive gamers should weigh the slow pixel transitions rather than buying on refresh-rate numbers alone.
- Look elsewhere if you need a complete tabletop setup out of the box or prefer a newer platform without checking the 2026 A3G first.
Verdict
The NXTFRAME—now NXTVISION A300W in the U.S.—is a genuine design-first television, not a picture-quality leader. Its matte display, magnetic frame, art mode and flush wall mount make a strong case for a carefully chosen living-room installation. Buy it for that look if the price and size are right; for brighter viewing, stronger contrast or a newer TCL design, compare the CanvasTV, Samsung The Frame and A3G before committing.
