Commercial Real Estate reported a total of 10,000 square metres across the two parts of the development, with multiple office floors and amenities including short-term executive suites, fine dining, a crèche, pool, terrace and gym. Those particulars and the area figure are from its 9 October 2025 report; the official register’s summary does not enumerate them.
What happens to the existing buildings?
ArchitectureAu and Commercial Real Estate reported that several existing Outram Street buildings were proposed for demolition, including a Federation-era house built in 1904. Commercial Real Estate described public concerns about the project’s scale, West Perth’s heritage character and the loss of the older house. The reported demolition plans form part of the proposal’s neighbourhood context; the sources cited here do not establish what has since happened on site.

What were the reported approval timeline and public response?
Commercial Real Estate’s 9 October 2025 coverage said more than two dozen of 70 public submissions opposed the proposal. It also reported that the application spent 184 days with authorities, compared with a 120-day pathway guarantee. These are figures reported by that outlet, not counts or findings independently confirmed by the official register.
The West Australian reported that approval conditions included starting work within four years or seeking approval again. That is a media account of the condition; consult the determination notice for its precise legal wording and any applicable details.
