Verdict: The Ninja Crispi Pro is a specialized upgrade, not a universally better air fryer. Its 6-quart glass cooking chamber, separate 2.5-quart casserole-style vessel, storage lids, and extra cooking controls make it genuinely useful for large meals and whole proteins. But the permanent countertop footprint and premium price make the original Ninja Crispi or a conventional basket-style model a better choice for many households.
The value calculation has also changed. The Crispi Pro launched at about $279 in late 2025, while SharkNinja’s listing showed it at $229.99 on August 18, 2026. Prices, colors, and bundles can change, but around $230 the Pro is considerably easier to justify than it was at launch.

What the Ninja Crispi Pro actually is
The Ninja Crispi Pro is an 1,800-watt, six-function countertop air fryer built around glass cooking vessels rather than a conventional coated metal drawer. Its main chamber holds 6 quarts, and the package includes a shallow 2.5-quart casserole-style glass vessel. Both vessels have lids for storage, so food can move from cooking to the refrigerator without being transferred to another container.

Its functions are air fry, bake, recrisp, max crisp, roast, and dehydrate. Unlike the original Crispi, the Pro also provides degree-by-degree temperature adjustment. The removable shelf or height-adjustment system lets users position food differently inside the chamber, including bringing the shallow vessel closer to the upper heating element for browning.

The glass sides are useful for monitoring food without opening the appliance. They may also appeal to shoppers who prefer to avoid a traditional nonstick-coated basket. That preference should not be confused with proof that the appliance is categorically healthier or “chemical-free”: the heating element, crisper tray, adhesives, and other components still matter when materials are the primary concern.
SharkNinja’s official product page lists the 1,800-watt specification. The main chamber is described here as 6 quarts; some syndicated coverage used an inconsistent 6.5-quart caption, so the 6-quart manufacturer-aligned description is the safer one.
What testing shows the Pro can do better
Large proteins are the clearest reason to upgrade
In CNET’s hands-on review, tester David Watsky cooked a 5-pound chicken with room for potatoes underneath. That is one of the strongest arguments for the Pro: it handles a whole bird or larger roast in a way the smaller Crispi does not.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesThis does not mean every large food will fit. A 6-quart label describes volume, not the exact cooking footprint or clearance. CNET also found the Pro was not quite large enough for a small frozen pizza. Treat that as a practical warning rather than an absolute pizza-size specification: the vessel’s shape matters as much as its nominal capacity.
The shallow vessel is more than a spare container
The 2.5-quart casserole-style vessel brings food closer to the upper heating element. That makes it useful for foods that benefit from top browning, including mac and cheese, English muffin pizzas, sweet-potato casserole, desserts, bacon, and meatballs. It also gives the Pro a different cooking geometry from a deep basket.
For casseroles and baked dishes, that flexibility may be more valuable than the extra air-frying modes. It can also make the appliance more useful for multi-part meals: the deep chamber can handle a larger main item while the shallow vessel handles a side or dessert.

Everyday foods are not automatically better
For fries, nuggets, vegetables, and reheated leftovers, the Pro should not be assumed to produce dramatically better results than a cheaper basket-style air fryer. CNET’s review suggested that the original Crispi already handled ordinary air-frying well. The Pro’s main advantages are capacity, flexibility, visibility, and the cooking-to-storage system—not a guaranteed transformation in crispness.

As with any air fryer, overcrowding can reduce airflow and browning. A larger vessel allows a bigger load, but it does not eliminate the need to spread food sensibly, shake or stir when appropriate, and use the correct shelf position.
What the Pro adds over the original Ninja Crispi
| Feature | Ninja Crispi Pro | Original Ninja Crispi |
|---|---|---|
| Main use case | Larger meals, whole proteins, and flexible cooking | Portable everyday air-frying |
| Main chamber | 6-quart glass chamber | Smaller glass system |
| Secondary vessel | 2.5-quart shallow casserole-style vessel | Smaller vessel system |
| Functions | Six, including roast and dehydrate | Four, according to CNET’s comparison |
| Temperature control | Precise temperature adjustment | No temperature control, according to CNET |
| Storage | Base effectively remains assembled | Cooking mechanism separates more easily for storage |
| Best value | When capacity and glass flexibility are priorities | When portability and routine use matter most |
These are meaningful upgrades, but not all will matter equally. If your normal meals are one or two servings of frozen food or leftovers, roast, dehydrate, and precise temperature control may rarely change your routine. The original Crispi remains the more sensible choice when its smaller capacity is sufficient.
The biggest drawback: it wants to live on your counter
The original Crispi’s cooking mechanism can be separated from its vessels and stored in a cabinet or large drawer. The Pro has a more permanent base that realistically occupies countertop space full time. For a small apartment, dorm, RV, or kitchen with limited clearance, that can outweigh its capacity advantage.
Before buying, measure the space where the appliance will operate and remain stored. Leave the clearance required by the owner’s guide, and consider whether you can safely lift and handle the large glass vessel. Glass is visible and easy to inspect, but it is heavier and potentially more fragile than a removable metal drawer.

