Verdict: The Philips 3000 Series Dual Basket is an excellent choice for couples and small households that regularly cook a main dish and a side at the same time. Its unequal drawers, independent controls and synchronized finish times are genuinely useful. But it is not the automatic “king of air fryers”: shoppers wanting two equal baskets, one large cooking surface, smart features or a lower price may get more from Ninja or Cosori.
What is the Philips 3000 Series Dual Basket?
The Philips 3000 Series Dual Basket is a two-drawer air fryer with a larger basket for mains and a smaller basket for sides, snacks or single portions. Philips lists a total capacity of 9 litres, marketed in the U.S. as 9.5 quarts; another Philips sales page uses 9.6 quarts. Those figures describe combined volume, not one uninterrupted 9-litre cooking cavity.

The U.S. model most commonly referenced is the NA350/00, but related models include NA351/00 and regional versions such as NA352/00. Check the model number, voltage, plug, warranty region and included accessories before buying. The U.K. NA352/00, for example, is a 240-volt model and should not be treated as electrically interchangeable with a U.S. appliance. See the RTINGS model comparison and the Philips U.S. product page.

The Philips’s defining choice is its asymmetrical layout. The larger drawer suits chicken, fish, vegetables or a larger portion of fries. The smaller drawer is better for a side dish, a snack or one person’s serving. This makes the appliance particularly practical for a couple cooking dinner together: salmon in one drawer, broccoli in the other; chicken tenders alongside potatoes; or a main course paired with a smaller portion of frozen food.
#1 Best Overall
- SMART FINISH & MATCH COOK: DualZone Technology allows you to choose between the Smart Finish feature, which unlocks cooking 2 foods 2 ways that finish at the same time, and the and a Match Cook button to easily copy settings across zones for full 8-qt capacity.
- 6-IN-1 FUNCTIONALITY: Includes 6 versatile cooking programs: Air Fry, Air Broil, Roast, Bake, Reheat, and Dehydrate. The baskets can be washed in the dishwasher or by hand.
- XL CAPACITY: The 8-quart air fryer capacity lets you fit mains and sides at the same time for making quick family meals, or up to 4 lbs. of French fries or chicken wings.
- SEPARATE HEATING ZONES: 2 independent 4-quart zones have their own cooking baskets, cyclonic fans, and rapid heaters.
- EASY CLEANING: Easy-to-clean baskets and dishwasher-safe crisper plates.
Each drawer can use its own temperature and cooking time. The synchronization function delays one zone where necessary so both foods finish together. That does not make the foods cook identically or guarantee identical texture. A thick chicken breast still needs a doneness check, while delicate vegetables may finish sooner than a dense frozen food.
The trade-off is flexibility. The smaller drawer is not a second full-size basket. If you want to cook two large mains, two equal portions or a wide, flat food, a symmetrical Ninja design or a single large basket may be better.
Capacity: useful, but not as simple as “9.5 quarts”
Philips advertises 9 litres, or approximately 9.5 quarts in the U.S. That is ample for many meals for two or three people and can handle a larger meal for four when the portions and food shapes cooperate. It does not mean that every food can be spread across 9.5 quarts of usable, flat cooking surface.
- One main and one side: the appliance is well matched to this use.
- Two large mains: the smaller drawer may become the limitation.
- Large flat foods: divided drawers can be less convenient than one broad basket.
- Large batches: overcrowding can reduce browning and require a second batch.
Philips regional material describes capacity claims including up to 1.5 kg of Brussels sprouts or a 1.5 kg chicken in one basket. Treat those as regional manufacturer specifications, not a universal promise for every model, recipe or practical serving size.
Cooking performance
Independent testing from Tom’s Guide found convincing temperature control and good results with broccoli, chicken tenders and bacon. The reviewer also found that frozen fries needed longer than expected and required additional cooking time. That is a useful reality check: the presets are starting points, not guarantees.

- VERSATILE COOKING OPTIONS: Dual zone air fryer technology gives you the flexibility to cook different dishes simultaneously, or to easily switch from one basket to the other

- WIDE TEMPERATURE RANGE: Digital air fryer dual basket temperature settings from 200-450°F allow you to cook at low and high heat for food just the way you want it
- HEALTHY FOOD PREP: Enjoy all your favorite fried foods without sacrificing flavor or quality; this dual basket air fryer convection oven requires little to no oil for healthier frying results
The Philips uses the company’s Rapid Air technology, but those airflow and even-cooking descriptions are manufacturer claims rather than proof that it outperforms every competitor. Results will depend on quantity, food thickness, moisture, whether food is frozen or fresh, and how much each drawer is filled.
For crispier results, avoid deep piles, shake or turn food when appropriate, remove excess ice from frozen products and add a few minutes before making a dramatic temperature increase. Philips’s support material specifically addresses shaking and food that is not crisp, confirming that ordinary air-fryer technique still matters.

