Measuring tools: Moore & Wright digital calipers and height gauges
On 15 January 2025, Bowers Group announced a new Moore & Wright precision-measuring range that includes digital calipers and height gauges. A digital caliper is relevant when a task calls for measuring dimensions; a height gauge is suited to height measurement and related layout work. The announcement cited here does not state individual models’ measuring ranges or resolutions, so check the specific instrument’s specifications before choosing one for close-tolerance work.

Layout tools: CHANNELLOCK levels and squares
CHANNELLOCK announced magnetic and non-magnetic I-beam and box levels on 15 May 2025. The announcement also described carpentry squares and billet torpedo levels as arriving later that summer. The company stated an accuracy of ±0.0005 in./in. in all ten working positions; this is the manufacturer’s specification, not an independently verified measurement.
Choose the format for the job and work surface: magnetic levels can attach to suitable ferrous surfaces, while non-magnetic versions do not rely on that feature. The announcement does not give enough detail to compare individual models beyond the stated formats and accuracy figure.

Workholding: Festool Systainer³ SYS3 MFT M 112 mobile workbench
Festool’s autumn 2025 announcement describes the Systainer³ SYS3 MFT M 112 as a mobile workbench with a perforated plate and V-groove. Those features support workholding and positioning tasks, but suitability depends on the workpiece and the way the bench will be used. APS 900/3 worktop template
