Riverford Gardens was a planned 156-home development on Riverford Road in Pollokshaws, Glasgow. A March 2018 announcement said CCG Homes expected full construction to start that spring; MAST Architects later records the development as completed in 2022.

What was planned at Riverford Gardens?

The 2018 announcement described a private housing development on Riverford Road, comprising 156 homes. The proposed mix was:

  • 40 three- and four-bedroom townhouses
  • 12 three-bedroom semi-detached houses
  • 104 one- and two-bedroom flats

These figures and the planned spring 2018 construction start were reported by Scottish Construction News on 22 March 2018. The start date was a forecast at the time, not a current construction schedule.

How was the development designed and situated?

The announcement highlighted public green space, views of the White Cart River, and access to nearby amenities and transport links. MAST Architects’ project account describes the site beside Auldhouse Park and a landscape-led approach to public and communal spaces.

The architect lists Riverford Gardens as completed in 2022. Its account describes the scheme as private sale; it does not establish current prices, availability, or occupancy.

Who developed the scheme, and what recognition did it receive?

CCG Homes was named as the developer in the 2018 announcement. The company’s heritage page records Riverford Gardens awards in three successive years: Best Small Family Home in 2019, House of the Year in 2020, and Large Development of the Year in 2021.

At the time of the launch, CCG director Calum Murray said the company’s credentials had given it confidence to relaunch the CCG Homes brand and the development, which he described as set to be “one of the largest private housing developments in Glasgow.” That was the developer’s characterization in 2018, rather than an independently established citywide ranking. The statement appears in the original announcement.