The appliance has a digital touchscreen, independent drawer settings, synchronization and eight presets. That is enough for straightforward operation without an app or internet connection. Presets are convenient for familiar foods, but they cannot account perfectly for every quantity, brand of frozen food, thickness or personal preference.
The regional Philips specification describes this appliance as non-connected, with no remote control or internet connectivity. Recipe support in Philips apps should not be confused with remote operation of the air fryer.
Cleaning and everyday ownership
Philips says the removable parts are dishwasher-safe and have a nonstick coating. That makes cleanup easier than scrubbing a fixed cooking chamber, but “dishwasher-safe” does not mean maintenance-free. Two drawers create more parts to handle than a single-basket model, and grease can still accumulate if it is left to bake on.

- EXTRA-LARGE CAPACITY: 9-quart total cooking capacity makes it easy to cook for the whole family.
- PERFECT-TIMING SYNC FINISH: Want two foods to finish cooking at the same time? Just select Sync Finish and the air fryer will do the math so the two baskets finish together.
- HEALTHY EATING MADE EASY: Because air frying requires little to no oil, foods crisp up beautifully without all the fat. Great for reheating leftovers, too.
- AUTO REMINDERS: For the best results, most foods benefit from a shake about halfway through cooking. That’s why this air fryer features a visual and audio SHAKE reminder.
- CARE-FREE CLEANUP: A nonstick interior and bonus basket liners prevent foods from sticking, which makes cleanup a breeze. Plus, the baskets and racks are top-rack dishwasher-safe.
Tom’s Guide noted that the high-sided insert in the larger basket takes up substantial dishwasher space, although its rubberized grips helped keep it in place. Avoid assuming that nonstick means scratch-proof, and follow the current manual for cleaning restrictions. The outer plastic can also show greasy fingerprints readily.

Philips Home Appliances lists a two-year warranty and a 30-day money-back guarantee on its U.S. storefront. Terms depend on the seller and region. Philips-hosted reviews include disclosures that some products were gifted or reviewed as part of a promotion, so they should be treated as anecdotal feedback rather than independent testing.
Counter space, power and ventilation
Regional Philips specifications list dimensions of approximately 382.5 mm wide, 443.9 mm deep and 314.2 mm high, with a weight of about 7.85 kg. A regional specification also lists 2,750 watts at 220–240 volts, but that should not be applied automatically to a U.S. model.
For a U.S. purchase, check the rating label or U.S. manual for voltage and wattage. Do not plug an imported 220–240-volt unit into a standard U.S. household outlet. Leave the manufacturer’s required ventilation clearance, and consider whether a large dual-zone appliance will occupy a permanent section of the counter and a high-load outlet.

| Choose | Best suited to | Main compromise |
|---|---|---|
| Philips 3000 Dual Basket | Main-plus-side meals, physical controls and synchronized finishing | Unequal drawers and a premium price |
| Ninja Foodi dual-basket models | Two larger or more equal portions, added features and some thermometer-equipped models | Often larger, more feature-heavy or less naturally suited to one main and one small side |
| Cosori 9-quart Dual Basket | Dual-basket cooking at a lower observed official price | Exact performance, cleanup and feature differences require model-specific comparison |
| Single-basket air fryer | Wide foods, large batches and one uninterrupted cooking surface | No independent simultaneous cooking zones |
Ninja’s U.S. catalog includes models such as the 10-quart DZ550, DZ401SD and vertically stacked SL401SD. The catalog showed some models around $179.99–$209.99 during the research period, but prices and stock change. Cosori’s official site displayed a 9-quart dual-basket model at $169.99. Compare current prices rather than relying on older launch or review pricing.

Price and value
The Philips Home Appliances U.S. page displayed $249.99 when checked for this review. That is a dated observed price, not a guaranteed current checkout price. At a substantial discount, the Philips becomes easier to recommend. Near $250, shoppers should compare it carefully with larger or more feature-rich Ninja models and lower-priced Cosori alternatives.
The Philips earns its premium only if its specific layout solves a recurring problem. If you routinely cook a large main and a smaller side, synchronized finishing can save real effort. If you mostly cook large batches of one food, the same divided design may feel restrictive.
Who should buy it?
- Buy it if: you cook for one to three people, regularly prepare a main and side together, want independent temperatures, prefer physical controls and have enough counter and dishwasher space.
- Consider Ninja instead if: you need two similarly sized zones, a larger single cooking area, a thermometer or more advanced features.
- Consider Cosori instead if: price is the priority and a comparable headline capacity is available for substantially less.
- Choose a single basket instead if: you usually cook one large batch, wide foods or family-size portions.
Final verdict
The Philips 3000 Series Dual Basket is a very good, practical dual-drawer air fryer—not a universal champion. It is arguably a “king” of main-and-side convenience for the right household, thanks to its unequal baskets and synchronized finish times. Its capacity geometry, lack of smart control, occasional need for extra cooking time and price near $250 prevent a broader claim.
Buy it when the meal-oriented layout matches how you cook and the price is competitive. Otherwise, a symmetrical Ninja, cheaper Cosori or spacious single-basket model may offer better value.
