Roborock Qrevo Plus: Is This Vacuum-and-Mopping Robot Right for Your Home?

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Verdict: The Roborock Qrevo Plus is a strong convenience-focused robot for homes with substantial hard flooring, rugs, children, or pets. Its multifunction dock empties dust, washes and warm-air-dries the two spinning mop pads, and refills the robot’s water tank. LiDAR mapping, structured-light sensing, carpet mop lifting, and Roborock’s FlexiArm edge mop make it substantially more capable than a robot that simply drags a damp cloth.

It is not perfect for every home. The Plus is less persuasive in mostly carpeted houses, homes with persistent clutter, or households expecting one-pass removal of embedded pet hair and dried stains. At the U.S. price signal seen on Roborock’s store on August 16, 2026—$579.99 to $599.99 against a displayed $899.99 reference price—it is attractive when the lower sale price is available. What the Qrevo Plus actually is

The Qrevo Plus is a robot vacuum-and-mop system sold with a large multifunction dock. The robot vacuums with an all-rubber main brush and a claimed maximum suction of 7,000 Pa, then mops with two inward-spinning pads. When it returns, the dock can empty dust, wash the pads, dry them with warm air, and refill the robot’s internal water tank.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Roborock’s U.S. product page also lists LiDAR navigation, Reactive Tech structured-light obstacle avoidance, app control, smart-home integrations, and carpet-sensitive mop lifting. The dock reduces daily chores; it does not eliminate them.

What “Plus” adds

FlexiArm edge mopping

The defining Plus feature is Roborock’s FlexiArm Design. When the robot detects an edge near a wall, furniture, or a table leg, a mop extends outward to bring a spinning pad closer to that boundary. This should reduce the unwashed strip common with fixed mop plates, but it is not a guarantee of perfect corner coverage and it addresses mop reach—not edge vacuuming.

A genuinely automated dock

After a run, the dock can empty the dustbin, wash both pads, dry them with warm air, and replenish the robot’s water supply. You still need to handle the clean- and dirty-water tanks, replace dust bags, clean the wash area, and inspect consumables.

How it compares inside the Qrevo range

Model What Roborock identifies Who should consider it
Qrevo 5,500 Pa claim; no FlexiArm; larger listed dust and water capacities Buyers who find it substantially cheaper and do not need edge mopping. Product page
Qrevo S 7,000 Pa claim, SmartPlan, 80 ml internal, 4 L clean and 3.5 L dirty tanks; no FlexiArm The closest alternative when its discount is large enough to outweigh the missing edge mop.
Qrevo Pro Adds hot-water mop washing and dirty-area detection with smart re-mopping Homes where those upgrades justify the price difference.
Qrevo MaxV Adds more automation, intelligent voice features, remote viewing, and automatic brush and mop lifting Buyers willing to pay for advanced controls and monitoring.

Roborock’s feature distinctions are documented in its Qrevo comparison support page. Retailer-specific QX names should not be assumed to be identical without matching model numbers and hardware.

Vacuuming: capable, but do not read too much into 7,000 Pa

On hard floors, the robot’s repeatable routes and scheduled runs are well suited to fine dust, crumbs, and everyday tracked-in debris. The all-rubber brush is intended to move hair and dirt from floor gaps and carpets. A robot that runs daily can compensate for an average one-pass result by collecting small amounts repeatedly.

Pa measures pressure, not complete cleaning performance. Independent testing of the original Qrevo provides useful family-level context but is not a Qrevo Plus laboratory result: RTINGS found weaker pet-hair performance despite strong automation, while Vacuum Wars reported strong overall cleaning and navigation with obstacle-avoidance limitations. Long hair can still wrap around the single main brush, and corners or baseboards may retain debris even when FlexiArm improves mop reach.

