Newpark Shopping Centre’s planned alfresco dining hub was approved in March 2024, and construction began that July. Hawaiian said the area was expected to open later in 2024, but the available official information does not confirm an exact opening date. The centre’s current directory lists a range of food and drink businesses, including Banh Mi Vung Tau and T4.
What was planned for the dining hub?
Hawaiian announced on 26 March 2024 that the City of Wanneroo had approved the development application for a new dining hub at Newpark Shopping Centre in Girrawheen. The proposal described an alfresco space with comfortable seating, greenery, ambient lighting and fresh signage, alongside broader improvements to the centre’s interior and entrances. Hawaiian said the improvements were intended to make the neighbourhood centre more welcoming and strengthen its community role. The dining hub was part of a wider centre refresh rather than a standalone restaurant development.