- FAMILY-SIZED COOKING SYSTEM: 6-qt and 2.5-qt glassware, storage lids, crisper plates, and modular base for any occasion.
Cleaning, dishwasher fit, and storage
The glass vessels are one of the Pro’s most practical conveniences. CNET reported that the large vessel fit in the tester’s dishwasher and came out clean. That does not mean it will fit comfortably in every dishwasher, especially a compact or countertop model. Measure the opening and interior clearance before purchase.
Check the current owner’s guide for the status of each component. The glass vessels, crisper trays, shelf, and lids should not be treated as a single dishwasher-safe category without confirmation. The motorized base must be kept out of the dishwasher and cleaned according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
The glass also makes residue easier to see than an opaque basket, although baked-on grease or starch may still require soaking. Storage lids are valuable if you regularly save leftovers, but the vessels still need to fit your refrigerator and leave enough room for other food.

For shoppers trying to avoid a conventional coated cooking basket, the Crispi Pro’s glass vessels are an appealing design choice. They provide visibility and can double as serving and storage containers.
But glass alone does not establish superior health outcomes. The complete food-contact system includes the crisper tray and other components. Unless you have specific material documentation from the manufacturer, the accurate claim is that the Pro offers a glass cooking-vessel option—not that it is categorically nontoxic, chemical-free, or healthier.
How the price changes the recommendation
The Pro launched at approximately $279, with SharkNinja’s launch release listing $279 at Target. SharkNinja later showed a direct-listing price of $229.99, reduced from a displayed $312.96, on August 18, 2026. The latter is an observed price, not a guaranteed permanent MSRP; check the current retailer listing before purchasing.

- Around $280: Buy only if the larger chamber, casserole vessel, or specialized functions solve a specific problem.
- Around $230: A much stronger value for households that will regularly use the larger vessel.
- Around $160–$180: The original Crispi becomes the value choice when portability and everyday air-frying are enough.
- Under $150: A conventional model may offer better performance per dollar if glass is not important.
At $230, the Pro is not cheap, but its price is easier to defend as a combined air fryer, casserole cooker, and glass storage system. It is still poor value if you mostly cook small portions or already own a functioning air fryer.
Alternatives worth considering
Original Ninja Crispi 4-in-1
Choose the original if you want the glass-vessel concept but need easier storage and a lower price. You give up capacity, roast and dehydrate modes, and precise temperature control, but gain a more portable design. CNET’s reviewer preferred it for everyday use.
Ninja Air Fryer Pro 4-in-1
This is the better fit for buyers who want a conventional drawer air fryer at a lower price and do not care about glass. It lacks the Crispi Pro’s cooking-to-storage system but may be simpler for routine meals.
Instant Vortex Plus Dual 8QT
Instant’s official collection showed an observed price of $189.99 when crawled. Its dual-basket design is more useful for cooking two foods at different settings simultaneously. It does not provide the Pro’s transparent vessels, casserole dish, or storage-lid system.
Cosori 5- and 6-quart models
Cosori offers multiple conventional 3–6-quart models, including the Pro LE 5-quart. These are worth comparing for shoppers prioritizing ordinary basket-style air-frying and price. The specific current price should be checked at publication.
Oven-style air fryers
An oven-style model may better suit readers who frequently cook pizza, use baking trays, or need several rack positions. It will generally take more space and may be harder to clean than the Crispi Pro’s glass vessels. The Pro should not be marketed as a complete oven replacement.
Best Value
- FAMILY-SIZED COOKING SYSTEM: 6-qt and 2.5-qt glassware, storage lids, crisper plates, and modular base for any occasion.
- POWERFUL COOKING SYSTEM: 1800-watt air fryer that can cook a 7.5-lb chicken, feeding up to 10 people.
- VERSATILE CAPACITY: Modular base adjusts to fit 2.5-qt, 4-qt, and 6-qt CleanCrisp Glassware for everyday or family-sized meals.
- NONTOXIC & DURABLE: CleanCrisp glassware is designed for non-toxic cooking and storing. CleanCrisp glassware is also thermal shock resistant—go from frozen to crispy in minutes.
- CUSTOMIZABLE 6-IN-1 FUNCTIONS: Max Crisp, Air Fry, Bake/Proof, Roast, Recrisp, and Dehydrate.
Who should buy the Ninja Crispi Pro?
Buy it if you regularly cook whole chickens, roasts, casseroles, or family-size meals; want glass vessels with storage lids; value being able to see the food; and are comfortable leaving a large base on the counter.
Choose the original Crispi if portability, cabinet storage, and everyday value matter more than maximum capacity.
Choose a conventional model if you want the lowest cost, a compact drawer, dual-zone cooking, or the broadest selection of competing designs.
Wait for a sale if you like the glass system but cannot justify the launch-era price. The Pro makes substantially more sense near $230 than near $280, provided you will actually use its additional capacity.
The available hands-on review covered roughly three weeks of use. That supports conclusions about workflow and short-term cooking performance, not claims about multi-year reliability, glass breakage rates, heating-element life, or warranty experience.