Rank #2
roborock Qrevo Plus Robot Vacuum and Mop with FlexiArm Design Edge Mopping | Auto Mop Washing & Drying, Reactive Tech Obstacle Avoidance, 7,000 Pa Suction, Black (Renewed)
  • All-in-One Multifunctional Dock: The 6-in-1 dock offers hands-free convenience with an automatic mop washing system, dynamic speed, and water flow adjustment for efficient cleaning. A 2.7L dust bag provides up to 7 weeks of hands-free cleaning, while the 4L clean water tank covers 3,552 sqft. The removable dock base is easy to clean, and quick-charge keeps the robot ready for use.
  • Superior Edge Mopping: The Roborock Qrevo Plus' FlexiArm Design extends to clean edges, table legs, walls, and narrow gaps, achieving 98.8% edge coverage with a 1.85mm proximity. It also cleans near the dock for enhanced coverage.
  • Dual Power Cleaning: Dual spinning mops rotate at 200 RPM, with 30 adjustable water flow levels via the app to suit different floors and surfaces. The mop module lifts 10mm to prevent wetting carpets and to allow smooth operation over obstacles.
  • Powerful Suction: With 27% more suction power than the previous model, the Roborock Qrevo Plus removes dust and debris from deep carpets and floor crevices. The main brush speed increases by 10% for maximum cleaning efficiency. The all-rubber spiral brush design prevents tangling, making it ideal for homes with carpets, pet hair and long hair.
  • Reactive Tech Obstacle Avoidance: Driven by structured light technology, the robot achieves millimeter-level precision in obstacle detection and navigation, even in cluttered rooms, preventing collisions and jams.

Expect more manual vacuuming if your home has thick carpet, deeply embedded hair, or frequent large debris. The Plus is best viewed as a daily maintenance cleaner, not a replacement for a full-size vacuum.

Mopping: the reason to buy this model

What the spinning pads do well

Two counter-rotating pads provide active scrubbing rather than wiping with a passive damp cloth. Adjustable water-flow levels in the app and automatic pad washing make the Plus useful for dust film, footprints, kitchen residue, and light spills.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Where manual cleaning remains necessary

Dried, sticky, or heavily soiled patches may require multiple passes or hand treatment. Tech Advisor found the mopping useful for everyday cleaning but not a substitute for manual work on heavy grime or large spills; see its Qrevo Plus review. Inspect pads for odor and residue, and clean the dock so dirty wash water does not create slime or poor drainage.

Water capacity in practical terms

Roborock lists an 80 ml onboard tank, a 4 L clean-water tank, and a 3.5 L dirty-water tank. Its claim of up to 3,552 square feet (330 square meters) per clean-water fill is a manufacturer estimate, not a guarantee for every floor plan, water setting, or soil level.

Carpets, rugs, and moisture-sensitive floors

The robot detects carpet and can lift the mop pads by up to 10 mm according to Roborock’s support comparison. In the app, you can assign carpet-specific strategies and create no-mop zones. Verify the available sequence and carpet settings in your regional app and manual.

Thick or shag rugs, fringe, tassels, loose mats, unstable runners, and very dark surfaces can still cause trouble. Remove delicate rugs or use no-mop zones when necessary. On wood, laminate, and other moisture-sensitive flooring, use conservative water settings and follow the flooring manufacturer’s care instructions first.

Navigation and obstacle avoidance

Mapping and control

PreciSense LiDAR builds repeatable maps for room-by-room, zone, and scheduled cleaning. The app supports no-go zones, invisible walls, multi-floor maps, and targeted areas; Roborock also documents Add Area and Skip Area controls. This is useful when you want the robot to vacuum a hallway, mop a kitchen, or avoid a delicate rug without cleaning the entire floor.

Reactive Tech has limits

Structured-light sensing can detect many larger objects, but it is not the same as camera-based artificial-intelligence recognition. Thin cables, shoelaces, socks, small toys, pet bowls, and pet waste can still be missed or become hazards. Pick up those items before scheduled runs. The camera-free design may appeal to privacy-conscious buyers, but the appliance still relies on the app and cloud-connected services for parts of its control experience.

