What does the warranty cover?
The cited U.S. limited warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship during normal household, noncommercial use. It also describes separate terms for the refrigerator and certain components, so the part involved in a failure matters when assessing a claim.

The cited limited warranty is for the original consumer purchaser, with proof of purchase, for products bought and used in the United States and installed, operated, and maintained according to the product instructions. Samsung may require the original dated bill of sale. The warranty directs customers to contact Samsung for problem determination and service procedures; warranty service must be performed by an authorized Samsung service center.

- Locate the dated receipt. Keep the original bill of sale or other dated proof of purchase; Samsung’s limited warranty says it may be required.
- Find the model-specific documents. Use Samsung’s warranty and support page and locate the manual and warranty for your refrigerator’s model and purchase date. The general coverage summary is not a substitute for those terms.
- Contact Samsung before arranging repair. Ask Samsung to determine whether the issue may qualify and to explain the required service steps. The U.S. support page lists 1-800-726-7864; use the contact options shown there to confirm current assistance.
- Use an authorized service center for warranty work. Confirm any service location, travel charge, or transport arrangement with Samsung before proceeding.
Is Samsung Care+ or a warranty extension available?
Samsung’s U.S. refrigerator page describes Samsung Care+ as optional protection that may be added at checkout, with three-, five-, or seven-year plans. The page lists an extended service contract, dedicated support line, power-surge coverage, and food-loss reimbursement. These are plan features to evaluate, not a guarantee that every plan covers every refrigerator or circumstance. Check the applicable plan documents for price, eligibility, when coverage starts, exclusions, and service terms before buying.

Samsung’s published 2026 home-appliance promotion offered one additional year of parts-and-labor coverage for eligible appliances purchased from participating authorized retailers from January 1 through July 8, 2026. It required an online claim by August 8, 2026, with a receipt and an eligible model.
