The company said the value would be included in its U.S. third-quarter 2026 order bookings. Work began in April 2026 and was scheduled to finish in the first quarter of 2028.
What Skanska announced
The contract is additional work for an existing client, whom Skanska did not identify. The company described the project only as “a tech facility in USA.” Its announcement does not specify the site, facility type, detailed construction scope or technology involved. It therefore does not establish that the project is a data center.
Skanska put the contract value at USD 138 million, approximately SEK 1.3 billion. The amount is the announced value and currency equivalent, not an independent market estimate. The company said it would be recorded in U.S. order bookings for the third quarter of 2026. Skanska’s October 6, 2026 announcement lists no remarks from a named company representative.
Schedule and order-booking context
Skanska said work began in April 2026, with completion scheduled for the first quarter of 2028. Its order-bookings page also lists an earlier U.S. tech-facility entry dated April 10, 2026, valued at SEK 1.3 billion and attributed to an existing client under the first quarter of 2026. The listing does not establish the contractual or project relationship between that entry and the additional contract announced in October.