The Plus requires a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network; 5 GHz-only or restricted-band setups will not work. The Qrevo Plus manual covers network, safety, dock, battery, and approved-cleaning-solution requirements.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Support on Ko-Fi

Dock placement and setup

The dock is 13.38 inches wide, 19.17 inches deep, and 15.94 inches high. Measure a level location near a power outlet with enough open space for the robot to enter and leave, and enough access to lift out both water tanks. Check overhead cabinet clearance before committing to a counter or alcove. Carrying a 25.6-pound robot or dock component between floors is inconvenient, so plan one permanent docking location.

  1. Install the Roborock app and expose a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network during pairing.
  2. Place the dock on a level surface, fill the clean-water tank, and install the dust bag and mop components as directed.
  3. Run an initial mapping cycle with floors cleared of cables, clothing, toys, and pet-related hazards.
  4. Name rooms, set no-go or no-mop zones, choose carpet behavior, and create schedules after the map is saved.
  5. Test a short vacuum-and-mop run before relying on unattended schedules.

Roborock lists Alexa, Google Assistant, and Siri Shortcuts support. Full controls depend on the current app, account, permissions, internet connection, and regional availability.

  • 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗢𝗯𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗰𝗹𝗲 𝗔𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵: Structured light sensors detect and navigate around cables, toys, and furniture legs in real time. Suggests "No-Go Zones" for tricky areas like under chairs to prevent getting stuck—effortless cleaning in cluttered spaces.

Maintenance you still have to do

“Self-cleaning” describes automation at the dock, not zero maintenance. The manual warns against unapproved disinfectants or cleaning solutions; use only products permitted for the exact model.

  • Every few mop runs: Check the dirty-water tank, pad cleanliness, dock residue, and drainage.
  • Weekly or as needed: Remove hair from the main and side brushes, clean the filter and sensors, and keep charging contacts clear.
  • Monthly or when prompted: Remove and wash the detachable dock base and wash channels, then clean filters and contacts thoroughly.
  • As needed: Refill clean water, empty dirty water, replace the dust bag, and change worn or odorous mop pads, filters, brushes, or other consumables.

Neglected wash water and dock channels can develop odor, slime, or drainage problems. The detachable base makes cleaning easier; it does not make cleaning optional.

Pet-owner reality check

Daily automated runs can reduce loose hair and tracked-in debris, and mop lifting separates wet floor care from carpet vacuuming. However, long hair can wrap around the brush, toys and bowls can obstruct routes, and no robot should be trusted with pet accidents. RTINGS’ and Vacuum Wars’ original-Qrevo results are context, not direct Qrevo Plus benchmarks. Homes with heavy shedding and mostly carpet may be better served by a vacuum-focused model with stronger anti-tangle and carpet performance.

Who should buy the Qrevo Plus?

Buy it when

  • Your home has mostly hard floors or a meaningful mix of hard floors and low-pile rugs.
  • You want real automated pad washing, drying, dust emptying, and water refilling.
  • FlexiArm edge mopping matters more than hot-water washing or camera-based recognition.
  • You can provide a large, permanent dock location and a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network.
  • You can keep cables, socks, toys, and pet waste off the floor before runs.
  • The live sale price is near the observed $579.99–$599.99 range and materially better than similarly equipped alternatives.

Skip it when

  • Your home is mostly carpeted or has thick, fringed, unstable rugs.
  • You expect perfect one-pass pet-hair pickup or deep stain removal.
  • Your floors are routinely cluttered and you do not want to pre-clean.
  • You need the strongest available object recognition, hot-water washing, or dirt-detection re-mopping.
  • You have no convenient dock space or do not want to handle tanks, brushes, filters, pads, and dock channels.
  • You require a genuinely offline appliance rather than cloud-connected app control.

Bottom line

The Qrevo Plus is a persuasive mid-to-upper-midrange choice when automated hard-floor mopping is the priority. FlexiArm improves mop reach, while the dock removes much of the repetitive work of daily vacuuming and mopping. It becomes a good value at a substantial discount, but it is not a universal or maintenance-free replacement for a conventional vacuum, mop, or a quick household tidy-up.
