What are Samsung’s new Music Studio speakers?
Music Studio 5 and Music Studio 7 are Wi-Fi speakers Samsung presents for music, podcasts and TV audio. Both use the company’s “Dot Design,” associated by Samsung with designer Erwan Bouroullec. Samsung says they can connect over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth and highlights Spotify Tap; setup and service requirements may affect how those features work in practice. Samsung’s CES 2026 announcement describes these as product features.
The design has a circular, cone-inspired front motif, with perforations that Samsung says also serve an acoustic function. The company describes the 5 as using soft resin and forward-focused acoustics; it says the 7 uses metal on visible surfaces other than the rear and perforations around multiple sides. The comparison reflects Samsung’s descriptions in its lineup announcement and design account. It does not show how the speakers sound in a room relative to one another.

Music Studio 5: a more design-led, forward-focused option
Samsung positions the 5 as the smaller, lifestyle-oriented model. Its announcement says waveguide technology helps distribute sound, while its design account emphasizes sound directed forward. Samsung does not claim the 5 has the 7’s specified 3.1.1-channel arrangement or Dolby Atmos support in the cited product descriptions.
Music Studio 7: specified spatial audio in one speaker
Samsung specifies the 7 as 3.1.1-channel and says its sound is directed forward, left, right and upward, with Dolby Atmos support. The company says Waveguide and Pattern Control technologies help keep channels distinct. Jongbae Kim of Samsung’s Sound Lab said: “To create a sense of space from a single device, it is essential to control each channel so that sounds do not blend together. The ‘Waveguide’ and ‘Pattern Control’ technologies applied to Music Studio 7 are core technologies for spatial audio sound.” That is Samsung’s engineering explanation, not independent confirmation of performance. The Samsung Newsroom interview also says development and validation of the 7 took nearly two years.

Will the speakers work with a Samsung TV or create a surround setup?
Samsung describes SpaceFit Sound Pro as adapting audio to room dimensions and Q-Symphony as a way to pair compatible Samsung audio devices with a TV. Compatibility is generation- and model-dependent, so the feature name alone is not enough to confirm that a particular setup will work.
- Samsung’s interview says Q-Symphony requires a compatible Samsung TV from 2022 or later.
- The five-device Q-Symphony configuration described in the interview requires a 2023-or-later Samsung TV and specified later-generation Samsung audio devices.
- Check the exact TV and audio-device model list for the intended configuration before buying. The cited announcement and interview do not establish that every Music Studio speaker can form a surround system with every Samsung TV.
These conditions are described in Samsung’s interview with the product and sound teams. Samsung’s claims about room adaptation and system pairing should not be read as a guarantee of identical results in every room.

What has—and has not—been established about performance and availability?
CES lists Music Studio 7 as a 2026 Innovation Awards Honoree in Audio/Video Components & Accessories. That is an award designation, not independent sound testing. The available product descriptions and award listing do not establish comparative listening results or measured performance for either speaker. The CES listing identifies the 7 as an honoree.
Price and sale status depend on region and retailer. Samsung Canada’s page identifies the Music Studio 7 as model HW-LS70H and showed “Not for sale” in the captured page content; that page state does not determine U.S. availability. The cited sources do not verify a current U.S. street price or a universal release date. Check Samsung or a retailer in your region for current listings. - Consider the Music Studio 7 if its specified 3.1.1-channel layout and Dolby Atmos support are the features you are seeking, and verify TV or multi-device compatibility against exact model numbers.
- Treat sound quality as an open question until independent listening tests or measurements are available; the CES award and Samsung’s technology descriptions are not substitutes for those comparisons.
